Caitlin Clark nemesis addresses claims she plays 'dirty' in the WNBA
Caitlin Clark nemesis DiJonai Carrington has spoken out on social media bout claims she plays 'dirty', bashing those who feed into the WNBA narrative about her.
The narrative about Carrington reached a fever pitch after Tuesday's game, where her Dallas Wings played the Seattle Storm.
Carrington received a flagrant-1 foul after making excessive contact with Skylar Diggins.
Last week, Carrington screamed in the face of a referee, who pulled a security guard in between the two, a move the guard said was a 'microaggression.' A hard foul against the Minnesota Lynx also took place last month.
'Yall fans swear I'm such a dirty player,' Carrington said on social media. 'I'm SO over this narrative bc if u really know bball, u know I jus play hard asf & never give up on a play. & yup, we challenged the last couple flagrants & got em rescinded bc I'm ALWAYS tryna make a play on the ball nun more, nun less.'
The actions come several months after Carrington, then a member of the Connecticut Sun, poked Clark in the eye during a playoff series against the Indiana Fever.
Carrington said the move was unintentional but later made fun of it on Instagram alongside former Clark teammate and girlfriend NaLyssa Smith, who now also plays for the Wings.
Back in March, Carrington was a guest on Angel Reese's podcast where she talked about the level of criticism she receives.
'They be real loose at the mouth," Carrington said. I know they think it's trolls, but it's not just trolls. It be people that we see in real life.'
Comments on social media for the Wings star go beyond her play on the court.
'I hate when people talk about that, like, "Why do you have blonde hair?" I got black eyebrows. I got black arm hair, black leg hair… and I don't care. I'm still a natural blonde.'
Carrington will have her next chance to change the perception about herself on Friday night when the Wings play the Los Angeles Sparks.

Mauricio Pochettino breaks unwanted record as USA humbled by Switzerland just a year before World Cup begins
MAURICIO POCHETTINO's nightmare start as USMNT boss continued with a thumping loss against Switzerland. The Stars and Stripes trailed 4-0 at HALF-TIME infront of an embarrassed Poch in Tennessee. 4 4 Pochettino 's side have now lost four matches on the bounce since March. The 53-year-old had declared his team had hit "rock bottom" after defeat to Canada in March. But two months on, the USMNT are enduring their worst run of form since 2007. It comes just twelve months before the country hosts the World Cup. Tuesday's humiliating defeat was also the first time since 1980 the US have shipped four goals in one half. Dan Ndoye, Michel Aebischer, Breel Embolo and Johan Manzambi were all on target for the Swiss at a stunned Geodis Park. All four goals arrived in a 23-minute flurry before the break. Pochettino's men are preparing for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which kicks off on June 15. And after making a host of changes, the Argentine admitted he might have tinkered too much. The former Spurs boss said: "First of all, I think it, of course, is our responsibility and my responsibility, the decision of the choice of the starting eleven. USA manager Mauricio Pochettino gives reaction to 2-1 loss to Canada "I think we wanted to give the possibility to the whole roster to have minutes and play for different circumstances and I think that is the risk that we took. "The combination of the starting eleven of the team, wasn't, I think, now after 90 minutes, the best. "We need to say, blame ourselves. Criticise us. Because it was my decision, and that decision didn't work, and when that doesn't work, you need to be critical with yourself." Former Chelsea star Christian Pulisic has made himself unavailable for the upcoming Gold Cup. 4 And the 26-year-old's decision has been slammed by former USA forward Langdon Donovan. After watching Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, in tears after Portugal's Nations League triumph, Donovan said: "This is what it means to represent your country. "And if you don't want to take this, as a professional soccer player and someone who gets the opportunity to wear that jersey and take it seriously and responsibly, then don't come in. "This is what it means. He's [Ronaldo] 40 years old, he played a long-a** season, he's tired, he was out there grinding and hurt himself in the process. "And I can't help but think about some of our [USMNT] guys on vacation right now, not wanting to play in the Gold Cup. It's p***ing me off.'

2025 US Open Prediction, Best Bets & Golf Odds: Expect Strong DeChambeau Defence
US Open Betting Tips Bryson DeChambeau to finish in the top five - 19/10 Betfred Collin Morikawa to finish in the top 20 - 6/5 Bet365 The 125th US Open gets underway at the Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania on Thursday, where all eyes will be on defending champion Bryson DeChambeau, Masters champion Rory McIlroy and world number one Scottie Scheffler. Unsurprisingly, the trio make up three of the top four in the US Open market on betting sites, along with Jon Rahm, who is priced at 13/1 just ahead of McIlroy. Scheffler has won three of his last four tournaments, including a five-shot win at last month's PGA Championship, and is the favourite at 3/1 while DeChambeau, who is looking to become the first player to win successive US Open titles since Brooks Koepka won in 2017 and 2018, is 15/2. This is the 10th time in history that the Oakmont Country Club has hosted the US Open, and the last time was nine years ago when Dustin Johnson picked up the first of his two major titles. The course, which is renowned as being one of the toughest in the US, thanks largely to its hazardous bunkers, has also hosted the US PGA Championship, US Women's Open and US Amateur Championship. Backing DeChambeau to be there or thereabouts doesn't seem like a great risk and backing him at 15/2 is an interesting option, as is the 14/5 on offer for a top three finish with some golf betting sites. He has finished in the top six in the last five American majors and has been first at some point in the week in his last five starts - so could this be the tournament when he finally converts? The reigning champion won't want to give up his title without a fight, but he knows the challenges of trying to defend his crown at the testing Oakmont Country Club. So rather than back DeChambeau for the win, a top five finish at US Open odds of 19/10 is the preference. US Open prediction 1: Bryson DeChambeau to finish in the top five - 19/10 Betfred Morikawa Can Tame Tricky Oakmont Collin Morikawa has only been on the pro tour for six years but he's already accrued seven tour wins, including the 2020 PGA Tour Championship and The Open Championship 11 months later. He is one of four golfers to finish inside the top 15 in the past four US Opens, and he has the second-most top five finishes at majors since the start of 2020 with seven. The 28-year-old also currently ranks second on the PGA Tour in terms of driving accuracy, which could be essential for staying out of the impenetrable rough at Oakmont. US Open Free Bet Offers Golf betting sites are rolling out the offers for the third major of the year and there are several free bet offers available ahead of the action at Oakmont teeing off on Thursday. LiveScore Bet are giving punters a £10 in free bets for wagering on the US Open. Just bet £10 on the US Open before the first shot is played to qualify, but keep in mind the place part of any each-way bets will not count towards the staking requirements. In return, LiveScore Bet will give bettors a £5 free bet to use on any event on the sportsbook and a £5 free bet for the Open Championship. Please gamble responsibly No matter what you are betting on, it's vital to practice responsible gambling. When using gambling sites, be aware that sports betting can be addictive. Please take steps to remain in control of your time and budget. The same applies whether you're using new betting sites, slot sites, casino sites, casino apps, or any other gambling medium. Even the most knowledgeable golf punter can lose a bet, so always stick to a budget and never chase your losses. It's particularly important not to get carried away by any free bets or casino offers you might receive, both of which are available in abundance on gambling sites, but must be approached with caution. You can stay in control by making use of the responsible gambling tools offered, such as deposit limits, loss limits, self-exclusion and time-outs. They had visited New York to pay a visit to Andy's recently opened Aussie-themed Manhattan pub, Old Mates. Tucker, who previously dated ultimate It Girl Emma Chamberlain, performed at the US Governor's Ball this week and kissed fellow singer Conan Gray onstage while performing his viral hit. The singer and former rapper also announced he is cancelling a few upcoming shows to focus on filming Lena Dunham's new Netflix movie, Good Sex. 'I'm so excited to be joining Lena and the Good Sex cast, but as the filming schedule was finalised over the past month, there were some unavoidable conflicts that unfortunately could not be worked around no matter how hard we tried,' Role Model wrote on Instagram. 'That said, I am no longer able to attend Calgary Stampede or join some of the shows on The Secret of Us Deluxe tour.' As a result, Role Model said he would have to drop out of most of Gracie Abrams' shows, where he was scheduled as an opener. 'I am so sorry to anyone disappointed by this but the GOOD news is, you'll get to experience the incredible Djo, [Griff], and of course [Abrams] live and for that I'm jealous,' he said. 'I promise to make the shows we DO have together memorable and thank you always for your understanding. See you soon.' He will still be joining Gracie for her upcoming shows at New York City's Madison Square Garden and Mexico City's Pesis Center, however. Tucker will star alongside Natalie Portman and Mark Ruffalo in Good Sex, which follows 40-year-old couples' therapist Ally (Portman) who is getting back into the dating scene in New York.
