Apple and Samsung rivalling phones, earbuds and more due at huge July event
OnePlus has confirmed it will host a bumper launch event on July 8, where it will announce five new products, covering phones, headphones, wearables and tablets.
The range of new devices will join the OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R and OnePlus Pad 3 which arrived earlier this year as the Chinese firm fills out its product offering to compete against Apple, Samsung and co.

Here's what we know so far on the five new OnePlus devices arriving on July 8.
1. OnePlus Nord 5
The OnePlus Nord 5 is the next generation of the firm's mid-range offering, and it will pack a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. OnePlus claims this will make the handset a gaming powerhouse, with the ability to run Call of Duty at 144 fps.
The Nord 5 will also borrow the graphene thermal cooling smarts from the flagship OnePlus 13, which should help keep temperatures in check during intense gaming sessions.
Looking at the image shared by OnePlus of the new products (above) the Nord 5 is on the left and seems to have a dual camera setup and sizable flash on its rear. For those of you wondering, the light blue color is called 'Dry Ice'.
It'll likely be competing with the Samsung Galaxy A56 and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, two very good mid-range smartphones which will force OnePlus to bring its best to this price point.
The new Nord 5 will replace the OnePlus Nord 4, which impressed us with its all-metal design, excellent screen and long battery life. It appears from the image that OnePlus will be ditching the metal unibody this time around – but we'll have to wait for the July 8 launch to find out for sure.
2. OnePlus Nord CE5
Less has been revealed about the Nord CE5, but it's the right of the two phones in the image above, finished in what OnePlus calls its 'Marble Mist' colorway and with what appears to be two rear cameras.
It also appears to have a similar design to the Nord 5, but we'd expect the Nord CE5 to arrive with a downgraded chipset, less sharp screen, and a smaller battery.
3. OnePlus Buds 4
OnePlus' Buds series are its answer to the Apple AirPods, and they bear more than just a passing resemblance to the iconic earbuds – a design trend which seems set to continue going by the product shot above.
The OnePlus Buds 4 will offer dual drivers, dual DACs, Hi-Res LHDC 5.0 and 3D Audio, along with 47ms ultra-low latency in Game Mode. That's a significant improvement over the OnePlus Buds 3 which had an audio latency of 94ms. They'll be available in two colors – Zen Green and Storm Gray.
4. OnePlus Watch 3 (43mm)
We crowned the original OnePlus Watch 3 the best Android smartwatch when we reviewed it earlier this year, and while there was little to fault at the time, something which did frustrate was the single size option.
OnePlus has heard the feedback from the community, and will introduce us to the smaller, 43mm bodied OnePlus Watch 3 variant on July 8.
We expect it to have much of the same features as its larger, 47mm sibling, with the screen and battery the core aspects in line for shrinkage here.
This is good news for anyone with slender wrists looking for a top smartwatch to pair with their Android smartphone, however it's not quite as small as the 40mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 or the 41mm Google Pixel Watch 3.
5. OnePlus Pad 3 Lite
Rounding out the OnePlus summer launch event will be a new Android tablet in the form of the OnePlus Pad 3 Lite, a more affordable (and perhaps also smaller) variant of the very good, but very large OnePlus Pad 3.
OnePlus is dubbing this its 'entry-level tablet' which hopefully bodes well for the price when it's revealed next month, and we're told it'll be available in 'Aero Blue' in Europe – which suggests more colors may be available in other regions.
While we currently don't know which, if any, of the new products will arrive in the US, we'll have all the information for you come July 8.

Your watch will also send your reminders to encourage to you follow the optimal routine for your bedtime. Vascular Load The new Galaxy Watch will measure your vascular load – the stress on your vascular system – while you're sleeping. Being able to track the stress on your system while asleep with allow your Galaxy Watch to monitor heart health. When asleep, stress on your vascular system should decrease as your body rests, but if it doesn't it could be a sign you need to see a medical professional. Samsung says this data can be analyzed alongside other metrics collected by the watch, to help create and maintain positive habits for a healthier lifestyle. Running Coach The new Running Coach feature sounds a little bit like Apple's Workout Buddy it announced for watchOS 26 at WWDC 2025 just last week. Samsung's implementation, as the name suggests, is focused on running (where as Apple's version covers a wider set of workouts). It'll provide you with encouragement and motivation to get running and hit your goals, To get started, you'll need to go for a 12 minute run wearing your Galaxy Watch. From that short session, the system will give you a running level between one and 10. From there, Samsung says your watch will be able to deliver detailed training plans – such as training for a 5K, 10K, half marathon or full marathon. You'll be set a series of challenges to help hit your end goal, unlocking the next challenge on the competition of the previous one. Running Coach will be able to provide your with intense, yet injury-preventive training, which could be a great feature of beginners. Antioxidant Index And finally, the last new feature in Samsung's teaser announcement is Antioxidant Index. The new Galaxy Watch will be able to measure carotenoids (antioxidants found in green and orange vegetables and fruits) in your skin, using a light-activated BioActive sensor. Antioxidants can help promote healthy aging, as they neutralize harmful 'free radicals' which can build up from specific lifestyle choices, such as smoking, drinking alcohol, sun bathing and a lack of sleep. By being able to monitor your antioxidant levels, you'll be able to make changes to your lifestyle to improve or maintain your index reading. Will my current Galaxy Watch get the new features? Looking at the small print of Samsung's post, it all depends on which Galaxy Watch you own. If you have the high-end Galaxy Watch Ultra it looks like you'll be treated to all the new features, while Galaxy Watch 7 users will get access to the Running Coach. You'll need the 'later released Galaxy Watch Series', or the Galaxy Watch Ultra, if you want to take advantage of the Vascular Load and Antioxidant Index features. For existing Watch owners, supported new features will arrive via the One UI 8 Watch software update. When will the Galaxy Watch 8 launch? Reports currently suggest the Galaxy Watch 8 will be revealed alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, with rumors pointing towards a possible July launch event. This would make sense, as the Z Fold 6, Flip 6 and Galaxy Watch 7 were launching on July 10, 2024, and we regularly see manufacturers repeat annual launch cycles. Samsung has already been teasing the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and with the Galaxy Watch 8 teasers now appearing, all signs point to an imminent launch.

The Trump Organization is debuting a cellular phone service called T1 Phone at $47.45 a month
What U.S. protests, Trump's parade and Mideast strikes say about global instability The Trump Organization announced it is starting a cellular phone service called T1 Phone by Trump Mobile that will charge $47.45 a month and include unlimited calls, text and data. It also plans to roll out a new $499 phone that will be built in the U.S. The new service was designed to coincide with the 10-year anniversary of President Trump's announcement of his first presidential run, the Trump Organization said in a Monday statement. The company said its mobile phone plan, which it dubbed the 47 Plan in a nod to Mr. Trump's current rank as the 47th U.S. president, won't require a contract or a credit check. In an interview on Fox News Business, Eric Trump — Mr. Trump's son and the executive vice president of the Trump Organization — said the new phone and service will align with his father's policy plans to boost American manufacturing and employment. "We want to have customer service by Americans for Americans," Eric Trump said in the Monday interview. "We want to have phones built by Americans, for Americans, and, you know, and we want to do it better than anybody. We're going to disrupt the space." The new mobile phone and service takes direct aim at phone manufacturers such as Apple, which has faced pressure from Mr. Trump to shift its manufacturing from China and India to the U.S. Last month, the president threatened to impose a 25% tariff on Apple products if the computer giant didn't reshore some of its manufacturing. If Apple were to build its iPhones in the U.S., they would cost about $3,500 each, more than triple their current retail price of about $1,000, because of the higher cost of manufacturing in the U.S., Wedbush analyst Dan Ives has said. The Trump Organization says the T1 Phone, pictured above, will cost $499. Ethics issues raised The new Trump phone and cellular service raise a host of ethics issues, said Robert Weissman, the co-president of Public Citizen, a consumer rights advocacy group. Rival phone companies and manufacturers could face a dilemma if they have a cheaper phone or service, he noted. "Will they be intimidated to advertise that?" he pointed out. And if the phone is made with foreign-made parts, it raises issues about whether the company could get a break on the Trump administration's tariffs. "It threatens to be a real distortion of the economy around the Trump brand," he said. "My message to hard-working Americans is to slam down the phone in the face of this marketing ploy." What does Trump Mobile phone plan include? The Trump Mobile plan will "revolutionize cell phones, mobile calling," Eric Trump told Fox Business. "It's going to be cheaper, 47 bucks a month. You're going to have more internet. More international dialing for free, hundreds of countries. International dialing for free. It is the biggest bang for the buck," he added. The plan will include free calls to more than 100 countries, including those with U.S. military bases. People with the plan will also have access to 24/7 roadside assistance through Drive America, as well as telehealth services, the company said. The Trump Organization added that it will debut a T1 Phone in August that will cost $499. An image of the phone depicts a gold-colored device emblazoned with the phrase, "Make America Great Again." The device, which will have a fingerprint sensor and the ability to unlock using face recognition, will include 256 gigabytes of internal storage and 12gb of RAM. "I think we're going to really shake up the space in a very big way, both in terms of the actual hardware of the films and then obviously e-sim cards, and then just what you get for a plan per month," Eric Trump added.

By Nintendo Co. didn't take any wild swings with the new Switch 2. The gaming console offers faster performance, improved graphics and a larger display, but considering the original came out in 2017, this isn't a major departure from the previous model that some may have hoped for. Not that the core premise needed much changing. Like the original, the Switch 2 is a hybrid console that can be taken on the go and used in handheld mode, making it a godsend to commuters and frequent fliers. Or you can drop it into the included dock and lose track of time playing Cyberpunk 2077 on your TV at home.
