After Chris Martin Caught A Couple Allegedly "Having An Affair" At His Coldplay Concert, The Internet Immediately Went Into Joke Mode

Yahoo4 days ago
If you've been online in the past 24 hours, then you've probably heard some rumblings about an incident that occurred at a Coldplay concert.
But if you aren't familiar, let's play a quick game of catch-up: During a Wednesday show at the Gillette Stadium in Boston, the venue cameras randomly highlighted various audience members by showcasing them on the jumbotron, just like at sporting events.
But things took a turn when a man was captured holding a woman from behind, as they both smiled and swayed to the music. What looked like a sweet moment quickly became awkward once they realized they were on the big screen. The two instantly separated, with the woman covering her face and turning in the opposite direction, while the man attempted to crouch down, out of the camera's view.

When Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin, first spotted them, he sweetly announced, "Aww, look at these two." But when they went their separate ways, he playfully added, "Uh oh, what? Either they're having an affair or they're just really shy."
The two were later identified on social media as Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the AI and data firm's chief HR officer, Kristin Cabot. While the alleged affair, let alone the status of their relationship outside of the workplace, has yet to be confirmed, it was revealed that Andy is married with two kids, while Kristin finalized her divorce in 2022.
A purported apology statement from Andy began floating around the internet, but it has since been ruled as "fake."
And in true X (better known as Twitter) fashion, people online couldn't help but make jokes out of the situation:

Pete Davidson Says It's 'Been My Dream' to Become a Dad in First Comments Since Elsie Hewitt Announced She's Expecting

Pete Davidson is one 'happy' future father. 'I'm very lucky and very, very happy,' Davidson, 31, told E! News at the New York City premiere of his new film, The Home, on Tuesday, July 22. The statement marked the Saturday Night Live star's first comments since his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, announced on July 16 that they are going to have their first baby together. Davidson told the outlet he is looking forward to 'being able to take care of something and show it the childhood I didn't have." "I assume you just try to give them what you didn't have, and what you didn't like, not do it,' he said. It's the best thing you'll ever do in your life.' " He added that Sandler 'gave me some great advice." 'It's been really nice that everyone's super excited,' Davidson continued. Davidson and Hewitt, 29, have been linked since March, when they were seen together in Palm Beach, Fla. Two months later, a source told PEOPLE they moved in together. Then, on July 16, Hewitt confirmed they are expecting when she shared a gallery of photos on Instagram that included a picture of a sonogram. 'Welp now everyone knows we had sex,' Hewitt captioned the post. 'They're both very nurturing people and are very, very happy together and to be starting a family,' an insider told PEOPLE last week. "They've been sharing privately with loved ones, and it's a really sweet time after everything Pete has overcome. He's so excited. He's always wanted to be a dad." A second source told PEOPLE that the couple are 'happy and cannot wait to welcome their baby' and that Davidson has 'grown up a lot, and he's so excited about this next chapter as a dad." Davidson's latest movie, The Home, is a horror film directed by James DeMonaco. It hits theaters on Friday, July 25, and also stars John Glover and Bruce Altman. Read the original article on People

‘The Voice' Gets Rid of One Major Thing for Season 29

'The Voice' Gets Rid of One Major Thing for Season 29 originally appeared on Parade. The Voice revealed exciting news for its 29th season today. It is returning with a new format, and the season will be labeled The Voice: Battle of Champions. As part of the new format, it will only feature three fan-favorite coaches, rather than the usual four: Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine, all of whom have at least one win to their name. Buried in the release was the announcement that the semi-finals, which include the Top 9, and the finale, featuring the Top 4, will be voted on by a new voting block. The group will be comprised of super fans, including former Voice artists, who will be in the audience and also get to vote for their favorite as part of the in-studio audience voting. But bottom line, what that means is that there will be no live shows and no voting by America. Other changes to the format for the season are: 🎤 SIGN UP for our The Voice newsletter to get access to exclusive news, interviews, insider info, sneak peeks & more🎤 Blind Auditions Coaches compete against each other in the 'Triple Turn Competition' (vying for the most three-chair turns), with the winner gaining a special advantage in the next round. The difference for this season is that the teams will be comprised of only 10 artists, rather than 14, making it necessary for the coaches to be pickier in their selections. Battles The coach with the most three-chair turns automatically earns a 'Super Steal' for the Battles. This coveted prize can only be used once and trumps any other coach's attempt to steal, guaranteeing a win. Knockouts Each coach brings back two fan-favorite artists from their teams in previous seasons to compete in an 'In-Season All-Star Competition.' All-stars represent their former coaches as they battle in head-to-head sing-offs. The coach with the most sing-off wins is guaranteed a second finalist in the finale. For this special episode, coaches call upon original Voice coach CeeLo Green to sit in on the competition and determine the winner of each All-Star Showdown. Related: The concept of superfans voting is not new to NBC. It was employed by another competition show, America's Got Talent: The Champions. It remains to be seen how it works for The Voice. The return of Clarkson in one of the red swivel chairs is a plus. She brought a lot of joy to her seasons as a coach, which came to an end when The Kelly Clarkson Show was moved from Los Angeles to filming in New York City. Possibly because of the new format, it became workable for her to juggle her schedule to film both shows concurrently. But before all this happens in Spring 2026, Season 28 of The Voice will return this fall with coaches Reba McEntire, Niall Horan,Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé. The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Streams next day on Peacock.
