Tributes paid to 'adored grandmother' who died following crash on A75

Tributes have been paid to an 'adored grandmother' who died in a crash on the A75 in Dumfries and Galloway.
Judith Molloy, 76, died in a crash on the Gretna to Stranraer road near Skyreburn around 11.20pm on Wednesday involving a red Suzuki Ignis and a white Peugeot Partner van.
Ms Molloy, a passenger in the Suzuki, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where she died.
Her family has released a tribute through Police Scotland, reading: 'Judith was an adored wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she leaves behind family and many friends whose lives will never be the same.​
'We will miss her every single day.'
The driver of the Suzuki, a 74-year-old man, was not injured.
The Peugeot Partner's driver and passenger, a 70-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman, were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The force is urging anyone with information regarding the crash to come forward.
Constable Luke Bell said: 'Our thoughts are with Mrs Molloy's family and friends at this difficult time. We'll continue to liaise with them throughout our investigation.​'I'd like to thank everyone who has come forward with information to assist our enquiries.​
'We are still looking for witnesses to this collision, if you can help, contact 101 quoting reference 1251 of 28 May.'

Edinburgh police issue appeal after Ferry Road collision

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a crash involving a pedestrian and the driver a car on Ferry Road last night. The incident happened around 6.35pm on Friday, 30 May, 2025, and involved a blue Land Rover Discovery. The pedestrian, a 7-year-old boy, was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People for treatment. His injuries are serious but not described as life threatening. The driver was uninjured. The road reopened around 11.15pm following further investigation. Sergeant Fraser Mitchell said: 'Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident, and I would urge anyone with information to come forward. 'I am also keen to speak to any drivers who were in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage which has captured something of significance.' The man was driving a van and crashed into a red Renault. Police officers are hunting a van driver who fled the scene on foot after his van crashed into a car and left two pensioners need hospital treatment. The incident took place on the A6094, which links Leadburn with Dalkeith, Midlothian, on Thursday morning, and Police Scotland have now appealed for witnesses over the crash. ‌ The smash took place at around 11.10am on May 29 and saw the man in question's white Ford Transit flat bed van colliding with a red Renault Captur. ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The women, aged 68 and 69, were taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries. A post on the Police Scotland Midlothian Facebook page appealed for witnesses. The social media post read: "Road Policing officers are looking to trace the driver of a van which was involved in a crash with a car on the A6094. ‌ "The incident took place near to Rosewell, around 11.10am on Thursday, 29 May and involved a white Ford Transit flat bed and a red Renault Captur. "The male driver of the van left the scene on foot before the emergency services arrived. He headed north along the A6094. Two women, aged 68 and 69, were taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries." Constable Stewart Logan said: "We are keen to speak with the man who was driving the van or anyone who stopped at the crash and spoke with him before he left. "We are also looking to speak with any further witnesses or anyone with information or dashcam who has yet to contact police. If you believe you can assist, please call 101, quoting incident 1162 of 29 May."
