WATCH: Ohio State football player, staffer compete in three-point shooting contest
In case you haven't noticed, the Ohio State football program is passing the time during a slow summer by competing in some "June Olympics." It's a competition of different athletic competitions between the OSU staff and the players, and so far it's been a hoot to watch it all go down.
The staff got out to an early lead, but the players won three events in a row to take a 3-1 lead before the older guys trimmed the lead to 3-2. And now, after the latest event, a three-point shooting contest between OSU staffer Matt Guerrieri and wide receiver Bryson Rodgers, things are all tied up.
That's because Guerrieri battled through some suspect shots to bury the one that mattered, giving the staff the win and even the competition at 3-3. If you missed any of the action, get a look at the cliff notes version of what went down on the courts of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
We're not sure when these June Olympics are over, or how many events there are, but it's fun to watch and keep up with, so we'll do our best to stay on top of it. We say, go old guys.

Broncos RB RJ Harvey scores touchdown vs. Cardinals

Now that's how you start a game! The Denver Broncos went 97 yards on their opening drive against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 of NFL preseason on Saturday evening. The four-play drive was capped off by rookie running back RJ Harvey's eight-yard touchdown run: Denver was set up with great field position after back-to-back completions, first a 58-yard pass to tight end Evan Engram, then a 29-yard toss to rookie Pat Bryant. Here's the Engram catch-and-run: The Broncos now lead the Cardinals 7-0 early in the first quarter. Social: Follow Broncos Wire on Facebook and Twitter/X! WATCH: Ohio State defensive coordinator Matt Patricia gets mic'd up at practice

It's a year of a lot of new faces for the Ohio State football team in 2025. Not only did the program lose 15 players to the NFL, but it'll also be ushering in a new offensive and defensive coordinator. On the defensive side of the ball, the guy responsible for the culture there will now be former New England Patriots defensive coordinator and Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia. Most of Buckeye Nation has yet to really get to know Patricia other than a few sound bites and comments made during some of the media opportunities, so there's plenty to still learn. To help you get to know one of the new guys on the block, the Ohio State football creative team mic'd him up so you can get a feel for his personality and how he interacts with the players. He has drawn rave reviews so far this year from the coaching staff and players alike, and maybe you too can see why by watching and listening below. Receiving high praise before the season is one thing, and a great start, but it'll mean nothing if the defense doesn't perform in 2025. Something tells me the Buckeyes will be just fine.
