Beed prison superintendent says his transfer is on administrative grounds, nothing to do with claims by dismissed cop

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Beed prison superintendent Baksar Mulani, who received a transfer order to Latur prison on Monday, clarified that his reassignment is unrelated to the allegations made by terminated sub-inspector Ranjit Kasale.
The transfer, which came shortly after Kasale's video release claiming preferential treatment for Valmik Karad — the primary accused in Massajog sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh's abduction and murder case — attracted attention.
Speaking to TOI, Mulani said, "The state prison department transferred me to Latur on completion of my three-year tenure on May 24. It is an administrative transfer. My transfer has nothing to do with the false allegations levelled by dismissed sub-inspector Ranjit Kasale that VVIP treatment was given to Valmik Karad, the prime accused in the Santosh Deshmukh murder case.
This is because Kasale was lodged at the Harsul Central Prison.
He was not lodged at Beed jail for security reasons."
Kasale, released on bail in a case under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, alleged on Saturday that Valmik Karad receives privileged treatment in prison. He stated that Karad receives non-vegetarian meals twice weekly and makes substantial purchases from the prison canteen, ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000, using other inmates' names.

The dismissed officer's social media videos additionally claimed that Karad receives special three-layered roti, premium tea, and a superior blanket. A senior prison department official responded, "The prison department has its checks and balances. Just because someone has claimed that another accused is getting VIP treatment inside the prison, the prison department will not go and initiate action against him.
Nowadays, there are CCTV cameras installed in almost all prisons. Every allegation can be cross-verified."

Odisha: Four arrested for rape of two minors

Police arrested four persons for allegedly raping two minor cousins after luring them from a marriage function, in Odisha on Saturday. The accused abducted the minors on June 3 from the function and held them captive till June 4, after which they abandoned the victims in a secluded area. Police said that the victims returned on their own on June 5, following which their family members lodged a complaint. A case was registered under BNS Section 70 (gang rape) and Section 11 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, that deals with sexual harassment. Following this, a manhunt was launched to arrest the accused. Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M said that the four accused — all belonging to one village — were arrested when they were trying to leave the state. 'One of the victims was in touch with an accused through her mother's mobile phone. He lured the victims to an isolated place and gangraped them along with his three friends for two days,' said the SP. The police have recorded the statements of the victims and sent them to the child welfare committee for the necessary counselling. 'We will thoroughly investigate the case. We will request the court to expedite the trial and ensure maximum punishment to the accused,' the SP said.

FBI chief Kash Patel admits his house was swatted: What is swatting and why is it increasing in America?

Image credits: X/@Kash_Patel FBI director Kash Patel recently had an interview with popular podcaster Joe Rogan where he made a shocking revelation that his house had been swatted. Rogan, like the listeners of the podcast, appeared shocked by the admissions asking, "What? The head of the FBI gets swatted?" to which Patel replied 'These people play, it's the ultimate hypocrisy. They have two sets of rules: One against you, and one for them.' What is swatting and why is it becoming a rising problem in America? Explained: What is swatting? Image credits: X/@ClownWorld_ If there's any federal law system that is popular for its alacrity in response it's the American one. Be it 911 or SWAT, every call for emergency and protection is taken into account and immediate response is assured. Recently, the country has been experiencing a rise in the cases of swatting. Swatting includes false calls to the 911 or Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) reporting a false threat at a location. Swatters falsely report major threats like bomb threats, hostage situations and murders in order to ensure serious responses from the emergency services. The SWAT team responds to the locations and assumes the people residing there as points of threat. Swatting essentially makes the misuse of the responsiveness and alert actions of the federal teams and is also a threat to the life of the people whose houses are swatted as they are treated as points of threat with gunpoint and allegations. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Spiele kostenlos in deinem Browser - Kein Download oder Installation erforderlich! Now added to the list is the head of the FBI, Kash Patel who himself has been very vocal on launching active campaigns against swatting and recognising the seriousness of the situation. 'I want to address the alarming rise in 'Swatting' incidents targeting media figures. The FBI is aware of this dangerous trend, and my team and I are already taking action to investigate and hold those responsible accountable,' Patel had posted on X a while ago. 'The one thing we will do is put out all that information to the American public.' Patel promised at Rogan's podcast. He added, 'And if we can work with our partners at the DOJ to come up with a prosecution, that will be their decision.' Why is swatting increasing in America? From social media to AI apps, there's not much hidden from people about each other. People overshare personal information on social media, their IP addresses are easily accessible by hackers, and they keep updating in real time where they are. These acts make it very easy for your abodes to be swatted. In order to prevent your house from being swatted, keep on checking the privacy settings on your emails and social media, update your passwords from time to time, and avoid sharing any kind of personal information such as your real-time location, hour or office address and more.

Five more Maoists killed in op in which top guns Sudhakar & Bhaskar were eliminated

Raipur: Seven Maoists – including central committee member Sudhakar and another top commander, Bhaskar – have been killed in an operation that is on in Indravati National Park area of Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, Bastar police said on Saturday. Sudhakar, the ideological chief of Maoists, was gunned down on Thursday and Bhaskar, a Telangana State Committee Member, on Friday. Skirmishes continued all night and on Saturday, the bodies of five more cadres were found. Two of them are women. Police are trying to identify them. Other high-level Maoist operatives, including Telangana State Committee's press in-charge Bandi Prakash, have been spotted in the encounter zone. With this operation, sources say, security forces have foiled a crucial Maoist attempt to coordinate their activities in the region following the encounter killing of CPI(Maoist) general secretary Basavaraju. Security forces have been battling not only insurgents' bullets and treacherous hilly terrain, but also snakes and other threats in the wild as the operation continues deep inside the jungles. Bastar range IG P Sundarraj announced the elimination of 7 Maoists and said that a large cache of arms and ammunition, including two AK-47 rifles, has been seized from the encounter zones. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo "Search operations and area domination exercises continue in the dense forest terrain to flush out any remaining insurgents and ensure complete control of the region," Sundarraj said. "A few personnel sustained snake bites and bee stings and suffered severe dehydration but the forces kept up the momentum. All injured personnel are currently in stable condition and receiving medical care," Sundarraj said. High-intensity encounters were spread across three consecutive days — June 5-7. The encounter in which Bashar was killed was the most fierce, said police sources. On Thursday, Sundarraj had said that the operation was launched after precise inputs on the location of some top Maoist commanders. District Reserve Guards, Special Task Force and CRPF's CoBRA commandos moved out to intercept the group on Wednesday night. They went on foot to maintain stealth and took the Maoists completely by surprise the next morning. As the insurgents scattered, the forces also spread out and running gunbattles broke out across a large swathe of the jungle. The operation, still underway, is one of the most significant missions in the red corridor in recent years, said an officer, adding that they are hopeful of more success. Sudhakar, a native of Andhra Pradesh, was in charge of the Maoists' Revolutionary Political School and was in the insurgent outfit for nearly four decades. He was the third central committee member to be killed in Bastar this year after Jai Ram alias Chalpathy on Jan 21 and Basavaraju on May 21.
