MONTREAL – Marc-Andre Barriault met the media Saturday after his win over Bruno Silva at UFC 315. Barriault (17-9 MMA, 6-8 UFC) electrified his home crowd in Canada when he took out Silva (23-13 MMA, 4-7 UFC) with a brutal series of elbows against the fence for a first-round knockout. The bonus-winning finish sent Silva out of the cage on a stretcher and to the hospital. After the scary-for-Silva finish, Barriault is hoping he winds up with a new contract from the UFC. "I think I proved that I still belong here and I want to stay here," Barriault told MMA Junkie at his post-fight news conference. "… I want to stay here. I love the UFC. I don't want to go anywhere else. It was my 15th fight in the UFC and the last fight on my contract. "I want a new contract, and I think I proved I deserve a new contract. You guys are going to see me again soon." Barriault became the first fighter to knock Silva out in a sanctioned pro fight. He snapped a three-fight skid, all of which came in 2024. The loss was Silva's fifth straight and seventh in eight fights aftera 3-0 start in the UFC in 2021 with two bonuses. Check out Barriault's post-fight news conference in the video above.

She made a strong case for title consideration with the win. Fight of the Night: Jack Della Maddalena def. Belal Muhammad Jack Della Maddalena def. Belal Muhammad via unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) The welterweight title changed hands in the main event when Jack Della Maddalena (18-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) upset champion Belal Muhammad (24-4 MMA, 15-4 UFC), who was making his first attempted defense of the title. Della Maddalena has yet to lose in the UFC. Despite the loss, Muhammad's bonus was just his third – and his first Fight of the Night bonus since his promotional debut nearly nine years ago.
