Oklahoma Sooners Crimson Combine Schedule and Details
Back in March, the Oklahoma Sooners cancelled their traditional spring football game. In the current name, image, and likeness and transfer portal landscape of college football, the powers that be in Norman decided against holding the usual spring game, for fear that players would be injured or poached by other teams.
Instead, OU will hold the first-ever "Crimson Combine" in place of the spring game. That was announced last month, but this week, the athletic department released more details about what fans who attend on April 12th can expect.
According to a press release, "The OU football team will take the field at 1 p.m. Position groups consisting of offensive/defensive linemen, linebackers/defensive backs and quarterbacks/running backs/wide receivers/tight ends will complete a series of drills designed for each group."
But while the drills are the main event of the day, the team also has more in store for Sooner Nation. Per the release, "Upon drills completion at approximately 2 p.m., the north end of Owen Field will open to fans for "Party in the Palace," while players sign autographs on the south end of the field for fans in the stands. Interactive inflatables, a Jordan Brand shoe box retail shop and beer garden will offer activities for fans of all ages. Additionally, the Sooner Schooner, Big Red Rocket and select trophies will be on display for fan photos. The event will conclude at 3 p.m."
Oklahoma joined programs like Ohio State, USC, Nebraska, and Texas in cancelling the spring game this year. They also apparently did not take up Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy's suggestion for joint spring practices.
Gates will open at noon at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium for the first chance for fans to see the 2025 Sooners in action.

Two SEC Programs on ‘Commitment Watch' For Highly Touted Quarterback After Official Visits

Two SEC Programs on 'Commitment Watch' For Highly Touted Quarterback After Official Visits originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Celina, Texas, four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley has emerged as one of the nation's top prospects for the class of 2026, with LSU and Oklahoma battling it out for his commitment. Advertisement He's a 6-foot-2, 200-pound dual-threat quarterback and led Celina High School to a 16-0 record and a state championship in 2024, throwing for 3,211 yards, 47 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions. He added 923 rushing yards along with 16 touchdowns on the ground. Bentley can spread the ball across the field with his strong arm and great accuracy. He brings mobility as well, giving him a dynamic advantage while under pressure. Bentley's rapid rise has seen him climb the rankings as he mulls a huge decision. According to 247Sports, he's the No. 78 ranked overall recruit and the seventh quarterback in the class. Advertisement It seems as if Bentley is getting closer to a decision. After his recent trips to Baton Rouge (May 31, 2025) and Norman (June 6-8, 2025), Bentley is officially on commitment watch. LSU appeals to the young quarterback because of its recent history of developing the position with recent Heisman winners Jayden Daniels and Joe Burrow. The Tigers consistently bring elite skill position players to the program, which also makes them very enticing. On the other side, Oklahoma's offensive coordinator Ben Abruckle's fast-paced scheme saw Cam Ward have success just two years ago at Washington State. The Sooners' close proximity to his home state of Texas could also be a driving factor for his choice. As a decision gets closer, both programs are hopeful to land one of the best quarterbacks in next year's class. Former Ohio State running back signs one-year deal with the Denver Broncos

Former Ohio State running back signs one-year deal with the Denver Broncos J.K. Dobbins, the Comeback Player of the Year finalist, is signing with the #Broncos on a one-year, $5.25 million deal, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Still only 26, Dobbins had over 1,000 yards from scrimmage and 9 TDs in 13 games last season with the #Chargers. — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) June 10, 2025 Former Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins is on the move. It's been a wild ride for Dobbins in his short NFL career. After being selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft, the former Buckeye star had a respectable rookie season, rushing for over 800 yards and putting down the foundation of what looked like a promising and productive career. That's when things took a turn. Dobbins suffered a torn ACL in a preseason game prior to the start of the 2021-2022 season and missed the entire year. He rehabbed but again suffered knee problems the following year, only to come back and tear his ACL during the 2023-2024 season. Dobbins signed a new contract with the Los Angeles Chargers prior to the 2024-2025 season and had what could only be described as a bounce-back year, having his most productive campaign of his career by rushing for 905 yards and nine touchdowns. Dobbins also had some yards as a receiver, putting him over 1,000 yards from scrimmage. Now, after all of that rehab and resiliency, Dobbins will be joining the Denver Broncos on a reportedly one-year, $5.25 million deal. The base salary of the contract is $2.75 million, but many incentives are available to push him over $5 million. This is great news for Dobbins. When healthy, he's shown that he can be a difference maker in the backfield, and the Broncos are banking on exactly that. Hopefully, he has a season where he's on the field as much as possible, and that translates into a long-term deal. Analyst states MSU has better wide receivers than rival UM; sparks debate, fan reactions

Does Michigan State have a better wide receivers core than rival Michigan? At least one analyst believes that to be the case. Popular college football analyst and social media personality Rico Rico posted on X that Michigan State has a better wide receivers core than rival Michigan this upcoming season. Rico Rico hinted that "people aren't going to like this" take and that it would generate plenty of buzz -- which is exactly what happened. Here is Rico Rico's original post on this topic: Michigan State brings back one of the top young wide receivers in Nick Marsh to lead the position group this upcoming season. Joining him are a pair of notable transfer additions in Kent State's Chrishon McCray and Middle Tennessee State's Omari Kelly. That trio should be a potent group this upcoming season, and makes me personally agree with Rico Rico about the Spartans having an the edge over Michigan in this area.
