While Bengaluru, better known as India's 'Silicon Valley,' made international headlines for torrential rain causing widespread urban flooding over the past few days, it was a digital billboard at an MG Road intersection that caught the attention of a commuter stuck in traffic. The billboard briefly flickered, displaying a QR code last evening before returning to its scheduled advertisement. The commuter, Anukriti Sharma, captured this moment — which lasted only a few seconds — on video and later posted it on her Instagram handle: @ ANUKRITISHARMA The video shows her scanning the QR code, only to be redirected to a website — redenvelope.club — which features a red envelope graphic accompanied by the phrase: 'Most envelopes deliver messages. This envelope delivers destinies.'The website displays a countdown timer set to end at 12:00 PM on 29 May, along with a red envelope icon and a prompt inviting users to answer a set of 'riddles.' One such multiple-choice riddle is: 'Choose one wish, but it has consequences, with the following options to choose from — eternal wealth, at the cost of my soul; unseen power, but at the risk of losing my humanity; a life without fear, but with no real love.'The website, however, does not clarify its purpose or affiliation, or provide any further information about the phrase 'this envelope delivers destinies'. As of now, there's no information on who manages this unverified account. No entity has claimed responsibility. It all started when on May 19, Instagram user Sohail Shaikh, going by the handle @imsohail_d, posted a video a flight — reportedly flying from Delhi to Dubai — breaking into a mid-air rap, with the lyrics featuring phrases such as 'Red envelope is a mystery … where elite minds create history' to 'Learn, learn, learn how to make your money dance', redirecting audiences to an Instagram handle: @ red.envelope.society Since then, similar posts have reportedly appeared across social media platforms, specifically Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), with #RedEnvelopeSociety even trending on X on May 20.In yet another such instance, a passenger vlogging on a Bengaluru-Qatar flight reportedly found a velvety red envelope — sealed with a gold insignia — tucked into her seat pocket. The video shows the passenger, Nirja Parekh (@nirjaparekh16), opening the envelope to find a QR code and a printed cryptic message that reads : 'In the next two hours, you can sleep, read, watch movies... but your money doesn't do any of this! Wanna know how the elite make their money work? Your invitation expires upon landing!'The QR code reportedly leads to the @red.envelope.society Instagram handle — which has grown to over 250,000 followers as of 28 May, 2025.Another video reportedly showed women in red satin dresses distributing similar red envelopes in airport lounges. On 21 May, an Instagram user, Deepanshi Gujral (@deepsi_predicts), posted a video titled 'What is this Red Envelope mystery?' . In the caption, Gujral asked whether this activity is linked to zodiac signs, with another user mentioning in the comments section that they would want to be 'worthy' of being selected as the recipient of the said 'red envelope'.Similarly, other Instagram users, too, posted videos reportedly showing women in red satin dresses distributing similar red envelopes in airport lounges. One such user, Raj Shivtare ( @raj.shivtare) , ponders over the nature of the red envelope, suggesting that it might potentially be linked to 'stock tips from the future' or 'formulas' on 'how to retire by 30 without any side hustles' — essentially indicating investment knowledge.Another Instagram user, Chest Agarwal ( @chestagarwal ), posted a video referencing an individual who reportedly ingested the red envelope. In the caption, Agarwal mentioned how some users are now questioning the nature of the envelope and wondering whether it is linked to a 'secret (financial) society invite.'Messages such as 'Learn how the elite make their money work' have led some users to speculate whether the red envelope is linked to financial advice or online money-making methods. However, no direct linkage has been established so far.Two days ago, Instagram user ( @rinki.raj.in) posted a video claiming that her friend, a working professional, and his colleagues were bombarded with a sudden interruption during a Zoom call when the screen flashed visuals of a red envelope, accompanied by a voiceover saying, 'I like destiny', with no entity claiming ownership of the audio-visual elements. It was then that the user connected the dots and realised how the red envelope conversation has grown—now with repeated sightings across airport lounges and flights—and how it has got everyone hooked, especially as netizens are curious to learn the real meaning of the cryptic message: 'Wealth is not earned; it's unlocked'. In her caption, she reiterated speculations about whether these activities point to an 'elite-level game' or are a litmus test for some secret society. Does her friend's company have any connection to this society? So far, there's no answer. In another instance, an Instagram user (@ stylewithsohu ) shared how, while waiting for her flight at the Mumbai airport, a digital screen grabbed her attention. It flashed the message: 'Did your money make more money?' In her video post, she noted that the message hinted that some people are already ahead in the race to grow their money. When she scanned the QR code, it directed her to @red.envelope.society—as seen in multiple earlier instances. In the post, she also wrote that this has now propelled the red envelope series of activities to the level of a 'thriller', with insinuations of an impending suspense waiting to be unveiled. That's not all. Another Instagram user (@ kishorebandana ) referenced a voice note in which an individual talks about the same Red Envelope Society and how it doesn't chase wealth but creates it. The user shared how she, like many others, is curious to understand the true nature and intent behind this Instagram page—whether it's related to the stock market or tied to billionaires' how-to-make-money or how-to-become-rich playbooks. The Instagram account — which describes itself in its bio as 'an invite-only network of elites' — has posted eight times to date. Each post features the red envelope accompanied by vague, cryptic captions. Among them is a pinned message that reads: 'Cannot be bought or earned. Only chosen!' While no verifiable claims have been made, the envelope's messaging — which hints at wealth-building strategies — has prompted some users to interpret it as a possible teaser for 'get-rich-quick' tactics. The page appears to function like an interactive treasure hunt. As of now, the account remains unverified, and there is no publicly known individual or organisation behind it. No entity has claimed ownership. From flight seat pockets to airport lounges, the red envelope has been spotted in multiple settings. Though no official source has taken credit, the envelope — typically velvety and sealed with a gold insignia — is becoming a recognisable object, as evidenced by a growing number of social media posts. The countdown is set to end at 12:00 PM on 29 May. The countdown's conclusion may offer further clarity on what the red envelope truly represents — whether this is part of any marketing gimmick, a trend experiment, or, if at all, it has some genuine value or knowledge-sharing intent attached to it.

Bhagyashree Gets Surprise Proposal From Husband After 35 Years Of Marriage
Last Updated: Bhagyashree shares dreamy photos as husband Himalay Dassani finally proposes after 35 years. The surprise gesture has fans gushing over their timeless romance. Bhagyashree and Himalay Dassani's love story is one for the ages—rooted in youthful beginnings, tested by time, and sealed with a bond that has only grown stronger over three decades. But as the Maine Pyaar Kiya star recently revealed, there was one thing missing all these years: a proper proposal. And now, 30 years into their marriage, Himalay has finally gone down on one knee—and fans can't get enough. On Friday, Bhagyashree took to her Instagram to share a heart-melting moment straight out of a romantic movie. During a photoshoot, the actress was taken by surprise when her husband walked in, music playing, and dropped to his knees to propose in front of the crew. The moment was captured in a series of candid and dreamy photographs by photographer Prashant Samtani. The background score? A soulful rendition of 'Kabhi Usey Noor Noor Kehta Hoon"—though Bhagyashree humorously quipped that 'Diljit would have cried to hear this version tho!" View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bhagyashree (@ In her caption, she lovingly wrote, 'Secret let out… No matter what everyone feels about Himalayji being a romantic husband… he wasn't so earlier and I kept telling him that he never really had proposed to me. So here I was, midst of a photoshoot, and to my surprise he just interrupted us with this song… But yay! Hubby decided to finally go on his knees." The internet swooned over the gesture, flooding the comments with warmth and admiration. 'A perfect bonding, God-given," wrote one fan, while another gushed, 'Made for each other. I love both of you—incalculable!" A third echoed the sentiment: 'Your love is an inspiration for others." The iconic actress married Himalay Dassani shortly after the blockbuster success of Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989. Their love, however, has stood quietly strong over the years. Together, they've raised two children—son Abhimanyu Dassani, who made a sensational Bollywood debut with Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and won a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut, and daughter Avantika Dassani, who stepped into the spotlight with the psychological thriller Mithya. This surprise proposal, decades after their wedding vows, feels like a reminder: love isn't just about grand gestures at the start—it's about finding new ways to say 'I choose you" again and again. For Bhagyashree and Himalay, it may have taken thirty years—but the sparkle in their eyes says it was worth the wait. First Published:

The very first Birkin bag ever made is going on sale
The first Hermès Birkin bag, originally designed for Jane Birkin, is up for auction at Sotheby's Paris. This iconic black leather bag, born from a chance encounter in 1984, was previously sold by Birkin for AIDS research. Expected to ignite a bidding war, the bag represents fashion history, ethical considerations, and timeless allure. Struggling to score a Birkin even with all the right connections (and credit cards)? You're not alone and now, the ultimate holy grail of handbags is up for grabs. The very first Hermès Birkin bag ever made, the one that started it all, originally designed for style icon Jane Birkin herself, is hitting the auction block this July. That's right, the Birkin is coming out of its rarefied vault for Sotheby's Paris Fashion Icons sale on July 10, and fashion history is about to have a new owner. Crafted in jet-black leather and finished with signature gold hardware, this saddle-style Birkin isn't just a collector's dream, it's a slice of sartorial legend. The story behind it? A chance encounter in 1984 between Jane Birkin and Hermès CEO Jean-Louis Dumas aboard a flight, where her overflowing straw bag sparked a moment of genius and gave birth to fashion's most desired arm candy. An undated photo provided by Sotheby's shows the original Hermès prototype for Jane Birkin's iconic bag. The prototype for the Birkin bag will be sold at auction this summer. There is no estimate for how high the bidding may go. (Sotheby's via The New York Times) -- NO SALES; FOR EDITORIAL USE ONLY WITH NYT STORY SLUGGED BIRKIN PROTOTYPE AUCTION BY MARISA MELTZER FOR JUNE 5, 2025. ALL OTHER USE PROHIBITED. -- Now, that exact bag-once sold by Jane herself in 1994 to raise funds for AIDS research, is returning to the spotlight. Previously owned by the elusive collector 'Catherine B' (yes, the one with the 'proud owner of the first Hermès Birkin' bio on Instagram), this icon is expected to ignite bidding wars and break records. 'This is a one-of-a-kind moment. The first Birkin is more than a handbag, it's a pop culture artefact,' said Morgane Halimi, Global Head of Handbags and Fashion at Sotheby's. And here's the kicker: it will be sold exactly as Jane Birkin used it, worn-in charm and all. But this isn't just a luxury fantasy. It's a reminder of Jane Birkin's bold ethical stance. She famously asked Hermès to remove her name from the crocodile-skin Birkin after learning of the disturbing animal cruelty practices involved. 'I have asked Hermès to debaptise the Birkin Croco,' she said in a statement that shook the luxury world. With this sale, the original Birkin reclaims centre stage - not just as a style status symbol, but as a cultural relic that tells a bigger story about fashion, ethics, and timeless allure. If there's ever been a handbag worth fighting over, this is it. Let the bidding begin. One step to a healthier you—join Times Health+ Yoga and feel the change

'I thought I was in trouble': Dodgers prank turns sweet as Dave Roberts gifts Shohei Ohtani's daughter a little pink Porsche
'I thought I was in trouble': Dodgers prank turns sweet as Dave Roberts gifts Shohei Ohtani's daughter a little pink Porsche (Image via Getty) A fun gift exchange between two Los Angeles Dodgers stars is warming hearts. Dave Roberts, the Dodgers' manager, recently gave a very special gift to Shohei Ohtani's newborn daughter. The gift? A pink toy Porsche. The moment was captured in a video and shared by Shohei Ohtani on his Instagram page. This sweet gesture follows a light-hearted joke that started between the two men last season. Dave Roberts surprises Shohei Ohtani's baby with playful Porsche gift On Wednesday, June 5, 2025, during a press talk in Los Angeles, Dave Roberts shared the story behind the pink toy car. The idea came from a running joke between him and Shohei Ohtani. He said, 'We had a little running practical-joke situation going on, but this was a gift for the baby.' Shohei Ohtani replied, 'I thought I was in trouble.' Dave Roberts and his wife Tricia Roberts gifted the mini pink Porsche after Shohei Ohtani and his wife Mamiko Tanaka welcomed their first child on April 19, 2025. While the couple has not shared their daughter's name, this thoughtful gift added a warm and funny moment to their new chapter as parents. Ohtani's reaction? 'He was very grateful,' Roberts said while smiling. The fun exchange also shows the strong bond between the Dodgers teammates and staff. Also Read: Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani eyes third consecutive MVP award with red- hot performance in MLB Sweet continuation of the Porsche prank between Shohei Ohtani and Dave Roberts This was not the first time a toy Porsche made its way into the Dodgers' clubhouse. The joke started in May 2024, when Shohei Ohtani broke the Dodgers' record for most home runs by a Japanese player. The record was earlier held by Dave Roberts, who was born in Japan and played for the Dodgers during his MLB career. At the time, Roberts joked that Ohtani should gift him a real Porsche. Instead, Ohtani gave him a purple toy Porsche for his office. He later placed another toy car in Roberts' parking spot at Camelback Ranch in Arizona during spring training in March 2025. This playful gifting didn't stop there. Back in December 2023, when Ohtani joined the Dodgers, he gifted Ashley Kelly, wife of Dodgers pitcher Joe Kelly, a real Porsche. This was a thank-you gift after Joe Kelly gave up his jersey number 17 so Ohtani could wear it.
