Johnny Depp reveals he never chased fame; expresses about love was manifested differently
Johnny Depp
, the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star, expressed that fame is the last thing he ever chased, and shared about the intricacies of love. After completing successful decades in the industry, the 62-year-old revealed that he never wanted popularity or had any ambition of pleasing the masses.
"Fame is the last thing I ever chased."
In a conversation with The Sunday Times, Johnny Depp said that after spending 9000 years in the industry, he could have been more famous or pleased the press, but that was never his intention. "Well, fame is the last thing I ever chased. If you look at the 9,000 years that I've been doing this s***, it's pretty clear that I wasn't ever thinking how I could be more famous, make a hit, or please the press,' he said, before adding, 'Fame is an occupational hazard - but if I spout off about how upset I am, people will say, 'Sweetheart, take a job pulling trash bags.
'"
While Depp was growing up, he saw relationships evolve with his siblings after their parents got divorced during his teenage years. Noting that his brother and father had a rocky relationship, he pointed out that his siblings got married but he chose a different route.
Love was manifested in a different way
'There were many episodes of conflict - he and my father would duke it out - and Debbie had her problems with them too. Then Danny got married. Soon Debbie got married too, so it was only me and Christi.

Then Christi got married, so it was only me. And dynamics changed. It was almost as if I was used to conflict. It was not abnormal. I did my best to just step in and out,' he said about the family dynamics.
Depp recalled his first feeling of 'love,' and said that he never knew what it meant. He just felt a connection when the partner was as sad as him. However, he changed his life after experiencing just a sliver of life, and love was manifested in other ways.

Why does Amitabh Bachchan not praise Aishwarya Rai in public? Veteran star addresses long-standing question
Amitabh Bachchan has long been known for expressing admiration for his son Abhishek Bachchan on social media. From acknowledging Abhishek's achievements to celebrating his growth, the veteran actor doesn't hold back when it comes to showing appreciation for his son. However, some fans have noticed that this enthusiastic praise rarely extends to the other members of his family—particularly his wife, Jaya Bachchan , and daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan . This observation recently led to a discussion online, which Amitabh finally addressed in his own words. Through a brief yet telling message, he shared his perspective on why his praise for the women in his family remains private. Praise for Son, Silence for Others? The conversation began after Amitabh posted images of himself greeting fans outside his residence, Jalsa. A user in the comments questioned why he doesn't also post about the women in his family with the same energy. Responding directly, the actor stated that he prefers to appreciate them in his heart and not in public, citing it as a mark of respect. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Tại sao ngày càng nhiều người cao tuổi chọn cấy ghép răng giá phải chăng? Language barriers vanish in Vivek Vijayakumaran's dialogue-free play
Bengaluru-based theatre artiste Vivek Vijayakumaran's play, It is You, resonates across languages, borders, and beliefs, without a single word being spoken. The play emerged from the desire to respond to the growing religious division and marginalisation, inviting the audience to an emotional space. Excerpts from a conversation: 'MOVEMENT CAN PORTRAY WHAT WORDS CAN'T' For Vivek and his collaborator Tyson, silence is a powerful universal medium that connects everyone. 'We knew we were tackling a complex theme. However, we also wanted this piece to transcend contexts — to smaller towns, villages, metros, and even beyond India. Movement can embody complexities that sometimes even language cannot hold. The idea is to reach people on a deeply human level, no matter what language they speak, which religion they practice, or where they come from,' shares Vivek. 'WRITING GOES BEYOND WORDS, I WRITE MOVEMENTS' 'I write actions, sequences, movements, and describe in detail what happens, where, and why. It's all about mapping a performer's journey on stage. Every movement and gesture has an intention behind it. I write when the sound should come in, and what instrument will be played. The script is more like a blueprint, a guide that holds the soul of the performance. It shows the path, but what happens on the floor is what truly brings it alive,' explains Vivek. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! But, we because our biggest critics; we spent so long on the floor that the play is now in our bones Vivek Vijayakumaran 'THE PLAY IS A CALL FOR COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY' 'The play engages with questions of power and control, but it ultimately turns the mirror towards the audience. The title of the play itself is a direct provocation. Maybe it is you who is the problem. Maybe it is you who is the solution. It is a call to recognise our role in the systems we critique. It is a demand for introspection, accountability, and empathy,' says Vivek.
