Rockets' Kevin Durant ruthlessly eviscerates fan for ‘diminishing his greatness'
The post Rockets' Kevin Durant ruthlessly eviscerates fan for 'diminishing his greatness' appeared first on ClutchPoints. The two things Kevin Durant doesn't appreciate on social media are trolls and people trying to disrespect his game. The Houston Rockets forward ran into one of those recently, and he didn't let the social media user get off the hook easily. Durant is always going to clap back when he gets the chance, and that's what happened in this situation. The altercation started when someone originally wrote on X, formerly Twitter, 'The last time that Kevin Durant led his team in FGA per game was 2018.' A user doubled down on that post, saying, 'Greatest scorer ever my a–. Yall like efficiency more than what's needed to win.' There's no surprise that Durant didn't catch the tweet from the user, and when he did, he called him out, running through some of his accomplishments throughout his career. '30k points on low fga. Ima coaches dream. Dime dropper, I mastered scoring at 24 years old man. Give it a rest, I don't care about being the best scorer ever. You are diminishing my all time greatness callin me that,' Durant wrote. Durant is known as one of the greatest scorers in the league, and he's been doing it since he got into the league. It's even more impressive that the doesn't have to take many field goal attempts to score a lot of points. That shows that Durant is efficient at what he does best, and that's getting buckets. Kevin Durant ready to help Rockets next season Durant said to that social media user that he is a coach's dream, and he isn't lying, because the Rockets probably feel like they hit the jackpot this offseason acquiring him. The Rockets surprised many people last season when they finished No. 2 in the Western Conference, but they were not able to get out of the first round of the playoffs, losing to the Golden State Warriors. Adding a player like Durant can take them to the next level and get them over the hump, and they should once again be near the top of the West. He also has some key players around him, such as Fred VanVleet, Amen Thompson, and Alperen Sengun, who will relieve the pressure off of him. Head coach Ime Udoka seems excited to have Durant on board. 'Just like all our vets did; come in and impart wisdom, and teach his experience with these guys, and it'll be invaluable for these guys to see and learn from him,' Durant said. Rockets' Alperen Sengun calls out whiny Warriors
The post Rockets' Alperen Sengun calls out whiny Warriors appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Houston Rockets have arguably had a busier offseason than any other NBA team, having traded for Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant and made some additional savvy free agency signings. The Rockets are hoping they will be able to compete for an NBA championship with their new core built around Durant, Alperen Sengun, and Amen Thompson. This spring, the Rockets were escorted out of the first round by the Golden State Warriors despite being the number two seed, and recently, Sengun got 100% real on what he perceived to be some hypocrisy on the part of Golden State during that series. 'They're a very experienced team, and they fouled a lot. In the playoffs, they don't call it. But they were the ones crying all series about fouls not being called,' said Sengun, per @SocratesDergi on X, formerly Twitter. The Warriors have faced accusations of relying on illegal screens and other questionable maneuvers since the early days of their dynasty in the mid-2010s, and they're still finding ways to get under their opponents' skin a decade later. Sengun and the Rockets found themselves down 3-1 in the series this year before clawing their way back and forcing a Game 7, only to get blown out in front of their home fans. A chronicled history Perhaps no one player in NBA history has tortured a franchise the way Stephen Curry has the Houston Rockets over the course of his career. Curry first matched up with the Rockets in the playoffs a decade ago, gentleman's sweeping them in the 2015 Western Conference Finals en route to his first championship, and he went on to eliminate Houston in 2016, 2018, 2019, and most recently this past season in 2025. The latest heartbreak may very well have been what motivated the Rockets to push their chips to the center of the table and acquire Durant, who helped send them home in the 2018 Western Conference Finals when he too was a member of the Warriors. Houston is hoping that with Durant in the fold, they will be able to end their 10-year long nightmare and raise an NBA championship trophy for the first time since 1995. Luka Doncic suffers injury scare during Slovenian exhibition game, reportedly avoids anything serious
This is what NBA teams fear when their best players suit up for their country. Luka Doncic had an injury scare while playing for Slovenia in a tune-up game for EuroBasket when teammate Gregor Hrovat fell into Doncic's knee. Doncic limped back to the locker room but has avoided serious injury, reports Dan Woike of The Athletic. Doncic did not return to the game, however, he did return to the bench to watch the end of the exhibition against Latvia. We'll see what the diagnosis is once the doctors do more tests (LCL sprain?). Doncic impressed in the first half, scoring 26 points with five assists and five boards. Lakers fans will be watching the rest of EuroBasket with concern... just like Bucks fans are watching the Greek side with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nuggets fans with Serbia and Nikola Jokic, and the list goes on and on.
