Gisele Bündchen Gives Motherhood Update After New Baby
Gisele Bündchen is back in her new mom era and feeling better than ever.
In February, the supermodel welcomed a new baby boy with her boyfriend of nearly two years, Joaquim Valente. She already shares two children, 15-year-old Benjamin and 12-year-old Vivian, with her ex-husband, Tom Brady, whom she divorced in October 2022 after nearly 14 years of marriage.
Gisele also counts Tom's 17-year-old son Jack, whom he shares with Bridget Moynahan, as her 'bonus' child.
Since her pregnancy made headlines in October 2024, Gisele has maintained a pretty low profile. She's yet to confirm the new baby's name, but earlier this month, she celebrated Mother's Day on Instagram by sharing the first photographs of her baby boy, along with a heartfelt caption in which she explained that she's been 'very busy living life.'
'Sometimes, the most beautiful moments aren't shared — they're simply lived,' she wrote in tribute to 'all the mothers out there.' 'Lately, I've been embracing the slower rhythms, the real connections, the beauty in the lessons that come with being present.'
Now, Gisele has taken a moment out of her family bubble to stun on the cover of French Vogue (as you do), and in an accompanying interview, she answered a few questions about this new phase of her life, which she said is all about 'being with [her] family.'
'Now that my little one is sleeping through the night, I'm back in control of my routine,' she said in response to a question about 'independence.' 'As any new mom knows, it's incredible how much sleep—or lack of it—can change everything! But once again, I feel truly grateful: being able to be home with my kids and enjoy every moment with them is priceless.'
'It's nice to see everyone again after this break,' she said of returning to modeling after her break. 'Getting my hair and makeup done feels like I'm on vacation: with a baby, the nights are so short that I've barely brushed my hair in the last few months!'
Of course, a lot has changed in Gisele's life in the last few years since her divorce from Tom — something she previously described as 'the death of [her] dream.' 'You give everything you got to achieve your dream,' she told Vanity Fair in March 2023. 'You give a hundred percent of yourself, and it's heartbreaking when it doesn't end up the way you hoped for, and worked for, but you can only do your part.'
Flash forward to today, and it sounds like she's finally happier than ever. 'I feel more comfortable in my own skin and have a clearer understanding of my priorities,' she told Vogue. 'I'm grateful for where I am. I feel like I've earned it.'

'I never thought we'd come this far, I never thought we'd achieve so much and I've never been prouder of my mum – she got me through it.' Christie Brinkley opens up about raising kids in the spotlight: 'The toughest'
Christie Brinkley is getting candid about the challenges of motherhood, particularly when raising children in the public eye. In a new episode of the " Totally Booked with Zibby" podcast that aired Tuesday, the model and mother of three reflected on one of the most difficult aspects of fame, which she said includes protecting her kids from public criticism. "Having kids is probably one of the areas that's the toughest. Dealing with a certain amount of celebrity and the scrutiny that goes along with it is hard," Brinkley said. "When that overlaps and they start scrutinizing your kids and comparing? That really hurts. Really." Brinkley shares daughter Alexa Ray Joel, 38, with ex-husband Billy Joel. She is also mom to son Jack Paris Brinkley-Cook, 30, whom she welcomed with ex-husband Richard Taubman, and daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook, 26, whom she shares with ex-husband Peter Cook. "It's the one thing that I can say has been the biggest bummer of being famous, because you never want what you are doing to hurt anybody," Brinkley continued. "And Alexa really got hurt by things that the media would say about her and continued to say about her through the years. It was really hard on her, and I think it's really hard." Brinkley noted that her two younger children faced their own unique pressures. "My other two came 10 years later, and Sailor, who got compared to me for looking like me, had difficulty with that, because she struggled with her weight," she said. "She dabbled in modeling, but she didn't really love it. It wasn't her thing, but when she was younger and she dabbled in it, she thought, 'Now I have to look like a model, and I have to lose weight.'" "But it was rough on her too, and she got an eating disorder, and she got anorexic -- and it's just tough," she added. To help shield her kids from negativity, Brinkley said she encourages them to avoid reading online comments and criticism altogether. "I try and say to them, 'Don't even read the press, for starters,'" she said. "And not even just the press, but the letters people write, although I must say, I think we have a very nice group of people in our Instagram." She also pushed back against the "nepo baby" label often attached to her eldest daughter, who is a singer-songwriter and pianist like her father. "I say to Alexa, 'If they say you're a nepo baby because you sing, do they say to the kid whose dad owns the hardware store and he takes over the hardware store, that he's a nepo baby?'" Brinkley said. "It's like a family business! Like, you grew up on a sound stage or on the edge of a Madison Square Garden stage." "'Nepo baby' is just a term that means your parents were in showbiz, so run with it. Who cares?" she added.

The Beach Boys pay tribute to Brian Wilson — the ‘soul' of their sound
The Beach Boys paid tribute to co-founder and musical genius Brian Wilson Wednesday after his family announced his death — calling him the 'soul' of their surf rock sound. 'The world mourns a genius today, and we grieve for the loss of our cousin, our friend, and our partner in a great musical adventure,' the Beach Boys wrote on their official Instagram account. 'Brian Wilson wasn't just the heart of The Beach Boys—he was the soul of our sound. The melodies he dreamed up and the emotions he poured into every note changed the course of music forever.'
