Emmerdale favourite cuts ties with family after showdown and a legend is gutted

Metro2 days ago

Ross Barton (Michael Parr) was left quietly gutted in tonight's Emmerdale, as Lewis (Bradley Riches) decided he no longer wanted anything to do with him.
Yesterday, Lewis learnt the truth about his mum's death. Shortly after his arrival, he was told by Ross and Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) that Adam Barton pushed Emma from a bridge, but he's always wondered if that was actually true.
An accidental slip up from Ross allowed Lewis to work out that their aunt Moira actually killed Emma.
In an attempt to stop Lewis from going to the police, Ross called Moira back to Butlers and together, they tried to explain to the new face exactly who his mum really was.
Unfortunately, Lewis reacted in a way that caused even more problems for Ross and Moira. He believed that his unwell mother deserved justice, and that he should go to the police.
Just as he prepared to leave though, Ross told Lewis that if he did anything, he would tell the police about the cannabis farm in his loft. Blackmailing a brother you've known for five minutes certainly isn't a wise idea but Ross' loyalty lies with Moira, he was always going to do his best to protect her. More Trending
Frustrated and backed into a corner, Lewis announced to Ross tonight that he doesn't want a brother who manipulates him. He walked away and Ross suggested that he didn't have a problem with Lewis leaving.

Back at Butlers though, Ross was clearly gutted about the fallout with Lewis.
When they first met, Ross wasn't fussed about his new brother, but they ended up connecting and having a laugh. Lewis also reminded Ross of his late brother Finn, who was shot by their mum.
If Lewis returns, can Ross rebuild their connection?

Stranger Things fans 'furious' after Netflix announces season 5 release news

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Up Next Previous Page Next Page Stranger Things fans have been left asking if Netflix is 'joking' over the release schedule for the fifth and final series. It was announced in 2022 that the wildly popular sci-fi horror series had been renewed for a fifth season, but that it would mark the end of the show. Season four left off with Hawkins being torn apart when a gate to the Upside Down opens following Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the gang's epic battle with Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower). After three long years of waiting, we finally have a release date for the episodes, but they come with a twist that has dampened some fans' excitement. Netflix has announced that the last season of Stranger Things will be released in three parts on November 26, December 25, and December 31. It's not the first time this has happened, with the first seven episodes of the fourth season released on May 27 and the final two episodes wrapping up the season debuted on July 1. A release date for the fifth and final series of Stranger Things has been announced (Picture: Netflix) It has been confirmed the series will be split into three parts (Picture: Netflix) Fans have aired their anger over the show potentially being 'dragged out' (Picture: Netflix) Fans have been left bowled over by the news, with many asking if it was a 'joke' and lamenting how long they have had to wait for the final episodes to hit our screens, with season four wrapping up in 2022. 'Three episodes per volume. You're joking 😭😭😭😭,' Sancheezzzy wrote on X, while Imani said 'It's been three years and we still gotta wait for parts. . .' Steveislegend joked, 'This is going to take place in the nursing home', and Jimmy XRP added, 'Eleven is going to have children by the time this s**t is released.' Some felt it had been 'too long' between the series and fans had 'forgotten' what had happened, and didn't 'care' enough anymore to catch up. Truestorygrande shared a lengthy rant, writing on the social media platform: 'The way they just can't release it all at once, lmfao proves they enjoy making us wait, after waiting for near four years by the time it airs at the END of 2025 'I thought we'd get it around Halloween? also like who's gonna be streaming on new year's eve or xmas day… most are with friends or family so like if they're tracking streaming numbers on Netflix day of release…. they should've chose different days that AREN'T ALL three holidays.' Others, however, thought the release schedule was a good idea to prevent spoilers (Picture: Netflix) Fans of the show don't have long to wait to find out how it will all end (Picture: Netflix) Everything we know about Stranger Things season five When will Stranger Things season five be released? It has been announced that the fifth and final series of Stranger Things will be released in three parts: Volume 1 – November 26 Volume 2 – December 25 Volume 3 – December 31 Each of the volumes will drop in the United Kingdom at 1am GMT. Who is in the cast? Tudum confirmed the cast for season five includes: Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers) David Harbour (Jim Hopper) Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson) Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair) Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield) Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler) Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers) Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley) Priah Ferguson (Erica Sinclair) Brett Gelman (Murray) Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna) Cara Buono (Karen Wheeler) Amybeth McNulty (Vickie) Nell Fisher (Holly Wheeler) Jake Connelly (Derek Turnbow) Alex Breaux (Lt. Akers) Linda Hamilton (Dr. Kay) What is the plot? An official plot synopsis reads: 'The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. 'Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. 'As the anniversary of Will's disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. 'The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they've faced before. To end this nightmare, they'll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.' They continued: 'Anyone I mention Stranger Things to irl, they're all annoyed it took this long and say the producers are acting like it's some avatar level when, it's not. I agree like it's complicated yes, but it's not that level. 'Near 4 years for 8 episodes. Just wow — tv shows don't NEED to be produced like movies, that's the point, and it's why we were able to get 25 episode seasons.. all an hour long too. I prefer not movie-like quality and more episodes, than movie-like quality + waiting years in between seasons, then having to rewatch AND getting less episodes.' Many said they felt the season would be 'dragged out' by releasing it this way, but others thought it was a good way to prevent spoilers being leaked for the final episode. 'Netflix is releasing it in batches like this because they know people will start uploading the final scene of the last ep if it was released,' GothamChief theorised. Luna_west08 added: 'Ahh, the final season is almost here!! November 26 for Volume 1 already has me buzzing, And ending the year with Volume 2 and 3? Talk about the ultimate binge fest 🎉 Who else is ready to cry and scream with me??' The popular supernatural horror series launched in 2016 and stars Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, David Harbour, and Winona Ryder, who are all set to reprise their roles for the upcoming episodes. Stranger Things season five, volume one will be released on Netflix on November 26, followed by volume two on December 25, and volume three on December 31. Got a story? Patsy Kensit reveals Emmerdale and EastEnders return chances

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Former Emmerdale star Patsy Kensit revealed that she'd 'give anything' to return to EastEnders if the opportunity arises. The Lethal Weapon 2 actress played Emma Harding, mum to former mainstay Lola Pearce, on the long-running BBC serial two years ago. To soap audiences, this wasn't Patsy's first role in the genre, having played schemer Sadie King on Emmerdale between 2004 and 2006. Sadie is a character that fans have longed to stage a comeback and therefore we couldn't resist asking her about the chances of such a thing on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards. 'I had an amazing time on Emmerdale but I loved EastEnders also very very much,' said Patsy. 'I would give anything to get back on that show because it was a joy, as was Emmerdale but if I could put a wish out, it would be to go back to Walford.' When Emma last left the Square, she had slept with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in a story that resulted in the patriarch's marriage to Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) coming to an end. There was subsequent discussion among fans about whether or not we'd see her stage a return – and if she could perhaps return with Phil's baby. Weighing in on such a theory, Patsy said: 'I mean, age allowing! That would be a medical miracle, would it not? But I think that would be a great way to come back – pushing a pram! More Trending 'But also Lexi, because she's got the teenage years yet. Isabella [Brown], who plays her is such a brilliant actress. 'There's a great relationship and conflict that could happen. But it's in the hands of the gods! And the gods are the writers on these shows – and the writing is brilliant. As it was on Emmerdale.' View More » Make it happen, EastEnders! The rock icon, aged 77 and married to EastEnders and Doctor Who star Anita Dobson, posted: "My Dad's supportive handiwork for our first Queen tour of Europe... 1974! ! ! As honoured in Stockholm last night. Love to all - Bri." Another added their voice, saying: "Wow! ! What a treasure! ! Can't you just picture him sitting there, drawing, coloring, marking the routes, all the time thinking proudly, 'That's MY boy!'", reports Plymouth Live. A third shared a personal memory: "I saw and crying, I didn't expect than I'm a small girl at 1994 in Russia, my Papa brought me a CD The Works and told 'See, this is a good Music' then a couldn't explain my life without Queen music." An admirer also commented on the detail in the map: "What beautiful attention to detail your father gave to these maps and what a lovely tribute you gave to him last night. Inspiring word." This heartwarming revelation comes hot on the heels of the news that Brian and fellow Queen member Roger Taylor were celebrated with the 2025 Polar Music Prize at a grand ceremony in Sweden on Tuesday (May 27). The musicians were lauded for their impressive careers and impact on music, and accepting the award, Brian May told the audience: "In this special moment, I contemplate how that younger Brian May in 1974 would have felt if he knew that we would be living this kind of dream 50 years in the future." Reflecting on Queen's origins, Roger Taylor said: "When we started our band... we had ambitions, but never dreamed of the journey that was to follow. We were fortunate in the fact that our four wildly different personalities came together to achieve a wonderful chemistry." And, speaking about the uniqueness of the Polar Music Prize, Brian continued: "The Polar Music Prize is exceptional in the fact that, unlike other awards, it recognises the entirety of an artist's career. What an honour to be included in the glittering cavalcade of previous laureates." The evening celebration featured live performances honouring Queen and other recipients, including rock group Ghost who covered Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody with Opeth's Fredrik Akesson on guitar. Adam Lambert, Queen's contemporary frontman, then captivated the crowd with renditions of classic hits Who Wants to Live Forever and Another One Bites the Dust.
