The Gilded Age Season 3 OTT Release Date: When and where to watch Carrie Coon & Morgan Spector's historical drama
The Gilded Age Season 3 OTT Release Date: Hold onto your corsets and cravats, New York's upper crust is about to clash again. After two addictive seasons of social ambition, secrets, scandals, and grand staircases, The Gilded Age returns for Season 3, promising more high-society drama than ever. Mark your calendars: the third season will stream in India on JioHotstar starting June 23, 2025.
Viewers in the US will get it a day earlier, on June 22 at 9 PM ET, on HBO and Max. From creator Julian Fellowes, the genius behind Downton Abbey, this American period drama explores the glittering yet cutthroat world of 1880s New York, where old money and new money collide, and reputations can be built or destroyed with a single dinner invitation.
What's the plot this time?
In The Gilded Age Season 3, Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon) is aiming to control the whole ballroom. After conquering the opera wars in Season 2, she now sets her sights on cementing the Russell name in every pillar of high society. But don't expect the old-money elite to hand it over without a fight. Meanwhile, George Russell (Morgan Spector), our rail tycoon with a conscience, is teetering on a business decision that could make or break the family fortune.
His grip on America's industrial future might be slipping, and he knows it. On the other side of the street, Agnes van Rhijn (Christine Baranski) and her much-too-spirited niece Marian Brook (Louisa Jacobson) continue their ideological tug-of-war. Marian is still stubbornly pursuing independence and possibly love (again?), while Agnes fights to keep the van Rhijn name wrapped tightly in decorum and Victorian morals. Good luck with that, Aunt Agnes.
And if that's not enough, Peggy Scott (Denée Benton) finds herself navigating not just her journalism career, but a complicated new relationship with a doctor—yes, romance is back on the menu, with side servings of class and race politics.
Who's running the show?
Julian Fellowes continues to steer the ship, with the always-capable Sonja Warfield returning as co-writer and executive producer. Direction is in the hands of series regulars Michael Engler and Salli Richardson-Whitfield, who know how to shoot drama between teacups better than anyone else. The series continues to be a co-production between HBO and Universal Television.

Billy Joel attempted suicide twice, fell into coma after his affair with former bandmate's wife
Singer-songwriter and pianist Billy Joel opened up about the dark and painful phase of life. After the premiere of his new documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes, at the Tribeca Festival, the ace musician shared that he underwent two suicide attempts and fell into a coma after he had an affair with his former bandmate's wife. (Also read: Billy Joel brain disorder diagnosis: List of canceled concerts and how to get ticket refunds?) In his early 20s, Joel was in a band called Attila with his best friend Jon Small. At the time, he moved in with Small, Elizabeth Weber -- Small's wife -- and their son, reported People. "Bill and I spent a lot of time together," Elizabeth said in the documentary, adding that it was a "slow build." Then, Small realised something was up and Joel came to him with the truth: "I'm in love with your wife." "I felt very, very guilty about it. They had a child. I felt like a homewrecker," the singer said, adding, "I was just in love with a woman and I got punched in the nose, which I deserved. Jon was very upset. I was very upset." This fight resulted in the end of Attila and the end of their friendship for some time. Years later, Elizabeth and Joel reconnected and were married from 1973-1982. "I had no place to live. I was sleeping in laundromats and I was depressed, I think to the point of almost being psychotic," he said in the documentary. "So I figured, 'That's it. I don't want to live anymore.' I was just in a lot of pain and it was sort of like why hang out, tomorrow is going to be just like today is and today sucks. So, I just thought I'd end it all," reported People. Joel's sister, Judy Molinari, was working as a medical assistant, and she gave him sleeping pills to help him sleep. "But Billy decided that he was going to take all of them... he was in a coma for days and days and days," she said in the documentary, adding, "I went to go see him in the hospital, and he was laying there white as a sheet. I thought that I'd killed him." Small added, "He never really said anything to me, the only practical answer I can give as to why Billy took it so hard was because he loved me that much and that it killed him to hurt me that much. Eventually I forgave him." After the suicide attempts, he felt like a "lost soul" and checked himself into an "observation ward." The experience was life-changing for Joel, who was released within a couple of weeks. "I got out of the observation ward and I thought to myself, you can utilise all those emotions to channel that stuff into music," he said, reported People. Billy Joel: And So It Goes is slated to hit HBO in July. (ANI)

Ocean With David Attenborough OTT release: When and where to watch new documentary on marine ecosystems
On World Oceans Day, broadcaster and biologist David Attenborough, is all set to come up with a documentary special. Ocean With David Attenborough will be out on June 8 on National Geographic and JioHotstar at 7 pm. With this documentary, the makers aim to raise awareness among audience on how they can help save the world's oceans, as per a press note. Speaking about the documentary, Attenborough said, "My lifetime has coincided with the great age of ocean discovery. Over the last hundred years, scientists and explorers have revealed remarkable new species, epic migrations, and dazzling, complex ecosystems beyond anything I could have imagined as a young man. In this film, we share those wonderful discoveries, uncover why our ocean is in such poor health, and, perhaps most importantly, show how it can bounce back to life." Tom McDonald, National Geographic's executive vice president of Global Factual and Unscripted Content, said, "I'm thrilled that audiences worldwide will be able to engage with Sir David's signature storytelling and the inspirational message of this film through the power of National Geographic's global platforms. There is no one better to deliver this landmark film than Sir David, and I'm delighted that he's working with National Geographic for the very first time on a subject that is timely and close to his heart." Alok Jain, President - Entertainment, JioStar added, "At National Geographic India, we believe that storytelling has the power to ignite change. OCEAN WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH is a landmark film that reminds us how interconnected we are with our oceans, even here in India, where over 11,000 kilometers of coastline support vibrant marine life and millions of livelihoods. Through David Attenborough's unmatched narration and breathtaking visuals, we hope to inspire Indians to see our oceans not just as distant waters but as living systems that need our urgent protection. This is not just a global story - it is our story too." The film features never-before-seen footage of bottom trawling -- the act of dragging weighted fishing nets along the Ocean floor -- and its devastating effects on the Ocean. (with inputs from ANI)
