Want to watch the Avatar: Fire and Ash trailer? Here's what you need to do

We are approximately five months away from returning to Pandora in Avatar: Fire and Ash. Besides a few posters and concept art, Disney's 20th Century Studios has not released many promotional materials for the third Avatar movie. That changes this week with the arrival of the Fire and Ash trailer. However, you'll need to head to the theater to watch.
In a post on Avatar's X account, it was revealed that the trailer for Avatar: Fire and Ash will run exclusively in theaters this weekend before screenings of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The post includes an image of Varang, a new character introduced in the film.

Avatar: Fire and Ash is using a similar tactic employed by Universal, who paired the teaser trailer of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey before showings of Jurassic Park Rebirth.

The first footage from Fire and Ash ran at CinemaCon in April. Since then, select press members have seen the trailer at Fantastic Four screenings. According to Entertainment Weekly, the trailer primarily focused on the Mangkwan Clan, a new Na'vi clan known as the Ash people. Varang, played by Oona Chaplin, is the leader of the Ash Clan, who inhabit the land near an active volcano.
The Mangkwan Clan is not friendly. They soon come into conflict with Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and their family. EW reports that the footage shows Neytiri firing arrows at the Ash Clan, while Varang holds a flamethrower.
Avatar creator James Cameron previously stated that he wanted to blur the lines between good and evil by introducing a darker portrayal of the Na'vi.
'Varang is the leader of a people who have gone through an incredible hardship. She's hardened by that,' Cameron explained. 'One thing we wanted to do in this film is not black-and-white simplistic. We're trying to evolve beyond the 'all humans are bad, all Na'vi are good' paradigm.''
The trailer also previews another Na'vi clan, the Wind Traders, a more peaceful group who float on gigantic creatures in the clouds. Plus, the RDA remains a top threat to the Na'vi.
Avatar: Fire and Ash is the third film in the franchise, following 2009's Avatar and 2022's Avatar: The Way of Water, two of the three highest-grossing films of all time. Avatar ranks first at $2.9 billion, and The Way of Water is third with $2.3 billion.
Avatar: Fire and Ash opens in theaters on December 19, 2025. Two more Avatar sequels are in development. Avatar 4 is slated for December 2029, and Avatar 5 is scheduled for December 2031.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2: Release date, cast updates and what to expect next

By Aman Shukla Published on July 28, 2025, 18:00 IST Last updated July 28, 2025, 18:09 IST Hell's Kitchen is about to get even hotter. Daredevil: Born Again is officially coming back for Season 2, and after that cliffhanger-packed Season 1 finale, fans are dying to see what's next. With more action, deeper drama, and a few surprise faces along the way, Marvel's street-level saga is ramping up to deliver another knockout season. Here's everything we know so far—from when it's dropping to who's back (and who's new), plus a look at what might be coming in Matt Murdock's next gritty chapter. When Is Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Coming Out? Mark your calendars— Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is slated to premiere on Disney+ in March 2026. That's a quick turnaround from Season 1's March 2025 debut, keeping fans hooked without the usual long wait. Production wrapped in July 2025 after kicking off in February, promising a tight eight-episode run packed with intense drama. Unlike Season 1's nine episodes, this season trims one episode but doubles down on stakes, with whispers of a darker, more thrilling story. Who's Back in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Cast? Season 2 is bringing back most of the fan-favorite cast, plus some fresh blood to shake things up in Hell's Kitchen. Returning Faces: Charlie Cox is back as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, now rocking a sleek black suit straight out of the 'Shadowland' comics. He's hinted this season contains some of his favorite Daredevil scripts yet. Vincent D'Onofrio returns as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin—now the mayor of New York and more dangerous than ever. Deborah Ann Woll reprises her role as Karen Page. This time, she's got a bold red wig and an expanded arc that fans are buzzing about. Elden Henson is also back as Foggy Nelson. Yes, even after what happened in Season 1—he's expected to appear through emotional flashbacks. Wilson Bethel's Bullseye is back, now fully suited up with the iconic target logo. He's unstable, deadly, and definitely not done causing chaos. Ayelet Zurer returns as Vanessa Fisk, putting any recasting rumors to rest. Her dynamic with Kingpin looks like it'll get even more complex. You'll also see Margarita Levieva, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson , and Michael Gandolfini back in their roles, continuing the grounded, street-level stories. Jon Bernthal's Punisher shows up too, though in a smaller role, possibly as a lead-in to a spin-off special. And the big surprise? Krysten Ritter is back as Jessica Jones , officially folding her Netflix antihero into the Disney+ Marvel universe. Royce Johnson and Susan Varon , familiar faces from the Netflix era, are also back—helping keep that gritty tone fans loved. Camila Rodriguez is appearing as Angela del Toro, niece of the original White Tiger. Expect some vigilante legacy threads. Newcomers: Matthew Lillard joins the show in a morally complex role that's still under wraps. Based on his past work, expect something unpredictable. Lili Taylor plays the Governor of New York and a major political threat to Fisk—yes, things are getting political. Sydney Parra, Annie Parisse, and James Armstrong have all been spotted on set, though their roles are still a mystery. What Can Fans Expect from Season 2? Season 2 picks up right after Fisk's power play at the end of Season 1, with New York under martial law thanks to his Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Matt Murdock is fully embracing his Daredevil identity again—and this time, he's not holding back. Here's what's brewing: Daredevil vs Kingpin 2.0: This rivalry is now political, personal, and brutal. With Fisk in the mayor's seat, Matt is fighting not just crime, but the entire system. Bullseye Unleashed: Bethel's return means more chaos, and his upgraded comic-accurate suit suggests he's not just back—he's ready to wreak havoc. Jessica Jones x Daredevil: The crossover we didn't know we needed. Their personalities clash, but both have a deep respect for justice—expect tension, team-ups, and maybe a few philosophical fights. The 'Shadowland' Vibes: Matt's black suit and some cryptic comments from D'Onofrio have fans thinking we might see elements of the Shadowland storyline, where Daredevil wrestles with darker leadership—possibly even taking over The Hand. Political Intrigue Meets Street Brawls: With Lili Taylor's governor going toe-to-toe with Fisk and Lillard's mystery character stirring the pot, the show's scale is expanding without losing its street-level heart. Flashbacks and Heartbreak: Foggy's return—even if only in memories—promises to pack an emotional punch. Karen's arc will dig deeper into her resilience and relationship with Matt. And yes—this season isn't just setting up the next fight. Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum has teased long-term plans, even throwing around words like 'Season 3' and 'Season infinity.' So Daredevil's just getting started. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication . Should Netflix Be More Like Walt Disney?

Key Points Netflix is opening Netflix Houses in select U.S. cities, which will bring its popular shows and movies to life. Disney is second-to-none when it comes to physical experiences, a segment that rakes in substantial profits. Netflix dominates the current media landscape, so a major shift in strategy isn't necessary. 10 stocks we like better than Netflix › In the past decade, Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) shares have soared 955%. Just this year (as of July 23), they are up 32%. With this type of stellar performance, it seems the business can do no wrong. However, there is one area Netflix has yet to tap: Theme parks. The company has become a dominant media and entertainment enterprise, but it's presence in the physical world is nonexistent. This puts Netflix behind a peer like Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS), which owns and operates seven of the 10 most visited theme parks on the face of the planet. Not to mention the cruise ships that Disney also has. Maybe Netflix is staring at an obvious opportunity here to grow its revenue and fan base. Should the top streaming stock become more like the House of Mouse? Here's how investors should view this situation from a strategic and financial perspective. Creating a flywheel Disney has unmatched intellectual property (IP), which helps support its flywheel. People might watch a new Marvel movie or series and immediately want to experience these characters in real life, so they visit Walt Disney World to ride the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster. They might also buy merchandise. It's a situation where all the pieces fortify Disney's competitive position, allowing it to develop deeper and longer-lasting connections with its fans. Creating physical experiences can help Netflix bolster its brand in the same way. For what it's worth, the company plans to launch Netflix Houses in Dallas and Philadelphia this year, and in Las Vegas in 2027. These are permanent, but small-format (about 100,000 square feet) setups located in shopping malls. There are interactive experiences, dining options, and retail stores. It's encouraging to see Netflix test the waters when it comes to physical experiences. It might not have the breadth and depth of IP that Disney has, especially when it comes to content for kids and families, but it has extremely popular shows and movies that people love. It's probably best that Netflix isn't going full steam ahead with building an actual theme park, as it likely won't be able to compete with Disney's dominance, or with Comcast's Universal Studios. Financial implications When making these kinds of strategic decisions, what matters most is the potential they can have for financial success. Disney's Experiences segment is its most profitable. In fiscal 2024 (ended Sept. 28, 2024), this division raked in $9.3 billion in operating income on $34.2 billion in revenue. Netflix reported $6.9 billion in free cash flow in 2024, with a forecast to bring in between $8 billion and $8.5 billion this year. Investing in building out theme parks would require huge capital expenditure commitments that would certainly dent Netflix's strong financial position. Return on invested capital is a key metric that management teams should think about when allocating cash to its best use. Developing physical experiences at Disney's level would take resources away from creating top-notch content that the company is known for. In September 2023, Disney announced that it was going to spend $60 billion over the next decade to expand its Experiences segment. That's a massive undertaking that Netflix can avoid. Netflix is doing just fine The media industry, which is now being driven by the streaming model, is extremely competitive. There are many businesses vying for viewer attention, so it's always important to figure out ways of standing out. But Netflix reigns supreme, with more than 300 million subscribers worldwide. It's operating from a position of strength with the upcoming launch of Netflix Houses. Netflix doesn't need to be more like Disney. The former continues to fire on all cylinders. The opposite argument holds more weight, with Disney needing to be more like Netflix -- at least when it comes to the House of Mouse's streaming segment that just became profitable not too long ago. Anthony Anderson 'Regrets' If 2003 Lindsay Lohan Interview 'Intended as Comedy' Was in 'Poor Taste'

Anthony Anderson is apologizing for a 2003 interview with a then-17-year-old Lindsay Lohan that has resurfaced to backlash on social media in recent days. In the clip, when Anderson guest hosted The Sharon Osbourne Show, the comedian makes a number of comments that are being criticized on social media. In particular, after Lohan references that she's a minor by saying she's 'illegal, for people that are old,' Anderson says, 'Some men like them young. We ain't gonna mention no names, but I'm one of them.' He then laughs. He regrets if the humor was in poor taste and maintains the utmost respect for Lindsay. Any implication to the contrary is both inaccurate and potentially defamatory.' The comments about Lohan's age come after she talks about how she recently moved in with fellow Disney star and friend Raven-Symoné. He asks Lohan about their living situation and how they're adjusting as roommates, and gives her a pink satin pillow with his face on it, after she references her decor. He then asks: 'What gentlemen will be at the new pad with you and Raven-Symoné?' 'No one. I don't have a boyfriend,' Lohan says, before Anderson adds: 'She's single, but looking!' It's here that Lohan explains her age and Anderson replies with the 'like them young' remark, after which he laughs. Later, throwing to a commercial break, Anderson highlights that Freaky Friday is out on DVD that day, and jokes, 'right now, we're about to get our freak on' as he appears to give her a hug as she covers her mouth with her hand. Elsewhere in the interview, Anderson recalls how his kids enjoy watching her in Parent Trap and marvels that despite her 'sophistication' she's 'only 17.' They also talk about her learning to drive and growing up on Long Island and her then-upcoming movie Mean Girls as well as their respective awkward run-ins with Osbourne and Dyan Cannon, in Anderson's case. The interview has resurfaced as Lohan is promoting her Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday, which sees the actress reunite with co-star Jamie Lee Curtis. Freakier Friday hits theaters on Aug. 8.
