Emmerdale fans 'beyond done' with two 'detested' characters
These opinions were expressed about Joe Tate and Dawn Fletcher, who had been involved in an affair storyline in recent months. However, some viewers have grown particularly tired of Joe's involvement in the ITV soap. Taking to the r/Emmerdale Reddit page, one fan captioned a post: "Beyond done with Joe AND Dawn ... can they please just go to Dubai as well and like, never come back??" They added: "Soaps need their villains, I completely understand that. And I love a great villain character and arc. But this "person" - I don't think I've detested a character more. And if that is the goal ... BRAVO Emmerdale! "Frankly he (and Dawn) just make me want to turn off the screen when they are on. I used to just fast forward, but there are storylines that involve other characters now, so I just suffer through LOL. "Honestly, he didn't annoy me this much during his first stint (thank goodness there was Graham); but he is an absolutely horrendous, morally bankrupt, irredeemable, soulless creature." Emmerdale fans criticise "joke character" of Joe Tate Plenty of Emmerdale fans seemed to agree with the original post, sharing their thoughts in the comments. One said: "Joe and Dawn together ruins both of their characters for me. Dawn's main positive trait was that she really cared about her kids and now that's been shattered. Her picking him over her children makes her so unlikeable. "Likewise Joe playing happy families also makes him look irredeemably awful because he obviously has no real care for those kids at all. It's so inauthentic and I can't wait for it to be over." Another shared: "Also they don't have a single spark of attraction or chemistry from day one, definitely doesn't help. "Joe has been a joke character since he came back." One viewer seemed to think Joe's storylines were intended for another character, as they explained: "I honestly think that this story was meant for Jamie (without Dawn arc) but they did not get the actor to come back. "That's why it feels little off joe's character compared what he was. I see Jamie here alot! He was always a whiny little brat!" Another was frustrated by the degradation of Dawn's character, as they wrote: "Didn't Dawn have a 'job'? She used to do something for Home Farm and then she was at Take a Vow (Joe conning an investment/take over). Recommended reading:

Not everyone felt the same, as one viewer defended the need for characters like Joe in the soap. They said: "I like Joe. "You need characters like Joe to drive the plot."

Home on the 18th Hole at Wentworth Golf Club Lists for £13 Million
When Neil Thomas was looking for a house in 1997, the investment banker had very specific requirements. 'I told my wife to buy something within 15 minutes of Heathrow because I was traveling a lot for work, and make sure it has at least five 40-foot trees in the garden,' says Thomas. Coming from South Africa, he says, he was especially keen on ample outdoor space. They found a property that ticked all the family's boxes. Called Home Farm, it's located in the Wentworth Estate in the affluent suburb of Virginia Water, some 12 miles from Heathrow and 24 miles from central London. 'It just had the most wonderful feeling of both being in the country and being so close to London,' he says.

Emmerdale Kim Tate star warns of 'nasty twist' ahead as soap future confirmed
Kim Tate star Claire King is a key part of the Emmerdale cast - and she addressed her own future on the ITV soap amid a dark storyline involving Dr Crowley and Joe Tate Kim Tate star Claire King has revealed more about her soap future on Emmerdale. She has been a long-time character on the soap, involved in many big storylines, including Will's death and Caleb trying to overthrow Home Farm. Most recently, she has been involved in a huge story with Dr Crowley. She had started dating a man called Eddie, before bringing him back to Home Farm to meet Dawn and Joe - with the latter soon realising it was the doctor who she was dating. Now Claire has opened up about her future on the soap. Speaking about her character's empire, she said: "Caleb has always been a threat,t and Kim knows this in the back of her mind. She did let him have a piece of land but she basically calls it a vegetable patch, so she's not too worried as far as the land is concerned! "But if he sides with Moira as a half-Dingle, half-Tate – which he will do, as he'll do anything to go against Kim – then that could be dangerous and there will be gang warfare. Kim also keeps going on about legacy and I keep saying to Laura Shaw, the show's producer: 'Is she dying?' Let's hope not!" With the new romance, Kim has only just lost her husband Will Taylor - played by Dean Andrews. Speaking about her new romance with Eddie, she added: "I don't think Kim was particularly ready to move on – it's only been six months since Will died, but it just so happens that she met this chap at York races. He told her that he was a cosmetic surgeon. "He's very handsome, charming, charismatic and he won't let her pay for anything, which makes a change for Kim! "She's thinking this could be a relationship in the future. They've met up for a coffee a few times, although Kim was worried about telling Dawn about it and that made her doubt herself. The minute Kim finds out, it'll be more than his back he needs to watch out for! I mean that." Claire also warned that there would be a nasty twist ahead. She said: "He's very bad and very nasty and he will go to any lengths to get Kim's money – and he kind of does. But there's always a twist."
