UFC 315 bonuses: Mike Malott \n'Proper' screwed, no $50K for making 'Buffalo' into burger
The UFC handed out four bonuses after Saturday's card, but denied one of the most brutal finishes of the year – and a moment that electrified fans perhaps more than any other yet this year in the UFC.
Four fighters picked up an extra $50,000 for their performances in at UFC 315 in Montreal. Check out the winners below.
Performance of the Night: Marc-Andre Barriault
Marc-Andre Barriault def. Bruno Silva via knockout (elbows) – Round 1, 1:27
It's pretty hard to deny someone a bonus when their knockout sends an opponent out of the arena on a stretcher and to the hospital. That's what Marc-Andre Barriault (17-9 MMA, 6-8 UFC) did to Bruno Silva (23-13 MMA, 4-7 UFC)with crazy elbows on the prelims. Plus, he took 20 percent of Silva's purse because the Brazilian missed weight.
Performance of the Night: Jasmine Jasudavicius
Jasmine Jasudavicius def. Jessica Andrade via submission (rear-naked choke) – Round 1, 2:40
Canada's Jasmine Jasudavicius (14-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC) continued to make a rapid ascent up the women's flyweight ladder when she took out former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade (26-14 MMA, 17-12 UFC) with a first-round submission. She made a strong case for title consideration with the win.
Fight of the Night: Jack Della Maddalena def. Belal Muhammad
Jack Della Maddalena def. Belal Muhammad via unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 49-46)
The welterweight title changed hands in the main event when Jack Della Maddalena (18-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) upset champion Belal Muhammad (24-4 MMA, 15-4 UFC), who was making his first attempted defense of the title. Della Maddalena has yet to lose in the UFC. Despite the loss, Muhammad's bonus was just his third – and his first Fight of the Night bonus since his promotional debut nearly nine years ago.

Israel Adesanya believes UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis' strong will should help him prevail against Khamzat Chimaev. Du Plessis (23-2 MMA, 9-0 UFC) defends his title against Chimaev (14-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) in Saturday's UFC 319 (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) main event at United Center in Chicago. "I've looked at this fight two ways: Khamzat comes out, just grabs a hold of DDP, and just drags him into deep water in the first or second, and finishes him," Adesanya said on his YouTube channel. "Or DDP matches his crazy, matches Khamzat's crazy with his own type of crazy and his willingness to not quit, and then drags Khamzat into deep waters of the third, fourth, or fifth round and gets him out of there. That's how I see this fight going." Adesanya decided to stick with his latter theory. "Khamzat showed his hand. He's going to go after him from the get-go," Adesanya added. "But DDP, I think, can weather the storm and probably finish Khamzat later on. Because Khamzat, if it gets to Rounds 3, 4, 5, it's going to be a problem. It probably won't get to Round 5. I say Round 3 or 4, DDP. But if Khamzat is going to win, it's going to be in the first round. It's going to be impressive, it's going to be spectacular, it's going to be violent. I'm going to go with DDP. "It's good if he's champion, (but) the UFC probably wants Khamzat to be champion because he is a guy that brings a lot of eyes, says it and gets it done type sh*t. But I like having DDP as champion because I still think it's inspiring to a lot of Africans – especially South Africans, as well, like me, Kamaru, and Francis did for the continent as the three kings. He can do that solely as the African champ in the UFC. So yeah, I think he'll get it done. He's just stubborn. I'm going to go Dricus by late TKO."

Alibi Idiris hopes full camp pays off vs. UFC vet Morales in 'TUF 33' finale
CHICAGO – Alibi Idiris met the media Wednesday ahead of his fight at UFC 319. Idiris (10-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) meets Joseph Morales (12-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) in the Season 33 flyweight final of "The Ultimate Fighter." Their fight takes place on the preliminary card at United Center in Chicago. At media day, Idiris took questions from media members before his "TUF" finale fight. Idiris will have a unique experience heading into his tournament final in that his opponent, Morales, already has three fights in the UFC years ago. But he's not necessarily thinking he'll be at a disadvantage, especially since he got to have a full fight camp instead of just a few days on the show. "We had to fight very frequently.
