He said: 'There's negativity around Arne and some of these guys. 'His attitude is great and his quality and general workrate was great. 'Arne is a boy who gives everything. 'There's a lot on his shoulders as an expensive player - but we bought potential. 'The club has bought potential many times and a lot of them aren't here. 'This is a guy who has potential but it cost a little bit more. 'You have to pay that little bit more because if you're going to be sat away in Bayern Munich and watching the team play and he has that athleticism, then that's what you need because it costs you money. 'He's nowhere near the finished article. We've just had to pay more for potential. 'You can buy potential at a million quid and two million quid - and a lot of the time, it doesn't work. Celtic hero Neil Lennon spotted singing and dancing to Oasis song at Murrayfield gig 'Sometimes it does…I will tell you a lot of the time it doesn't. 'But with Arne, we've had to pay a little bit more to get the athleticism and the physicality that this team needed. 'Now I have great options there, so I don't complain.' Rodgers can still add two wildcards to his Champions League play-off squad. Asked if it was a possibility, he said: 'Hopefully. That would be great. 'We have named the squad but we can change it right up until the game. 'That would be really good if we can.' Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

On chatter surrounding the several coaches that she has worked with down the years, Raducanu said: "When you see things like: 'Oh, Emma on her ninth coach', I'm like: 'Guys, come on.' Certain ones don't count. "If you've had a trial, you don't have to carry on after the trial. A few have been trials, a few have been other situations. "I just try and take the high road. And try to do what the royal family would do.'
