Bronx-native Malachi Smith led five Dayton Flyers in double figures with 18 points as they won, 93-76. He also dished out five assists and went 3-3 from three-point range.
UD shot 53 percent from the floor (29-54), including 57 percent in the second half.
Javon Bennett added 16 points while Zed Key and Enoch Cheeks each had 14. Amaël L'Etang scored the game's first seven points and finished with 11.
The Flyers improved to 17-8 overall, and 7-5 in the Atlantic 10.

The game was tied 48-48 at halftime when Bennett started the second half with a jumper. Smith scored 10 straight points to put Dayton ahead, 60-55 with 15:22 to play.
Posh Alexander's trey extended the lead to double figures, 70-60, with 9:48 remaining.
Cheeks added six straight points and Bennett's three increased the advantage to 83-70. UD never looked back.
The Flyers' next game is Saturday when they host Duquesne at 2:30 p.m. at the UD Arena.

The Los Angeles Rams welcomed back their franchise quarterback on Monday. The Rams posted a video of Matthew Stafford walking onto the practice field dressed in full pads. Stafford's practice participation is great news for a Rams team as they ramp up toward the regular season. Prior to Monday, Stafford's hadn't been able to participate in training camp because of an aggravated disk in his back. The veteran quarterback was supposed to practice in some capacity on Monday, Aug. 11, after a throwing session, but he didn't 'feel great' following the workout. Stafford was scheduled to have another workout on Saturday, Aug. 16, but the Rams have been discreet about whether or not the workout happened. The 37-year-old quarterback is entering his fifth season with the Rams and 17th overall. Stafford and the Rams kickoff the regular season in less than three weeks against the Houston Texans on Sept. 7 at SoFi Stadium. Jimmy Garoppolo is the team's backup quarterback. Stetson Bennett is No. 3 on the depth chart. Bennett started both preseason games for the Rams. He passed for 324 yards, three touchdowns and had only one interception in a 23-22 exhibition win over the Los Angeles Chargers. However, neither Garoppolo nor Bennett can run the Rams' offense like Stafford. Stafford is the engine to the Rams' offensive attack. Stafford was named the Rams MVP last year after he completed 340-of-517 pass attempts for 3,762 yards and 20 touchdowns. Stafford helped the Rams win Super Bowl 56 in his first season in Los Angeles. This was unquestionably the best game of Bennett's career It may only be the preseason, but for players like Stetson Bennett, it's the biggest opportunity he'll get to prove he's deserving of a roster spot. On Saturday night against the Chargers, Bennett made his strongest case yet for a place on the 53-man roster. It was not only his best game as a member of the Los Angeles Rams, but it was the most impressive performance by any quarterback in the NFL this preseason. Bennett completed 28 of 40 passes for 324 yards and three touchdowns with one interception, posting a passer rating of 108.8. That came after he had 188 yards and two touchdowns with a 100.7 passer rating the week prior. It wasn't just the stats that made Bennett's performance so strong. He looked comfortable and confident on the field, making almost no mistakes from the pocket. Bennett made accurate throws off of play action with free rushers in his face. He threw a dime to Mario Williams for a 38-yard touchdown where he fit the ball between two defenders on a rope. And when the game was on the line, he delivered with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Tru Edwards with 5 seconds left to take a one-point lead – after a 40-yard bomb on fourth-and-10. It's why they call him the 'Mailman.' If you missed any or all of Bennett's outing on Saturday, the NFL graciously shared a cut-up of every throw and run by the third-year quarterback in the Rams' 23-22 win. It was as good a performance as you'll see by a third-stringer in the preseason, looking like the National Championship-winning quarterback from Georgia again. Bennett is just about a lock for the 53-man roster after his display on Saturday, especially with Matthew Stafford's status very much up in the air. It's possible Bennett will be Jimmy Garoppolo's backup to start the year, putting him one injury away from potentially seeing the field. That's obviously not what the Rams want but having seen his play this preseason, they can at least feel comfortable with his progression this offseason.
