Charlie Silver, who works as cabin crew for TUI, gave viewers a closer look at the cozy sleeping quarters in a TikTok video recently uploaded to her account, @silvercharlie. In the clip, captioned 'Sleeping at 40,000ft in the sky,' the UK-based flight attendant revealed cabin crew are able to doze off in specifically formulated bunk beds located above the main cabin. The hidden beds, often referred to as crew rest compartments, provide a dedicated space for rest during long-haul flights, ensuring crew members are refreshed and energised for their duties. They're usually designed with multiple bunks, stacked vertically, to accommodate several crew members and pilots simultaneously, though they normally take turns rotating. In the clip, Charlie can seen climbing into the bunk and demonstrating how she gets ready for a much-needed snooze.
