Ramón Laureano homered off Clayton Kershaw (7-2) to give the Padres a 1-0 lead in the first. He sent a hanging curveball 400 feet into left where it hit the foul pole.
Dodgers reliever Alex Vesia hit Jose Iglesias and Jake Cronenworth back-to-back and walked Fernando Tatis Jr. to load the bases in the eighth. Luis Arraez's sacrifice fly cut it to 3-2.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Blake Snell limited his former team to five hits in six innings, and the Los Angeles Dodgers regained the NL West lead with a 6-0 victory over the San Diego Padres on Saturday night. The Dodgers drew six walks over the first two innings against Padres right-hander Dylan Cease, when they scored five runs on just one hit. Teoscar Hernandez hit his 20th homer of the season in the fifth inning.
