Nishaanchi First Look: Aaishvary Thackeray Impresses In Dual Avatars, Netizens Say ‘Dhamaka Hai Dhamaka!'
Bal Thackeray's grandson Aaishvary Thackeray is all set to make his acting debut with Anurag Kashyap's next, Nishaanchi. The movie is all set to hit theatres in September, and the first look from the crime drama was unveiled yesterday, on July 31. The first look of the film gives dark 80's action thriller vibes, featuring Aaishvary in two different avatars.
While it's not disclosed whether he has a double role or is just going to don two different looks, the poster is already making an amazing first impression. Apart from Aaishvary, Nishaanchi also stars Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra in pivotal roles.
While sharing Nishaanchi's first look, the makers wrote on Instagram, 'Poster chapwa diye hai, ab lagne waale hai. #Nishaanchi coming to theatres near you on September 19." As soon as the poster was dropped, fans started reacting to it.
One wrote, 'Ayo Anurag Kashyap movie in 2025? That too in theatres? Long live cinema." 'Dhamaka hai Dhamaka!!! 🔥!! Loved it," another one commented. Aaishvary Thackeray started his journey as an assistant director to Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He worked with him on the sets of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's Bajirao Mastani.
As per reports, Aaishvary Thackeray has been honing his skills for the past five years, ensuring a solid Bollywood debut.
As for his social media presence, Aaishvary keeps a low profile, with only 11K followers on Instagram. Till now, he has shared only five posts, with the latest being the announcement of his upcoming film with Anurag Kashyap. Among other posts is a nostalgic photo with his grandfather.
Aaishvary Thackeray's Nishaanchi was announced on Monday, June 16, with a video. 'Lights, camera, action. Yeh fillam dekhne ke liye taiyyar ho jao. #Nishaanchi, releasing at a theatre near you, September 19," the side note read.
Speaking about the film, Nishaanchi, Anurag Kashyap told Variety, 'We wrote Nishaanchi in 2016. Since then, I have been looking to make this film the way it should be, and was looking for a studio that trusted me to do that wholeheartedly."

Bengaluru: Actor Darshan and co-accused Pavithra Gowda urged Supreme Court to uphold the bail granted to them by Karnataka high court in the sensational Renukaswamy murder case. The apex court had reserved its verdict after a lengthy hearing on Karnataka govt's plea seeking to cancel their bail. In his written submission, Darshan (accused no. 2 in the case) argued that bail should only be revoked in cases of serious violations, none of which apply to him.
