Rapper T-Hood, aka Tevin Hood, was shot and killed at his Georgia home, TMZ has confirmed. Gwinnett County police responded to reports of a dispute that ended in a fatal shooting on Friday evening in Snellville, near Atlanta. The investigation is ongoing, and one person has been detained, according to reports.
After a 911 call, first responders reached the scene and treated the rapper before rushing him to a nearby hospital, where he tragically Succumbed to injuries. The case is being investigated as a homicide, though the motive remains unclear. His mother, Yulanda, confirmed his death to the outlet on August 9, denying reports that there was a party inside the house at the time. Police say one person was taken into custody for questioning. T-Hood was a popular name in the Southern rap scene, with tracks like 'READY 2 GO,' 'Big Booty,' and 'Perculator.' His last Instagram post was about a week ago.

According to Channel 2 Action News, the shooting happened at nearly 7 p.m. at a home on Lee Road in Lilburn, situated right outside of Atlanta. Police responded after calls about a domestic fight that turned violent. When they arrived, they found Hood with several gunshot wounds, bleeding profusely. The police are still investigating and have not given more information about what caused the fight or who else might be involved. T-Hood's family confirmed his death to local news, and many fans and other musicians have shared their condolences on social media.
Hood's music producer Deedotwill paid tribute on Instagram, writing, 'We was just on the phone all day. I can't believe you are gone. REST IN PEACE T-HOOD. I LOVE YOU BROTHER.' Known for his unique voice and rising presence in Atlanta's underground hip-hop scene, Hood had built a loyal fan base. Soon after the news broke, fans flooded social media with tributes. One wrote on X: 'I just started listening to bro music :( Rip T-Hood.' Another said: 'I just woke up to the news man I do not want to believe it,' while a third posted: 'They always take the best ones, your light was too mofo bright for this lame a** world!'

T-Hood was dating Kelsie Frost at the time of his death. Kelsie is the daughter of reality star Kirk Frost. Minutes after the news broke, she took to social media to mourn the loss. 'First off I've been advised not to speak up by plenty of parties. I can't sit back and let this narrative being created go on. The love of my life is GONE. the man I lay with and cuddle every single night…is no longer here,' she wrote. 'I want to ask for respect and privacy I won't because I will always defend my baby. I don't condone this s*** in anyway shape form, or fashion. I am sick to my stomach. I don't wish this on any one. My brain is all over the place, this is a total nightmare but I'm gonna get this off. I don't even have time to grieve or say my respects in the right manner because I am defending myself, being attacked by people who are creating weird and sick rumors.'
His death happened just weeks after he posted a strange comedy video on Instagram where he dressed like a ghost in a cemetery. Some fans now find that video eerie and rumours have been circulating since. Gwinnett County police have asked anyone who knows anything about the shooting to come forward and help them figure out what led to this tragic event.
