Motorcyclist dies after accident with lorry on BKE
In a video posted on the Singapore Roads Accident.com's Facebook page at around 9am, a blue police tent is seen erected next to a lorry carrying pre-fabricated construction material.
Blood and debris can be seen near the tent.
Three uniformed officers and a man wearing a white safety helmet are seen speaking to each other.
Three police cars, an Emas recovery vehicle, a Land Transport Authority motorcycle and a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) ambulance can also be seen in the video.
SCDF and the police said they were alerted to the accident along BKE towards PIE before SLE exit at about 6.50am.
The 23-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic and his 23-year-old male pillion rider, who was unconscious, was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, the authorities said.
A male lorry driver, 39, is assisting the police with investigations.

SINGAPORE - Two people were taken to hospital following a crash involving three tipper trucks and a tanker truck on the ECP towards Changi on the afternoon of Aug 15. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the police said they were alerted to the accident on the ECP towards Changi before the exit to the PIE at about 2.30pm on Aug 15. The accident involved three tipper trucks and a tanker truck, said the police. A person was found trapped in the driver's seat of a truck, and was freed using hydraulic rescue equipment, said SCDF. Two male tipper truck drivers, one aged 48 and the other aged 46, were taken conscious to Changi General Hospital, the authorities said. Another person declined to be taken to hospital after SCDF assessed the person for minor injuries, said SCDF. The aftermath of the accident can be seen in a video posted on Singapore Roads Facebook page on Aug 15. Footage showed that the accident happened on the extreme left lane of the expressway, on the lane leading to the exit to the PIE. The video shows four tipper trucks and a tanker truck at a standstill. The tipper truck at the end does not appear to be involved in the accident, with a gap between the trucks involved in the chain collision. Police investigations are ongoing. Two people died after a fire broke out in a flat at Block 106, Jalan Bukit Merah on 13 Aug. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said in a Facebook post that they responded around 4pm. When they arrived, they found the living room and bedroom of a fourth-floor unit engulfed in flames. Firefighters used a water jet to extinguish the blaze and discovered two individuals unconscious in the kitchen. Police told The Straits Times (ST) that the victims were a 34-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman. Preliminary investigations do not indicate foul play, and further investigations are ongoing. Then victims were taken to Singapore General Hospital but later succumbed to their injuries. Two other residents from nearby units were also hospitalised – one for feeling unwell and another for smoke inhalation. Around 60 residents from the affected block were evacuated as a safety measure. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. A friend of the deceased man told ST he saw the couple shouting for help at their window.
