Caleb Williams stuns NFL fans with dazzling performance for the Chicago Bears against the Buffalo Bills

Caleb Williams impressed NFL fans so much on Sunday night that some have tipped the Chicago Bears to win the Super Bowl. Williams, 23, was drafted No. 1 overall last year but had a rookie season to forget as the Bears fired head coach Matt Eberflus and eventually finished with a 5-12 record. But Chicago is now full of hope going into the new season after the franchise won the race to sign in-demand Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as their new head coach. Johnson's arrival has led to hope that Williams can also improve and, eventually, take the team to their first Super Bowl since 2007. And the early signs look positive as the former USC signal caller played his first snaps of preseason against the Buffalo Bills at Soldier Field on Sunday night. In fact, Williams destroyed the Bills defense on the Bears' opening drive of the game and threw a touchdown pass. Williams led the Bears 92 yards downfield before capping off the drive with a 36-yard touchdown pass to receiver Olamide Zaccheaus. He completed five of six passes. His performance had NFL fans, mostly supporting the Bears, salivating on social media. One commented: 'Say what you want about preseason this or that... that drive from Caleb Williams was exactly what we had to see'. Another posted: 'Preseason or not... what an opening drive for Caleb Williams under the new leadership and coaching staff of the Ben Johnson era!!! Wow.' A third boldly proclaimed Williams is 'the greatest quarterback of all time' while another tipped him to be '2025 MVP and Super Bowl winner'. A more composed viewer posted: 'Caleb Williams threw some absolute lasers on that first drive.' 'Could not have asked for a better start from Caleb Williams & the Bears,' one impressed viewer commented. More to follow.
