Hibernian Women announce retained list of players
Hibernian FC Women have confirm its retained list of players following the conclusion of the 2024/25 ScottishPower Women's Premier League season. The Club remains in discussion with Lauren Doran-Barr, with the defender's contract due to expire this summer. As already announced, Shannon Leishman and Lia Tweedie will both depart when their deals expire. Leishman and Tweedie are both Academy graduates who each made their senior debuts in 2014 before going on to make significant contributions to Hibernian Women. Winning four domestic cups and the 2024/25 SWPL title with the Club, versatile full-back Leishman made 171 appearances and scored 11 goals across 11 successful years with her childhood team. Centre-forward Tweedie played 124 times across two spells with Hibs Women, scoring 47 goals and winning seven trophies – consisting of six domestic cups and this season's league title. Abbie Ferguson will also move on following the expiration of her contract. The winger made 58 appearances and scored 11 goals for the Club since joining in June 2023. Ferguson scored four goals and provided four assists during our title-winning campaign this season. After two years with Hibs Women, Mya Christie will also depart the Club upon the conclusion of her contract. The 20-year-old defender made 43 Hibs appearances since joining Hibs in June 2023 and spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Spartans. Erin Clachers has returned to parent club Glasgow City following the conclusion of her loan deal. The goalkeeper was an integral part of the Hibees' charge to the SWPL title – keeping 10 clean sheets in 16 league games. Caley Gibb also returns to her parent club, Partick Thistle, after her short-term loan deal expired. Caley made 10 crucial appearances after returning to the Club for a second spell and playing a pivotal role in the Hibees' run-in. Academy trio Ellie Osborne, Lily Park, and Astrud Nevin, who all spent the 2024/25 season out on loan, will also be leaving the Club this summer in search of First Team football.
