This Morning host supported by co-star as he makes family health admission
On today's episode of the popular ITV show, Craig and Rochelle delivered the latest updates from the UK and around the world.
Following a chat with Deirdre Sanders about the upcoming phone-in segment on in-law issues, Craig took a moment to send his best to his mum in hospital.
Deirdre said: "We're here to help with any in-law problem," prompting Craig to jest: "Don't know what she's talking about. My in-laws are perfect, morning Dorothy."
Craig quickly added: "Can I say hello to my mum who's in hospital. Hello mum, how are you? Have you got the sound up? Good girl," reports Wales Online.
Craig Doyle revealed that his mum was in hospital on Wednesday (May 28)
Rochelle chimed in with a warm message: "Hello mum! Hope you're good. Love her."
The duo were filling in for regular hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who are taking a break during the half-term holiday. Earlier in the week, Paddy McGuinness and Alison Hammond had taken the reins.
At the beginning of today's programme, Rochelle praised Craig for his achievement in last month's London Marathon.
"You're stuck with Craig and I today, sorry about that," she said, before turning to Craig: "How are you? I've not seen you for a little while and we've got a lot to catch up on.
"Since I've last seen you, you've taken on a big challenge and absolutely nailed it... The London Marathon."
A photo was then displayed showing Craig proudly posing with his medal, alongside EastEnders icon Adam Woodyatt and TV host Jenni Falconer.
Craig completed The London Marathon last month
"Ah fantastic! [Jenni] had to have her knee up because it was sweaty day, let's just say," Craig shared about the marathon experience.
"I haven't done one in about 20 years and I thought I was the same as I was 20 years ago, I'm definitely not. It was really, really tough, so congratulations to all of you who finished the marathon... I was slow, I enjoyed it, the crowds were unbelievable."
In other segments of today's programme, Craig and Rochelle spoke to renowned opera singer Lesley Garrett, who revealed her private struggle with cancer.
Additionally, Race Across the World contestants Fin and Sioned stopped by the studio to discuss the latest developments in the popular BBC travel show, while Sharon Marshall delivered the latest soap news directly from the set of Emmerdale.

EastEnders fans convinced character secretly DIED in 40th anniversary after going missing and never being seen since
Scroll to find out more about this fan theory KILLED OFF? EastEnders fans convinced character secretly DIED in 40th anniversary after going missing and never being seen since EASTENDERS fans are convinced a character secretly DIED in the soap's 40th anniversary episode after going missing and never being seen since. Earlier this year, to commentate four decades on the box the BBC One soap aired a special episode which saw a devastating fire rip through the Queen Vic. 5 EastEnders fans are convinced that a member of the Knight family has died Credit: BBC 5 Viewers have noticed pet chihuahua Tyson hasn't featured on the show in months Credit: BBC Advertisement 5 The dog belongs to Anna and Gina Knight Credit: PA However, fans now think pub dog Tyson might not have made it, as he hasn't been seen since the blaze, The Knight family's chihuahua has seemingly gone missing from EastEnders, and eagle-eyed fans are wondering what happened to him. Played by a dog called Spud, Tyson was adopted by Anna and Gina, when they first arrived on Albert Square two years ago. Advertisement Their furry friend was named after the prominent boxer Tyson Fury. But now the pooch has not been sighted on the soap since the fire earlier this year, and fans are worried. EastEnders viewers have now been speculating he may have passed away in the devastating fire at the beginning of the year. Taking to X/Twitter, one said: "Why are we getting new pets on the square when we haven't seen tyson since last year. Did he burn to ash in the anniversary fire? I fear we'll never know." Advertisement Another annoyed viewer complained: "I don't know why they bother writing pets into the show." Another added: "Same with some of the other residential dogs. They just disappear. "Remember Roxy's dog also just conveniently disappeared." EastEnders' Wellard had a role in one of Hollywood's best-known films - and he wasn't even playing a dog There have been several dogs over the years that have become well loved by viewers. Fans will remember Robbie Jackson's beloved dog Wellard. Advertisement Over the years the pooch was actually played by four dogs It once came to light that the fourth (and sadly final) Wellard, was played by a dog called Kyle, who had Hollywood roots. That's because the clever canine starred beside Russell Crowe in Gladiator in 2000. The Belgian Tervuren, who died back in 2008, was Maximus Decimus Meridius' pet dog in the blockbuster. Kyte was the last dog to play Wellard between 1994 - 2008. Also, who can forget Albert Square's first resident dog, Roly. The poodle belonged to Sharon when she lived at the Queen Vic with her parents Dirty Den and Angie Watts. Advertisement Roly debuted in the first ever episode of EastEnders in 1985 and remained on the show until 1993. He was initially intended to be a German Shepherd named Prince, but a suitable dog couldn't be found. During his time on the show, Roly was involved in various storylines, including alerting viewers to Den's affair with Michelle Fowler, and even saving Pat from an attack.

Great British Sewing Bee contestant forced to apologise after off-camera blunder
The Great British Sewing Bee was full of eventful moments on Tuesday's episode with an off-camera blunder and emotional scenes The Great British Sewing Bee delivered plenty of drama on Tuesday's instalment, featuring behind-the-scenes mishaps and tearjerking moments. During the 19 August episode, contestants faced "children's week", where they were tasked with creating garments for youngsters. The opening challenge required contestants to incorporate adaptive fashion elements whilst tackling a pattern for miniature dungarees. Following this, the transformation round saw participants reimagining maternity clothing into toddler ensembles. The final made-to-measure task challenged hopefuls to craft outfits inspired by their childhood career dreams, spanning everything from beekeeping to politics, reports Wales Online. Contestant Caz had aspired to become fashion designer Zandra Rhodes, one of the 1970s' most legendary style icons. Her tribute design featured fitted trousers and a peplum top with faux shirred detailing, completed with a coordinating beret. Paying homage to Zandra Rhodes, she selected striking fabrics and even enlisted her young model's help in creating the print. Watching her creation grace the runway, Caz was spotted dabbing away tears as she observed with evident pride. During the judges' critique, an overwhelmed Caz confessed: "I was wiping away tears while my model came down the catwalk, I'm just really pleased I turned up today." As the programme concluded, Caz found herself in floods of tears once more upon discovering she'd claimed garment of the week, exclaiming: "Wow!" Sadly, this meant one hopeful had to bid farewell to the contest, with Dan being the unlucky contestant sent packing, leaving his fellow competitors visibly upset. As the programme drew to a close, there were further dramatic moments to unfold. During a piece to camera with contestant Orla, who had harboured dreams of becoming a beekeeper in her youth and had crafted a themed ensemble for the task, she found herself having to make an apology following an off-screen mishap. The hopeful was clutching a plush bee toy whilst telling viewers: "Everyone's makes were just bee-utiful. I thought it was really fun" before hurling the cuddly creature out of shot. Unfortunately, the soft toy accidentally struck something or someone beyond the camera's view as a loud crash could be heard, prompting a startled Orla to erupt into giggles. The Great British Sewing Bee continues on Tuesdays at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
