Manchester United's interest in Tyrese Noubissie, the France U16 captain, is set to be ended by his decision to leave Manchester City for a professional deal at Strasbourg
France youngster Tyrese Noubissie is set to snub interest from Manchester United to sign his first professional contract with Strasbourg having spent two seasons in Manchester City's academy.

The midfielder, who captains Les Bleus' Under-16 side, has had approaches from a host of top teams across Europe - including United, Ajax and Bayer Leverkusen.

But he is set to plump for Strasbourg, as first reported by L'Equipe, because the path to senior action appears clearer at the club owned by Chelsea's BlueCo.

Noubissie arrived at City in the summer of 2023 after the club stumped up approximately £850,000 to sign him from Leicester. He has continued to develop since then but confirmed earlier this week that he would be leaving the Etihad.
"After an incredible two years filled with hard work and dedication, It's time for me to turn a page and face a new challenge,' he said.
"Wearing the Manchester City badge was an honour and I appreciate everything that the club has done for me. It has allowed me to grow not just as a footballer but also as a person. I want to give a big thank you to all of my coaches and staff that have helped me have the best experience possible.
"Also a huge thank you to all my teammates for the past two years, managing to be the first age group to win the KDB cup is something I'm incredibly proud to have achieved with you.
"I leave this club with nothing but respect and gratitude. Manchester City will always be part of me. Thank you."

Strasbourg will play in the UEFA Conference League this season after Liam Rosenior guided a young team to seventh in Ligue 1 - although they were only three points off the Champions League places having lost their final two fixtures of the season.
Despite that on pitch success, many of the club's fans have been unhappy with the ownership of BlueCo amid fears that they will effectively become a feeder club for

Borussia Dortmund have reservations over re-signing Jadon Sancho from Man Utd

Manchester United's plan to sell Jadon Sancho has taken another blow with Borussia Dortmund reportedly getting cold feet over the transfer. Earlier this summer, the winger was one of five United players told they have no future in Ruben Amorim's team. Marcus Rashford has left for Barcelona but the club is struggling to offload Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia. Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea and looked set to join them permanently, only for the Blues to pay a £5million penalty to cancel the transfer. Juventus have been linked with the former Three Lions star all summer but it is said they have now cooled their interest, while Dortmund are now considering whether to sign Sancho for a third time. His first spell in Germany, after joining from Manchester City's academy, was a great success, recording 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 games, form that lead to the ill-fated £73m move to Old Trafford. The 25-year-old returned on loan for the second-half of the 2023/24 season after his public fallout with Erik ten Hag and helped Dortmund reach the Champions League final. Sancho is willing to slash his wages by half in order to facilitate a move, while United's asking price has fallen to around £17m as they look to cash-in on the forward, whose contract expires next year. While this should make a transfer to Dortmund more financially viable, Sky Sports Germany report that the Bundesliga giants have some reservations over doing a deal. It is said that though they admire Sancho, they are wary of being criticised for a lack of creativity in the transfer market, especially after an underwhelming 2024/25 campaign. Moreover, there are question marks over the player due to him being rejected by both United and Chelsea, despite his obvious talent. More Trending Dortmund manager Niko Kovac has refused to discuss the prospect of signing the 23-cap England star, but sporting director Sebastian Kehl has confirmed it is possibility. '[Sancho] is constantly being linked with us. I understand the desire,' Kehl said. 'We're thinking about it within our possibilities. The conditions have to be right. We will definitely do something, but we're limited. 'We have various targets. We have a few days left.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Joao Palhinha poised for Premier League return with Tottenham

Spurs are eager to boost their squad for new boss Thomas Frank ahead of the club's return to the Champions League this season and set their sights on the Portugal international. Palhinha only signed for Bayern last summer from Fulham in a deal worth up to £47.4million but endured a difficult debut campaign and made only six starts in Bundesliga, which has opened the door for a return to the Premier League. Talks between Tottenham and Bayern got under way on Thursday and an agreement has now been reached, PA understands with Palhinha given the green light to undergo a medical ahead of the proposed move. Palhinha caught the eye at Fulham (PA) The midfielder, who turned 30 earlier this month, will join Spurs on a season-long loan with an option included in the deal to make the move permanent for a 30million euros (£26m) fee. During two years at Craven Cottage, Palhinha quickly became a fan favourite with his all-action style across 79 appearances where he scored eight goals. It earned the former Sporting Lisbon youngster a big-move move to Bayern, but after struggling for opportunities and making only 25 appearances for the German champions last season, he is set for a return to London.
