Edwin Siu joins 8TV's "Family Singing Show" as a judge
9 Jun - Two months after joking about needing to work more in order to feed his newborn son, it was revealed that Edwin Siu is joining the team of Malaysia's 8TV show, "Family Singing Show 6".
The TVB artiste, who made his debut in showbiz after winning a singing competition in 2001, will appear on the show as a judge, bringing sincere encouragement and comments to the participating families, and also injecting more vitality and highlights into the show.
Speaking about his judging stint, Edwin said, "Usually when I come to Malaysia, I am the one who sings for everyone. This time it is my turn to sit down and listen to my Malaysian friends singing, because I know that many people here sing very well!"
As for what he would emphasise on when it comes to judging, Edwin said, "Of course singing must be good, but tacit understanding is also important. I will pay attention to their cooperation. Whether they can interact naturally and cooperatively on stage are also crucial."
He also mentioned that he hopes to be inspired by the performances of parent-child groups in the programme, and have the opportunity to form a father-son duo with his son to perform on stage together in the future.
The show has already completed the first round of recording and will officially air on 8TV in early July.

Sonos Arc Ultra Delivers Bigger Bass And Clearer Dialogue In A Slimmer Design
Sonos Arc Ultra Sonos recently launched the Arc Ultra in India. It is slimmer, bassier, and just $100 more expensive than the original Arc soundbar. Those first two qualities don't usually go together, but Sonos has managed to pack deeper bass into a sleeker body. The result? A more elegant design that doesn't compromise on sound quality. The Arc Ultra also adds new features like speech enhancement and a new Sound Motion technology. If you're in the market for a high-end soundbar, here's what you need to know about Sonos' flagship Arc Ultra. The Sonos Arc Ultra is smaller than its predecessor and looks classier under the TV. It measures 2.95 inches high, 46.38 inches wide, and 4.35 inches deep. You can place it on a console or mount it, though the wall mount is sold separately for $79. The slimmer design looks better in modern living rooms. It comes in classic Sonos Black and White color options. Sonos claims a 9.1.4-channel experience from the Arc Ultra's 14 drivers: nine horizontal audio channels, one subwoofer, and four up-firing channels for a truly immersive experience. The reconfigured channel layout focuses on delivering a wider soundstage and clearer dialogue. The Sonos Arc Ultra supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, and Dolby Multichannel PCM with eARC-enabled TVs. It sounds excellent but adding a Sub 4 for deeper bass and two Era 100s or Era 300s for a better surround sound takes the movie watching experience to the next level. As for the soundbar itself, the sound is clearer, more detailed, with a wider soundstage and more finesse. It accentuates the thumps in action scenes and retains the depth and details in broader moments. Setup through the Sonos app is quick and glitch-free. It was easy and efficient to add (and group) the Sub 4 within Sonos' app. The Arc Ultra also supports TV Swap feature with Sonos Ace headphones, which worked flawlessly. Fortunately, I didn't come across any bugs in the new Sonos app while using the Arc Ultra. Sonos Arc Ultra and Sub 4 connected to a TV Sonos developed a new 'Sound Motion woofer' for the Arc Ultra to deliver a cinematic experience in a sleeker form factor. Whether it's the explosions in Mission: Impossible – Fallout or the wand duels in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the Arc Ultra keeps you immersed. Even subtle sounds like tunnel chases or brutal hits in The Batman feel vivid. The original Arc is more room-filling, but the Ultra feels more precise and immersive. Unlike many TV speakers and budget soundbars, the Arc Ultra doesn't bury dialogue in noisy scenes. Sonos' Speech Enhancement feature lets you fine-tune dialogue clarity with four levels: Low, Medium, High, and Max. I set it at High most of the time and it made the dialogues more prominent than expected. In comparison, Max boosts dialogue even further by compressing background elements. The Sonos Arc Ultra is priced at $999 in the US and ₹99,999 in India. It's available through major online and offline retailers in both countries. The premium Sonos soundbar would please most users with its clear but detailed sound, sleeker design and new features.

Ninja Gaiden 4 looks sick, is out in October, and has the exact storytelling I demand from a ninja game: 'You're a wanted criminal now'
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Ninja Gaiden 4 got a new trailer and a release date at today's Xbox Games Showcase, and this thing looks like a fever dream I had back in 2013: which I mean as a compliment. I mean, what more is there to life than murdering enemy ninjas and demons in incredibly graceful and over-the-top fashion? The major reason for excitement around Ninja Gaiden 4, after the unutterably disappointing Ninja Gaiden 3, is that Team Ninja has been on fine form ever since with the likes of Nioh, and on this occasion had the wisdom to rope-in Platinum Games, best-known for Bayonetta and a studio that boasts some of the best hack-and-slash talent the industry's ever known. And doesn't Ninja Gaiden 4 show it. You wanna know what I mean by hack-and-slash talent? This trailer opens with a character called Seori saying "watch your back Yakumo, you're a wanted criminal now." "I'll kill the dark dragon myself," says new protagonist Yakumo. "It's my mission as a raven ninja." The latter phrase is uttered as some goon's body slowly slides apart after being bisected by a ninja sword and all I have to say is: yes. Then some dork called Misaki says "breaking the dark dragon free has consequences" before a shot of some thunder-y lightning-flecked skies, and we're into the action shots of enemies being chopped into pieces. So many pieces. We get a glimpse of Yakumo's various weapons which include one that morphs into a giant drill, which he then drills enemy bodies apart with, and an absolutely sick-looking hammer that I am going to main. We've had about five seconds' worth of dialogue followed by about 400 enemies being eviscerated in 15 seconds and, you know what: take my ninjacoin. But wait there's more: Seori pops up again and says "Ryu, there's something I need your help with" and say no more fam: we're instantly into our boy Hayabusa filleting monsters, executing a fool with a perfect Flying Swallow, executing perfect dodges, and cracking out the ninpo magic. I especially liked how the camera jerks down into a fixed position for the ninpo, which maybe doesn't look as slick as some modern titles but is how the Ninja Gaiden games have always done it. At a certain point in the trailer some of you might find yourselves thinking "why does this giant mutated shark have an almost equally large humanoid skeleton inside it?" And it's a fair question but, if you need it answered, this isn't the game for you. I on the other hand am going to brutally kill that skeleton shark for daring to exist in my videogame. Ninja Gaiden 4 is out October 21, 2025, and you best believe I've got a hot date that night with a dark dragon.
