Salman Khan's Brother-In-Law Aayush Sharma Undergoes Two Back Surgeries, Shares Pics
Last Updated:
Sanjay Dutt is all set to star alongside Aayush Sharma for the very first time in a film titled My Punjabi Nikaah. The film is being directed by Sohail Khan
Aayush Sharma, the husband of Arpita Khan Sharma and Salman Khan's brother‑in‑law, shared an update about his health. He revealed that he underwent two back surgeries following a prolonged period of pain that was ignored during filming. In an Instagram post, Sharma admitted that brushing off the discomfort was his 'biggest mistake"
The actor also shared photos and wrote, 'Life has its way of slowing you down to make sure you listen. For the last couple of years, I had been experiencing consistent pain in my back it started while pulling off a stunt during the action scene in Ruslaan — nothing too dramatic, so I did what most of us tend to do… ignored it, masked it, and kept going. It finally caught up with me while shooting for my current movie, and things took a turn. Movements that once felt like second nature — dancing, stunts, even the simplest stretches — became restricted. What I thought was temporary turned out to be far more serious. The biggest mistake? Taking the pain lightly and hoping it would heal on its own." Fans also wished him speedy recovery.
Sanjay Dutt is all set to star alongside Aayush Sharma for the very first time in a film titled My Punjabi Nikaah. The film is being directed by Sohail Khan, who shared the exciting news through his social media account. Fans are thrilled about this fresh pairing and are already looking forward to what's in store for them.
According to sources close to the development of the film, My Punjabi Nikaah won't focus on the usual high-octane drama with which both the actors are often associated. Instead, the upcoming Sohail Khan movie will be a comedy filled with laughter and lighthearted moments. An insider quoted by Moneycontrol said, 'Sohail Khan is excited to bring together Aayush Sharma and Sanjay Dutt in a narrative that will be a fresh experience on the big screens."
Following his fierce role in the action thriller Ruslaan, Aayush will be seen portraying a completely new character, very different from anything he has done before. The upcoming project could be a big step in the actor's career and help him show his acting versatility. As for Sanjay Dutt's role, nothing has been confirmed yet. Besides the duo, the comedy caper will also feature Annu Kapoor and a new actress.
Just a week back, Sohail Khan took to his Instagram account and announced his directorial My Punjabi Nikaah. His post featured pictures with the Governor Of Punjab, Gulab Chand Kataria, the Chief Minister Of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini and the Chief Minister Of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann. Through his post, Sohail informed fans that all three politicians gave a green signal for the shooting schedule of his film in Punjab and Haryana.

VIDEO: MS Dhoni refuses to eat birthday cake at his friend's house for THIS reason and stands quietly at the back
When a phone-camera video from a modest Ranchi living room surfaced on June 22, it rocketed across social media within hours. The clip captured Mahendra Singh Dhoni, one of the more private sporting icon in India, quietly attending long-time friend and tennis coach Surender Kumar's birthday gathering. Standing at the back while guests belted out the lyrics to 'Happy Birthday,' Dhoni blended into the chorus until the cake advanced in his direction. MS Dhoni: 'Feed Kaki first' The video was shared on the Instagram page of the cricketer's friend, Surender Kumar (a.k.a. ' Kaka '). In it, the host attempts to feed the second slice of cake to Dhoni, who quickly grinned and rejected the piece as he pointed to the host's wife. He then quipped in Hindi, 'Feed your wife first; you live here, I'll be gone soon..' The room immediately cracked up. The light joke doubled as etiquette advice, and Dhoni slipped back into the crowd. After being fed a piece by 'Kaki,' he once again offers a piece to Dhoni. However, Dhoni quickly stopped him, suggesting the children be fed instead. Only after the two youngsters were served did he finally accept a bite. The exchange lasted under a minute, yet users labelled it 'classic MSD,' praising the 43-year-old's restraint and social awareness. Viral numbers and genuine tears Kumar had posted the reel with the caption 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAKA SIR. THANK YOU SO MUCH MAHI SIR' with a cake emoji and hearts. The video quickly garnered attention, and amassed over 14,000 likes. A later video of events from the same day depicted Dhoni feeding Kumar as well. Within 48 hours the upload had drawn more than 600,000 views and 60,000 likes. As fans spotted Kumar wiping his eyes as Dhoni offered him cake, they realized just how personal the visit was. Replies ranged from 'Luckiest man alive' to 'That's why we love him… simplicity and down to earth….my captain!' Dhoni's pattern of private gestures The Free Press Journal notes this is as the second consecutive year Dhoni has turned up for the same friend's celebration, slipping in without PR staff or photographers. Away from public stadiums, the former India captain routinely shuns big parties. When he does venture out, he leaves with minimal fuss, drivers idling no longer than necessary. The birthday detour came a month after Chennai Super Kings' forgettable IPL campaign, where Dhoni collected 196 runs at 24.50 and CSK finished last. Results, however, have little effect on his aura. Fresh off his ICC Hall of Fame induction, Dhoni's real legacy seems to be the ease with which he trades global stardom for small-town courtesy. He proves yet again that charisma can look a lot like good manners.

How Zohran Mamdani used pop culture to make politics personal for South Asians in New York
When Zohran Mamdani launched his campaign for mayor of New York City, he didn't just knock on doors or shake hands at community centers — he spoke directly to the city's massive South Asian population through a language they understood deeply: Bollywood. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The 33-year-old democratic socialist, now poised to become the Democratic nominee after defeating political heavyweight Andrew Cuomo in a surprise primary upset, used film dialogues, iconic songs, and multilingual videos to connect with immigrant voters who rarely hear their cultures reflected in American politics. And it worked — spectacularly. Credit: Instagram/ Zohran Mamdani Politics meets pop culture Almost 3 weeks ago, Mamdani posted a video on his social media account where he could be heard appealing to the voters to vote for him in this election. This was not your average promotional video, it was filled with Bollywood pop culture and desi moments. While the video starts with a close up of Mamdani explaining how there is less than 20 days left to the elections- however soon he turns to bollywood reference to put his case forward. The video bursts with iconic moments from classic and modern Bollywood films. There's Deewar, with Amitabh Bachchan's unforgettable 'Aaj mere paas buildingein hain…' line — followed by Mamdani responding, arms wide like Shah Rukh Khan, 'aap'.There's Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, and there's even Apna Time Aayega, cheekily flipped into "Aapka Time Aagaya." But this isn't just nostalgia bait — it's smart politics. Mamdani used these references to explain real policy and voter strategy. He walked viewers through New York's ranked-choice voting system using none other than mango lassi as props — five cups, one for each ranking. It was quirky, charming, and instantly shareable. The language? A fluent blend of Hindi and Urdu. Deep roots, real connections Mamdani's outreach wasn't just performative — it was personal. Born in Uganda and raised in New York City from age seven, he's no stranger to blending cultures. His mother, filmmaker , made some of the most loved South Asian diaspora films — Monsoon Wedding, Mississippi Masala, The Namesake — but Mamdani carved his own path. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Before politics, he released music under the name Mr. Cardamom (and previously Young Cardamom), including the single Nani in 2019 featuring cookbook legend Madhur Jaffrey as his grandmother. But by 2015, he was already on the ground organizing, starting out as a campaign volunteer, joining the Democratic Socialists of America in 2017, and working behind the scenes for years. Bollywood as strategy, not sideshow With over 600,000 South Asian Americans living in New York — the second-largest South Asian population in the U.S. — Mamdani's Bollywood strategy was more than clever. It was essential. In neighborhoods like Ozone Park, Richmond Hill, Kensington, and Curry Hill, where Hindi, Punjabi, Bangla, and Urdu are spoken at home, Mamdani's videos made voting feel less like a civic duty and more like a cultural moment.

Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz share 'engagement day' tributes for each other amid Beckham family drama
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are madly, truly and deeply in love with each other. They're letting you know, just in case you missed the brief. The hot sauce connosieur, 26, and the actor, 30, took to their social media handles to share their 'engagement day' tributes for one another, marking 5 years since the day they said yes to marriage (mind you, NOT their literal wedding). Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz share 'engagement day' tributes for each other amid Beckham family drama(Photos: Instagram, X) While Brooklyn's post read, "It's been 5 years since I asked this beautiful woman to marry me xx best decision ever x I love you so much ❤️", Nicola's expressed, "5 years ago we got engaged 🥹🤍 i love living life with you baby - i loveee you so muchhh". This comes amid the worsening Beckham family feud. To catch you up on the drama, the eldest Brooklyn son has in a no-questions-asked gesture (which just keeps reinforcing itself repeatedly) sided with wife Nicola, as the duo weather what appears to be a pretty public fall out between them and the former's parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham. Issues reportedly arose first when Nicola refused to be a Victoria Beckham bride — this was worsened by mum-in-law reportedly hijacking the couple's first dance during their 2022 nuptials, bringing the bride to tears. Though the clan has made several public appearances since, it has come to a complete halt with Brooklyn and Nicola neither attending David's 50th birthday celebrations nor acknowledging his recently bestowed knighthood. Now for the internet at least, there's nothing much 'aww-dorabe' about it. It's just more fodder to call the couple out on their stance against the OG Beckham clan. Comments expressing the sentiment read: "Why do much gush ? You're very happy leave ii there", "He's not only yours. Keeping him away from them isn't fair.", "It's a shame you allowed it to come between you're parents and siblings. Really sad", "Someone who truly loves you wouldn't make you choose between them and your family" and "so your wife can still see her parents and friends but you cant? what kind of man and son are you ?" to quote a few. And the overall general scrutiny of the couple also wasn't lost on the internet, with takes like "Why does she always look like she's more into herself than you?" and "Another picture of him kissing her while she was busy checking herself out😂" also filling up the comment section. Brooklyn and Nicola first met in 2017 at Coachella, though at the time, both were in separate relationships. They reconnected at a Halloween party hosted by Leonardo DiCaprio and started dating soon after. They got engaged within a year, in 2020, eventually tying the knot on April 9, 2022. So, which Beckham are you siding with on this?
