Police investigating after car crash closes Midlands road
The smash took place on Long Lane in the Halesowen area of Dudley.
West Midlands Police said it was called to the scene at 12.40pm today.

West Midlands Fire Service also sent two crews from Haden Cross and Woodgate Valley fire stations.
No one was seriously injured and police said enquiries are continuing.
The road was taped off while emergency services attended the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service said fire crews were called to the scene of the crash on Long Lane at 12.57pm.
"Two crews attended from Haden Cross and Woodgate Valley."
The spokesperson added fire crews left the scene with police.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police added: "We were called to Long Lane in Halesowen at 12.40pm after a collision involving two vehicles.
"No one is believed to have been seriously injured, and enquiries are ongoing.
"The drivers have been spoken and enquiries continue."

A solicitor from Bolton has hatched a new scheme to get people moving, while giving them the chance to win some cash. Chris Hutchinson runs Inson Legal, a personal injury firm based on Silverwell Street in the town centre. The 39-year-old has been in the industry for 15 years, but set up his own firm just this year. Given health is very much relevant to his business, Chris is doing his bit to improve people's with a new initiative. With 'Money Stones', he writes codes on the underside of stones, scatters them around a public area, and then the first person to send him the code from each stone wins a cash prize. He said: "I'm a personal injury solicitor, so I see people who get injured all the time. Those who haven't been active take longer to recover and rehabilitate. "I was thinking of a way to get people outdoors and off the screens, and out in nature particularly as that is therapeutic, as it is easy to get SKD into being on a screen these days." And that is where the idea for Money Stones was born. Chris ran the first event in Moss Bank Park last month and had a great reaction. Prizes ranged from £20 to £100 per stone. "I did it last month for the first time and it was good, quite a lot of young families were doing it. "The stones are in a hidden location and anyone who finds one and gets in touch through the website, gets paid." If a child finds a stone, they just need to tell a parent and then Chris will be able to transfer the money to the parent's account. This month's money stones will be released on Sunday, August 17 at 11am on Chris' website here: Chris added: "I have been a solicitor for six years and in the industry for 15 years, but I set my own law firm up this year. "Because I'm in control, I thought this would be a good way of getting people outdoors and exercising. "At most we will have eight winners, but if 50 or 60 people get outdoors it's a winner for me, as they are out exercising and being active." Burglar who raided chainsaw storage unit banned from Cumbria until he is sentenced
A BURGLAR who admitted raiding a storage container in Keswick where high-value chain saws were being kept has been granted bail. Samuel Heys, 31, committed the offence on August 11 after travelling to the area from his home in Barnard Castle, Carlisle's Rickergate court heard. He pleaded guilty to burglary with intent to steal. The defendant's lawyer Geoff Lockerbie said Heys should be granted bail because a co-defendant who denies the same allegation has been freed. Heys' vehicle had been detained by the police and is likely to be crushed, said the lawyer. After considering the case, magistrates granted the defendant bail on condition that the stays out of Cumbria unless he has a pre-arranged visit with his solicitor. He will return to the court on September 5 to be sentenced. Heys' address was given as High Riggs, Barnard Castle, County Durham.

Teenager denies kidnapping and robbing 'urban explorers'
A TEENAGER has denied taking part in the "terrifying" robbery and false imprisonment of four 'urban explorers' at a derelict property a Gilsland. At Carlisle's Rickergate court, the 17-year-old – who cannot be named for legal reasons – formally entered not guilty pleas to three allegations of robbery and four counts of kidnapping or falsely imprisoning the alleged victims. Magistrates were given a detailed outline of the allegations by prosecutor Peter Kelly. He said the alleged victims were so-called 'urban explorers,' who say they were confronted by a group of males, including the defendant, on July 26 as they were looking around the large derelict building at Gilsland. In a statement, one spoke of being "terrified." It is alleged there were up to four males involved and that the defendant at one point used a baseball bat to attack one of the victims, repeatedly striking him on the legs before robbing him, taking his phone, tobacco and lighter. Magistrates ruled that the case can be dealt with at the city's Rickergate court, and they set a provisional trial date of September 25. In the meantime, the teenager, who was represented by defence lawyer Sean Harkin, was remanded in a secure youth detention facility. Throughout the hearing, the defendant's father and cousin were in the court. The defendant spoke only to confirm that he understood the hearing and to confirm his personal details. The youth appeared before the court via a prison video link.
