Exclusive - Vaidehi Nair on quitting Jaadu Teri Nazar; says ‘There was nothing left for me to do in the show'
'The reason I left the show was because the character that was told to me never got built up,' she shared candidly. 'I've been working since the age of 12. I'm 18 now, and although I've played parallel leads before, I've never worked in a role where there was just nothing for me to do. I did not feel good about it.'
Vaidehi clarified that her exit was not due to any issues with the team. 'The production and direction teams were very good and supportive.
But sometimes, maybe due to TRPs or storyline changes, characters don't get developed as expected.'
Talking about her role, she said, 'I was playing Sandhya, the sister of the lead. Her character was very restricted. That was the mindset of her family. But beyond that, there was no depth or direction to her story.'
She further added, 'I was working 26–27 days a month, and still, the story I was narrated was never explored.
