Emmerdale Kim Tate star warns of 'nasty twist' ahead as soap future confirmed
Kim Tate star Claire King has revealed more about her soap future on Emmerdale. She has been a long-time character on the soap, involved in many big storylines, including Will's death and Caleb trying to overthrow Home Farm.
Most recently, she has been involved in a huge story with Dr Crowley. She had started dating a man called Eddie, before bringing him back to Home Farm to meet Dawn and Joe - with the latter soon realising it was the doctor who she was dating.
Now Claire has opened up about her future on the soap. Speaking about her character's empire, she said: "Caleb has always been a threat,t and Kim knows this in the back of her mind.
She did let him have a piece of land but she basically calls it a vegetable patch, so she's not too worried as far as the land is concerned!
"But if he sides with Moira as a half-Dingle, half-Tate – which he will do, as he'll do anything to go against Kim – then that could be dangerous and there will be gang warfare.
Kim also keeps going on about legacy and I keep saying to Laura Shaw, the show's producer: 'Is she dying?' Let's hope not!"
With the new romance, Kim has only just lost her husband Will Taylor - played by Dean Andrews. Speaking about her new romance with Eddie, she added: "I don't think Kim was particularly ready to move on – it's only been six months since Will died, but it just so happens that she met this chap at York races. He told her that he was a cosmetic surgeon.
"He's very handsome, charming, charismatic and he won't let her pay for anything, which makes a change for Kim!
"She's thinking this could be a relationship in the future. They've met up for a coffee a few times, although Kim was worried about telling Dawn about it and that made her doubt herself. The minute Kim finds out, it'll be more than his back he needs to watch out for! I mean that."
Claire also warned that there would be a nasty twist ahead. She said: "He's very bad and very nasty and he will go to any lengths to get Kim's money – and he kind of does. But there's always a twist."

Louie Spence recalls ‘suffocating' during swimming task on Celebrity SAS
Dancer Louie Spence has recalled how a swimming task on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins left him 'suffocating'. The Channel 4 military-style reality show returned on Sunday and saw 14 new celebrity recruits tasked with plunging 26 feet into the sea before swimming to a passing speed boat. Advertisement Speaking on ITV's Good Morning Britain (GMB), Spence, 56, said: 'It was no good and I thought I'd be good at the swimming task. View this post on Instagram A post shared by SAS: Who Dares Wins (@sas_whodareswins) 'I swim every day, I enjoy swimming, but, you know what it was, you have to put a life jacket on.' 'He (directing staff, Rudy Reyes) went out like a fish in water, with no life jacket. So when you jump in, it gives you a bit of drag. 'And I said to them I want a tight jacket, because I thought I won't get as much drag. Well, I was like suffocating. It was too tight. That's why I didn't make it to the boat.' Advertisement Spence, along with S Club singer Hannah Spearritt, withdrew from the show during the first episode. Spence said: 'The reason I did it (the show) as well, was that I came off my antidepressants six months before I got asked to do the show. 'So I was feeling really strong in mind and physically I thought I was okay. I upped my physicality, so I thought it'd be a challenge to see, not being on like medication, how I deal with this kind of situation, and, in fact, the mental side of it, I felt fine with. 'I wasn't frightened about jumping in the water, all of those kind of things. It was the physical (side). Advertisement 'I just felt as though I didn't have the physical capacity. And I was surrounded by these people who were so enthusiastic, and it was a big team that you had to play with. 'It's all part of being a team. And I didn't feel as though I was going to contribute to being part of that team.' This year's celebrity recruits also include ex-drug mule Michaella McCollum, former footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa, Strictly Come Dancing 2025 runner-up Tasha Ghouri, Traitors winner Harry Clark, rapper Lady Leshurr, boxer Conor Benn, singer Lucy Spraggan, and ex-Love Island contestants Chloe Burrows and Adam Collard. Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins next airs on Channel 4 on Monday at 9pm. Advertisement

ITV The Chase's Mark Labbett hit by health scare on Celebs Go Dating
Mark Labbett dives back into the dating pool in Celebs Go Dating. But one health-related incident led him to experience a terrifying moment behind the scenes of the C4 show. Celebs Go Dating has returned to screens for its 14th series, as the popular reality dating show gets underway. Relationship experts Anna Williamson, Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn and Paul C Brunson are back at the agency. And of course, not forgetting everyone's favourite receptionist, Tom Read Wilson. Among the stars seeking love on Celebs Go Dating is The Chase star Mark Labbett. "I've been single for most of my life," he admits. "I'm a little bit on the spectrum." Mark, famed for his portrayal of The Beast on ITV quiz show The Chase, confesses that interpreting human signals is far more challenging than answering quiz questions. "Facts are easy, people are complicated." A health scare related to diabetes added an extra layer of difficulty to filming for the television star, as reported by the Mirror. "One night, I had a hypoglycaemic attack," he reveals. "I might have been a bit grumpy that night. I apologised to everyone after." Mark explained that a nap on set aided his recovery. However, the real surprise came when the agents asked him to interpret social cues. "I went, 'What do you mean?,'" he recalls. "'You don't notice people's emotions when in the room? ,' and I said no. There was shock on both sides." Meanwhile, Anna Williamson was delighted to return to the Channel 4 reality series. The newest season of Celebs Go Dating has had an exotic twist, as the celebrities embark on their dating adventures with a trip to Ibiza. "Get your popcorn ready," Anna teases. "We have a 'new' agency this series. We've got amazing celebrities who are so different. They each brought such different challenges for us coaches to work on." The new series will welcome some familiar faces from the showbiz world, including Love Island's Olivia Hawkins, Too Hot To Handle's Louis Russell, The Sandman's Donna Preston, and Made In Chelsea's Sam Prince are all set to embark on their journeys alongside Mark. Joining them are television personality and autism advocate Christine McGuinness, singer and reality star Kerry Katona, who is making a comeback to the show after six years, and S Club 7's Jon Lee. "The challenge this year was trying to keep up with the celebrities and their dating prowess," Anna admits. "It was quite challenging to help some of our celebrities unlearn certain behaviours. Some of them didn't know how to even walk into a date and execute it appropriately." Anna, Tara, and Paul will be on hand once more in guiding the celebs as they navigate through their dates, spotting any detrimental patterns. "We let things play out," Anna reveals. "They feel emotional, tearful – that's part of the process. It's a very important part of the work. When we get to our vulnerable side, we start to look at what needs to be done." The journey can be difficult, especially when dealing with high-profile celebs. "With celebrities, they are typically very guarded," Anna highlights. "They've usually lost a bit of faith in the dating world because they've been burnt a lot along the way. Their dating pool tends to be smaller because they tend to date more within their celebrity been burnt by people selling stories or that haven't been dating them for genuine reasons. They can be a bit guarded and jaded." Regarding what lies ahead, Anna holds ambitious expectations for the programme. "Pete Wicks has been on three times, we may as well have Sam (Thompson) on three times," she remarks. However, her true desire is for a reunion. "I would love to do an All Stars version of Celebs Go Dating," she reveals. "Paul and I are always talking about this, because we've had so many celebrities come through our doors. We are always in touch with them."
