Evanlison made contact with the defender's shin after losing control.
But referee Peter Bankes still deemed it a red card offence, despite the tackle not being intentional nor malicious.
Bournemouth appealed the decision and have been successful, with Evanlison's three-match ban overturned by the FA.

Gary Neville makes underwhelming prediction for Man Utd's season after £200million transfer spree

Neville also gave his verdict on one factor that could help Man Utd's fortunes this season nev-er mind Gary Neville makes underwhelming prediction for Man Utd's season after £200million transfer spree GARY Neville believes Manchester United MUST buy a new goalkeeper to have ANY chance of a top six finish. Sky Sports pundit Neville won eight Prem crowns as Old Trafford's starting right-back under Sir Alex Ferguson. But Neville, 50, is dismissive of United's prospects of coming close to the top of the tree this term. And he suggested that even earning Champions League football was out of the equation unless Ruben Amorim can land a new No 1. Neville said: 'For United, the top six would be healthy. 'We've gone past the point now where we say Manchester United have to win the league. That's unrealistic. 'But without Europe, they could get into the top six if they have a good run, if they get a goalkeeper. But a lot of things have to go their way.' Neville, whose criticisms of United last term grew increasingly strident as the club plunged to its worst top flight finish in half a century, feels the summer spending at the front end has made a difference. United, being linked with PSG gloveman Gianluigi Donnarumma - who is determined to quit the European champions - have splashed out £200m to land Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and now Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko. Speaking at the Sky Sports season launch, Neville added: 'If you said to me after that Europa League Final defeat to Spurs that Manchester United would have a forward line of those three that they've signed, I'd take that, I'd have snapped your hand off. Gary Neville names four Man Utd stars who must leave this summer 'I didn't think they had £200 million to spend. Advertisement 'So the fact they've signed those three players is good. 'I like the profile of those players, whether they settle in now is obviously the big question. 'Two of them are proven Premier League players, although they've got to step up a level. 'Mbeumo is quite solid, he's robust, he's played at Premier League level. He's young, he's got potential but can he get off to a good start? That's important for him.' Advertisement He added: 'Can they embed themselves at United? Can they get the probably 35-40 goals which would be par for those three players? 'If they can get 40 goals - and United's goals total last season was terrible - they've got chance of getting into that top six. 'But they've got to settle those three players, and we can't take that for granted anymore at United, I don't think. 'United will be looking at Champions League, that'll be the ambition. Advertisement 'Not playing in Europe has to help, because there's basically more training time, less pressure on the players, less injuries. 'It means that the best players can play more often in the league, and not have those demands of a Thursday night game. 'But we've got to start the season well - and there are some tough fixtures early on.' Sky Sports and NOW will broadcast over 215 Premier League matches exclusively live this season

Roy Keane won't be exposed to hostility while on pundit duty

SKY SPORTS WILL take steps to ensure Roy Keane does not have to face hostile fans at Premier League matches. A 43-year-old Arsenal fan was convicted of headbutting Keane at a match at the Emirates Stadium in 2023, while the former Manchester United midfielder clashed with Ipswich supporters at Portman Road last season. Advertisement But Keane, 54, has renewed his contract as a pundit with the broadcaster and will be at Old Trafford for United's opening game of the season against Arsenal on Sunday. Sky's chief sports officer Jonathan Licht said: 'It's our responsibility to make sure we don't expose any of our team to those sorts of incidents. 'He loves being part of the big games and we hope that will continue long into this deal. 'Keane will once again form part of Sky's Premier League coverage this season along with the likes of Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.' 'Roy is a great guy, you want him on your team,' added Gary Hughes, director of football at Sky Sports. 'He's had a few incidents in the last couple of seasons, with Arsenal and Ipswich, and it does affect him. 'But ultimately he wants to be involved in the biggest games. He wants to be at Old Trafford for Manchester United against Arsenal.'

Man Utd star has already had ‘b*****king' reveals Tom Heaton as Amorim's new six-man leadership group get to work

One star is reportedly fuming about being left out of the group IN THE HEAT Man Utd star has already had 'b*****king' reveals Tom Heaton as Amorim's new six-man leadership group get to work ONE unlucky Manchester United star has already had a "b****cking" from Ruben Amorim's lieutenant Tom Heaton. Third choice goalkeeper Heaton has been a shock inclusion in Amorim's new six-man leadership group at Old Trafford. Heaton, Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire are the three players part of the old United leadership group who are in the new one. The latest additions to the sextet are Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez and 2024 signing Noussair Mazraoui. When asked if he'd already dished out some telling-offs, Heaton told Manchester Evening News: "Yes, but only naturally. "I think it's also about supporting people who need it, trying to make sure we're guiding it and channelling it in the right way." When revealing his new committee during United's pre-season tour of America, Amorim said: "They are responsible for the group. "There are some things that in the last year I had to deal with. I said to them this year, you deal with that. Small issues are with you guys. Advertisement BEST ONLINE CASINOS - TOP SITES IN THE UK "You are responsible. All these small changes, I think it's helping the group." The group is a diverse mix of three players in their thirties and three in their twenties, representing four countries across three continents. Joining under Sir Alex Ferguson in 2005, Heaton has spent 14 years with United through two different stints and rejoined his boyhood club in 2021. "It provides a little bit of support to Bruno in that respect. That's how it came about and obviously honoured as ever to be part of that and try and have as much influence on it as I possibly can." An insider told SunSport that as the club's longest serving player Luke Shaw was extremely frustrated about being left out of the committee. Advertisement However, only one of the leadership group is a nailed on starter to face Arsenal in their Prem opener on Sunday - skipper Fernandes. No.2 goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is set to start in goal as Andre Onana nurses himself back to full fitness from a hamstring injury picked up in training. Dalot is no longer a certain starter, with Amad Diallo the favoured option on the right wing to feed off summer signing Bryan Mbeumo. And it's a mix-up in defence with Maguire and Matthijs De Ligt battling for a place to start next to 19-year-old Leny Yoro at centre-back, with Mazraoui still sidelined with a knee problem.
