A new report provides an update on Saraya's departure from All Elite Wrestling.
Former AEW Women's World Champion Saraya is set to announce her departure from AEW on the debut episode of her podcast, Rulebreakers With Saraya, which will premiere on March 27th. Entertainment Weekly first reported the news. Saraya commented on the news on Twitter and said that her exit was mutual.

Per Sapp, after inquiring with Saraya's management team, they said that they could 'confirm we've mutually agreed to part ways. Her services have been fulfilled and we are parting on excellent terms.'
Furthermore, Saraya's management team stated that Saraya is now a free agent. In recent interviews, she has made it clear that she wants to take a step away from wrestling to focus on other projects. However, she has also said that she'll come back to wrestling eventually.

Huge Matches Signed For AEW Summer Blockbuster

AEW Summer Blockbuster is going to be a big one, with two matches already confirmed for the event. During Wednesday's episode of AEW's Fyter Fest, Will Ospreay took to the ring alongside Tony Schiavone. He said he regrets trying to pair up Adam Page and Swerve Strickland, and has since adjusted his focus. In a surprising moment, Ospreay then challenged Strickland to a singles match at the upcoming TV special. The match was later confirmed by the show. Ospreay and Strickland met each other in the ring at last year's Forbidden Door pay-per-view in an instant classic. In that match, Strickland walked out the winner, something Ospreay hopes to change this time around. AEW Summer Blockbuster is set to take place on June 11, 2025, and will be held at the Theater of the Clouds at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. 'Star Wars' Star, 73, Says Carrie Fisher Told Him to Get Over Himself

'Star Wars' Star, 73, Says Carrie Fisher Told Him to Get Over Himself originally appeared on Parade. Star Wars star Mark Hamill, 73, shared that his late castmate Carrie Fisher, who famously portrayed Princess Leia, told him to embrace his role as Luke Skywalker. Entertainment Weekly reported Hamill discussed his relationship with Fisher, who died in 2016, during a June 2025 interview on NPR's Fresh Air. According to Hamill, Fisher reprimanded him for not explicitly naming Star Wars in his playbill bio when he starred in a Broadway show. Hamill said Fisher said he needed to stop taking himself so seriously. "She came to see a Broadway show of mine. And in the playbill, in my bio, I listed all my theater credits and at the end it said, 'He's also known for a series of popular space movies,'" said Hamill during the interview. "And she goes, 'What's the deal? How come you don't mention Star Wars?' And I said, 'Well, I want to show that I have a resume that includes extensive theater credits.' And she said, 'Hey, get over yourself. You're Luke Skywalker. I'm Princess Leia. Embrace it.'" Hamill said he understood Fisher's point of view. "And I kind of saw what she meant, you know, because you say to yourself, 'What territory do I occupy that no one else does?' So she was someone that sort of put it in perspective for me," said Hamill. He said, however, that he does have a "disconnect between the current fans" because he believes Luke's story is over in the Star Wars franchise. He clarified that he is "always grateful for George [Lucas] for letting [him] be a part of it" and appreciates Star Wars fans. "I mean, if it weren't for the fans, I wouldn't be here. And so I'm grateful to them. They know details I have never heard of... Like I say, it was an important part of my life that's now over," said Hamill. Hamill said that he isn't interested in returning to the Star Wars franchise in a May 2025 interview with ComicBook. "We never expected it to become a permanent franchise and a part of pop culture like that. But my deal is, I had my time. I'm appreciative of that, but I really think they should focus on the future and all the new characters," said Hamill to the publication. Zoe Saldaña 'collapsed right after' winning Oscar, body shut down over illness at show: 'Lost my voice within an hour'

Zoe Saldaña revealed on Live that she collapsed moments after winning her Oscar. Mark Consuelos recalled that Saldaña was ill, and the star confirmed she "lost my voice." "All I wanted to do was crawl in bed and maybe cry," the Emilia Pérez performer Saldaña's big night on stage at the Oscars preceded a dramatic development backstage, the Emilia Pérez star has revealed in a new interview. Three months after winning her first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the March 2025 ceremony, the 46-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy performer said Wednesday morning on Live With Kelly & Mark that her body gave out moments after accepting the honor. 'It was all beginning to become a blur, it was such a beautiful journey leading up to the Oscars. I don't think I was there as myself [that day], my 13-year-old self was there," Saldaña told cohosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, who also remembered interviewing the actress backstage moments after she won inside Hollywood's Dolby Theatre. Consuelos remembered Saldaña being sick in the moment, which she confirmed by telling him that she fell over following the victory. 'I collapsed right after. I lost my voice within an hour after I won the award,' Saldaña said. 'I couldn't stand on those heels that I had. All I wanted to do was crawl in bed and maybe cry. I don't know why, I needed to cry.' She added that, "Your body is running on pure adrenaline, so you know that your immune system is in optimal condition, but once you know you tell your body that it's over, then everything sort of collapses.' Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for Saldaña for more information. Saldaña also told a comical story about her family's immediate reaction to her Oscars victory, adding that her kids 'saw my win was sort of like a soccer tournament," with one of her children jokingly jabbing her category placement. "My youngest did ask me, because he's a little more competitive than the other ones, 'But this was for supporting actress, right?'" she said as the Live audience chuckled. Saldaña, whose voice can be heard leading the cast of Disney's upcoming animated film Elio, appeared in director Jacques Audiard's Cannes breakout Emilia Pérez as Rita, a budding lawyer who takes a job assisting a former cartel leader (Karla Sofía Gascón) with her gender transition. Her emotional acceptance speech saw the star take the accolade through tears as she praised her family for supporting her. 'My grandmother came to this country in 1961. I am a proud child of immigrant parents with dreams and dignity and hard-working hands, and I am the first American of Dominican origin to accept an Academy Award," she said. "And I know I will not be the last. I hope."Live With Kelly and Mark airs weekdays in syndication. Check your local listings for showtimes in your area.
