SAN JOSE, Calif. - A motorcyclist was fatally injured in a traffic collision in San Jose on Thursday morning.
The San Jose Police Department was called just after 6:45 a.m. to the area of Senter Road and Sylvandale Avenue on reports of the crash and found a silver Harley Davidson motorcycle and its rider down at the scene.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin, and the SJPD identified him only as an adult man.
A preliminary investigation into the crash revealed that a Chevrolet Camaro was driving east on Buckeye Drive through Senter Road into the designated right turn lane to Sylvandale Avenue when the Camaro was struck on its broadside by the motorcycle, which was traveling north on Senter Road.
The driver of the Camaro remained at the scene and cooperated with an investigation into the crash.
The crash marks San Jose's 10th fatal traffic collision and 10th traffic death of 2025, according to the SJPD.

Car vs. motorcycle crash leaves Spearfish man dead
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Spearfish police were called to a car vs. motorcycle crash on Thursday afternoon that left one man dead, according to a news release. Major gold find near Spearfish, South Dakota reported Witnesses described a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveled eastbound on Colorado Boulevard, when a westbound 2020 Ford Escape turned left toward Christensen Drive, in front of the motorcycle. This caused the driver of the motorcycle, a 71-year-old Spearfish man, to strike the passenger side of the vehicle. He was was transported to Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The press release stated he was not wearing a helmet and authorities did not release the victim's name. Motorcyclist killed in crash with vehicle in South San Jose
A motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning when he crashed into a vehicle in San Jose, police said. The crash happened at about 6:47 a.m. in the area of Senter Road and Sylvandale Avenue in South San Jose. The San Jose Police Department said in a press release that a man driving a 2015 Chevy Camaro was crossing Senter headed east from Buckeye Drive into the dedicated right turn lane of eastbound Sylvandale and was broadsided by a 2004 Harley-Davidson heading north on Senter. The motorcyclist, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said. The driver of the Camaro remained at the scene and was cooperating with the police investigation. The motorcyclist's identity was withheld until his family was notified. Police said it was the 10th fatal collision and 10th traffic death of 2025.
