LIV Golf coming to SA
Mzansi is set to host a LIV Golf tournament in 2026.
South Africa has been confirmed as one of six consecutive overseas events to kick off the LIV Golf season, with the exact venue yet to be announced.
It's a big win for the all-South African Stinger's GC team that features stars like Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel, Dean Burmester, and Branden Grace.
The quartet has consistently expressed their desire for LIV Golf to make a stop in their home country, and their efforts have now come to fruition.
The tournament is tentatively scheduled for 20 to 22 March 2026.

Orlando Pirates ban Orbit College stars, including Saleng!
Monnapule Saleng will NOT feature whenever Orbit College come up against Orlando Pirates this season. This is because of a clause Pirates inserted when striking a season-long loan deal with Orbit College. And it's NOT only Saleng who will be affected by the said clause but Thuso Moleleki and Yanga Madiba as well. The three players were deemed surplus to requirements by Pirates this season, but Orbit came to the fore to sign them. Orbit College are scheduled to face Pirates in the league on 26 August at Orlando Stadium. The return fixture is penciled for 23 May 2026 at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg. Nonetheless, there is still a possibility of two teams playing each other in both the Carling Knockout Cup and Nedbank Cup. Orlando Pirates star Monnapule Saleng. Image. X/OrlandoPirates 'He won't be able to play. Him, (Thuso) Moleleki and (Yanga) Madiba, so it's not only Saleng,' Orbit head coach Pogiso Makhoye confirmed on 947's MSW . I wasn't really close to joining Chiefs, says new Sundowns star
Newly-signed Mamelodi Sundowns star Fawaaz Basadien has revealed that he was never close to joining Kaizer Chiefs. Basadien was a top performer for Stellenbosch FC last season, and speculation around his future was rife. Chiefs were, at some point, reported to be closing in on Basadien but the Bafana Bafana defender has stated otherwise. Basadien was speaking to Robert Marawa on MSW on 947 where he revealed that he always wanted to join Sundowns. Nonetheless, the left-footed player admitted that there were behind-the-scene talks for him to move to Chiefs but nothing came out of those. 'There was, obviously, a lot of interest, talks and everything but my main focus… my main decision was to join Sundowns. 'So, that was my main.' Ruchè Moodley heads back to Spain after second crash of season
Ruche Moodley is the sole South African racer currently competing in the Moto3 world championship. The 18-year-old missed round six of the 2025 schedule as he was recovering from a crash in which he fractured the radius in his right arm. Around six weeks ago, South African Moto3 rider Ruchè Moodley suffered his second crash of the season, only this time it was more gruesome to watch, especially if you're a family member or close associate. The teenager went down in the opening lap and was hit by riders behind him, suffering a fractured shoulder and hurting his right hand again. Social media posts from his hospital bed in Barcelona was a way of communicating with the public for a while but then the Red Bull Born Racers on Moodley dropped. For the first time, the world of Moto3 got an insight into his life and also heard from Moodley and parents about a horrific crash when he was 11. He crashed into a tree at high speed and sustained extensive injuries. His mother Chanelle and father Arushen were highly emotional when asked to recall the events surrounding that crash. One can only assume that similar thoughts and feelings went through them this year after watching their son crash out twice with injuries. The teenager has showed no signs of slowing down though, and two days ago, announced on social media that he was unofficially back in training. "Enjoying the process, getting ready for the rest of the season. The work doesn't stop!" Moodley wrote two days ago from his home province in the Eastern cape.
