Bangladesh MHM School & College has announced its excellent achievement in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination 2025, conducted under the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka. The school attained a remarkable overall pass rate of 84%, significantly surpassing the Dhaka board's average pass percentage of 67.51%.
Out of 94 students who appeared in the examination, 68 successfully passed, and an impressive 14 students achieved brilliant results of GPA-5, including 13 from the Science group and 1 from the Business Studies group. Among these, 6 students earned the highly prestigious Golden GPA-5. Additionally, 16 students secured GPA 4 and above, which reflects the school's teachers and parent's relentless dedication and team works for this grand success.
Expressing his heartfelt congratulations, Lt. Cdr. Md. Anwar Khurshid (Retd), MBA, director of Bangladesh MHM School & College, praised the dedication and perseverance of the students, particularly the GPA-5 achievers and all other successful candidates. He also expressed sincere appreciation to the hardworking teachers, parents, and devoted administrative staffs whose combined efforts made this success possible.
He further acknowledged the unwavering guidance and support of Ambassador of Bangladesh to Qatar and Chairman of the institution, H.E. Md. Nazrul Islam, who played a pivotal role in achieving these remarkable results. Islam expressed his satisfaction over the excellent performance of the Golden GPA-5 and GPA-5 achievers, along with the high overall pass percentage. ATM Asadusjaman, acting principal, also extended warm congratulations to the students and teachers for their dedication and expressed optimism for continued academic success in future examinations.

NCSA's Cybersecurity Curriculum Project wins WSIS 2025 Award

Tribune News Network Doha The Cybersecurity Curriculum Project of the National Cyber Security Agency, has won the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2025 Prize in the category 'ALC10: Ethical Dimensions of the Information Society'. The award was received on Monday by Abdulla Al Sayed, advisor to the President of the National Cyber Security Agency, during the official ceremony held in Geneva, Switzerland. On this occasion, Al Sayed, emphasized that winning the first place is the result of the agency's continuous and dedicated efforts to enhance individual cyber capabilities and strengthen the stability of cyberspace across all segments of society. He added 'Through the Cybersecurity Curriculum Project, we aim to build a cyber safe society where all members possess the awareness needed to encounter future challenges that accompany the rapid technological advancement, positioning Qatar as a global leader in the cybersecurity landscape.' He extended his sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Education & Higher Education and the entire team behind the Cybersecurity Curriculum Project. Dalal Al Aqeedi, assistant director of Cyber Security Strategies & Policies Department at the National Cyber Security Agency, stated that this global award marks a significant achievement. The project passed through various competitive stages, alongside five other global projects, receiving more than 15000 votes. During the 2024-2025 academic year, the Cybersecurity Curriculum Project was implemented in 214 government school, 178 private school, 39 community school, 2 schools for students with special needs and 500 parents. The project included delivering cybersecurity awareness content to more than 280,000 student and delivering training workshops for 353 teachers. The project has also achieved significant outcomes, including fundamentals of safe browsing, personal data protection, online risks and malware, digital safety and cybersecurity fundamentals, as well as general awareness on the negative digital behaviours such as internet addiction. The Cybersecurity Curriculum Project has earned several recognitions, including the Cybersecurity Education Excellence Award from the Swiss Cybersecurity Institute. It was also featured in the UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report, and recognized during the International Day for Education under HundrED Institute. The project is designed to achieve a set of objectives, including raising awareness among the general public, especially children and youths, about the concept of digital citizenship, which entails the responsible, ethical, and safe use of Information & Communication Technology.

QF's Herfah programme to offer traditional crafts experiences

Tribune News Network Doha Following a successful inaugural year that brought together over 200 participants in a celebration and exploration of Qatari artistry and Islamic crafts, the Herfah programme – a collaboration between Qatar Foundation and The King's Foundation School of Traditional Arts – will launch its second year in September 2025. The immersive, year-long programme will run from 8am to 2pm every Sunday to Thursday from September 2025 to May 2026, at the historic Al Khater House in Education City. Submissions will be open from July 8 to August 8, and interested candidates can apply and find more information at Herfah's full-time curriculum is organised into three comprehensive terms, with Term 1, held from September to December across 13 weeks, beginning with six weeks of Foundational Modules in Islamic Geometry, Nabati Ornamentation, Drawing for Designers, and Traditional Painting, followed by seven weeks of focused Craft Modules. Term 2, to be held from January to March 2026 for nine weeks, will incorporate two additional weeks of foundational studies, followed by in-depth exploration of traditional crafts such as Ceramics, Woodwork, Textiles, Gypsum Carving, and Decorative Painting. Term 3, taking place across nine weeks from April to May 2026, will be dedicated to final projects that combine the skills and knowledge participants have acquired throughout the year. Interested candidates must be 18 years or older and have prior experience in crafts. They must also complete an online registration form by submitting a personal statement and an assignment titled 'Inspired by Tradition', and include a portfolio showcasing previous creative work – which is optional, but encouraged. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews, with final selections announced by end of August 2025. In addition to its core year-long programme, Herfah will continue offering short-term courses and Ramadan workshops, fostering a dynamic, creative, and inclusive space for community learning at Al Khater House.
