R-Truth joining AEW? What's next for Ron Killings after WWE release
Ron Killings, known as R-Truth, announced his release from WWE via social media on Sunday, stunning fans and sparking speculation about his future, including a potential move to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The 53-year-old veteran, who fought John Cena just last week, will be a free agent when his contract expires. In a post on X, platform formerly known as Twitter, R-Truth said: 'I just got released from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride.' His post indicates that WWE chose not to renew his deal. However, no official reports confirm AEW negotiations. The Jacksonville-based promotion recently signed talents like Mina Shirakawa, but Truth's name hasn't surfaced in confirmed talks. AEW, valued at $2 billion and the second-largest wrestling promotion, has a history of signing former WWE stars. Truth's comedic style and in-ring experience could fit AEW's diverse roster, which includes veterans like The Young Bucks and younger stars like MJF. However, AEW's roster is crowded. Ron Killings' age (53) might limit him to midcard or mentor roles. Other destinations for R-Truth could include TNA. He could also continue his music career and acting roles. Meanwhile, several WWE stars reacted to Truth's announcement on Sunday. Rhea Ripley wrote that the news was heartbreaking. Mariah May Gone From AEW, Expected To Sign With WWE Imminently
Mariah May's time with All Elite Wrestling has come to an end. Former Women's World Champion Mariah May hasn't been seen on AEW programming since losing 'The Hollywood Ending' match to Timeless Toni Storm at Revolution back in March. Advertisement Numerous reports and rumors have been prevalent since then regarding May's status with the company. As well as potential interest from WWE after her contract expires. And as the old saying goes, where there's smoke, there's fire. Earlier this afternoon, May was officially removed from the AEW roster page. We now have more information regarding her future with WWE. According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Mariah May is expected to head to WWE imminently after her contract with AEW officially expires. Despite being removed from AEW's roster page, May's management has informed Sapp that her contract with the company has not yet expired. This departure wasn't a surprise to AEW as they were 'well aware' of May's intentions to depart the company for WWE upon the expiration of her contract. Is Mariah May headed to WWE? ‘The Glamour' quietly removed from AEW roster
Mariah May has reportedly parted ways with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as she was quietly removed from the company's roster page. The 26-year-old, who is famously known as 'The Glamour,' is now set to make her World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) debut, according to multiple media reports. Recently, there have been rumours about May's contract with AEW coming to an end. On Friday, May's name was removed from the promotion's website, indicating that her tenure has come to an end, per a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select. Sources told Sapp that May is due to join WWE as soon as her two-year contract with the Florida-based promotion ends. However, she has yet to confirm the news herself. May made her debut with AEW in 2023 as a Toni Storm superfan. However, she went on to defeat 'Timeless,' who was once her ally, at AEW All In London 2024, winning the AEW Women's World Title. She held the title for 174 days before being defeated by Storm at Grand Slam Australia in February 2025. Ahead of the bout, the 29-year-old said of her former protege, 'that she's the champion that I've always wanted to be but never could be, and that's because she does not have a heart.' 'My biggest downfall is that I have too much of a heart, Mariah, you sick b****. I am proud of you, but she will soon realize that that is just not good enough,' she added in a February 12 interview with Fightful. Since failing to reclaim her victory over Storm in the Hollywood Ending match at AEW Revolution 2025, May has remained absent from the wrestling scene. Now her fans await the day she makes her WWE debut.

'Elite' wrestling star quits WWE rivals days before Money In The Bank
WWE are honing in on a major free agent who appears to have quit rivals All Elite Wrestling. Former AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May has been removed from the company's online roster page amid reports she is jumping ship to the sports entertainment giant. The 26-year-old English wrestler, who built her reputation in Japan before reaching new heights in Tony Khan's promotion, seems to be on the move. Usually, a wrestler's removal from the AEW website suggests they're leaving, as fans have seen in recent months with the likes of Aleister Black, Penta, Rey Fenix, Rusev and more. Now, Mariah appears to be the next name, as PWInsider cited WWE sources who expected her to 'start there in the near future'. According to Fightful, management for Mariah – who hasn't appeared since losing her Hollywood Ending match to Toni Storm in March – claim she is still under contract. It's believed to be simply a matter of time before her two-year deal with AEW expires and she signs with WWE. While it's not clear exactly when she becomes a free agent, it's hard to imagine WWE wasting any time putting pen to paper and bringing her on board. Money In the Bank is just days away on June 7, but it could be that her big moment is saved for WWE's all-women's PLE Evolution on July 13, one night after AEW All In. The following year, she signed with AEW and debuted as a 'super fan' of then-world champion Toni Storm. Their two-year story arch – which was inspired by Hollywood classic All About Eve – saw her go from protege to rival in one of modern wrestling's best feuds, including a match at Wembley Stadium. 'The reason I chose AEW was because of this story,' Mariah exclusively told Metro in London last summer. 'I didn't know that I would take it to the lengths I did, I never knew how far it would go. But to be a part of a storyline is always enticing – that's why I got into wrestling.' Meanwhile, fans are excited to see Mariah get to do her thing in WWE after her incredible body of work in AEW.
