Mavi Garcia's aggressive approach paid off as the Spaniard became the oldest stage winner of the Tour de France Femmes.
The Liv-AlUla-Jayco cyclist boldly opted for a solo break with 10km remaining and opened up a gap of around 20 seconds to the chasing peloton.
Garcia held her nerve through the final climb of the 110.4km between Brest and Quimper to seal the first stage victory of her career.
At 41 years, six months and 25 days, Garcia is the oldest competitor on this year's Tour and her feat surpassed Annemiek van Vleuten's record - set in 2022 when she was 39 - as the event's oldest stage winner.
Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes finished second, while Kim Le Court Pienaar of Mauritius took third place and the overall leader's yellow jersey from Marianne Vos.
Monday's third stage takes place between La Gacilly and Angers and covers 163.5km.

Derrick White on Las Vegas Summer League, Olympics with his Boston Celtics teammates

The second episode of Boston Celtics point guard Derrick White is out. In the newest episode of the "White Noise" podcast, the University of Colorado - Boulder alum and his cohost Welsh took a deep dive into what White did last summer at the 2024 Paris Olympics on his way to winning a gold medal with the US National Team (and how he missed his own epic birthday bash in Baja California to do it). They also touch on Las Vegas Summer League and what it is like to play in it vs. attend as an established player or fan in the bleachers, meeting Deion Sanders at a Buffaloes game, and even a premature welcome for now-traded forward Georges Niang to the Celtics. They even get into the fact that White still has never gotten a technical foul in the NBA, and why at least one of his teammates in Boston won't fully respect him until he does. Check it out below! US winger Tim Weah returns to French soccer with move from Juventus to Marseille

United States winger Tim Weah completed his move to Marseille on Wednesday after an inconsistent two-year stint at Juventus. The 25-year-old Weah's return to Ligue 1 will initially be on loan with an obligation to buy for a fee that could rise to 18 million euros ($21 million), according to French media reports. Weah's father, former FIFA Player of the Year George Weah, played one season at Marseille — 25 years ago near the end of his playing career. Marseille qualified for the Champions League by finishing as runner-up to Paris Saint-Germain last season. Neither Marseille nor Juventus disclosed financial details of Weah's move. In 78 total appearances for the Bianconeri, Weah scored seven goals, six of which came last season. He spent four seasons at Lille, which won the Ligue 1 title in 2021, before switching to Juventus in 2023. The New York-born Weah has scored seven goals in 44 appearances for the United States, including a goal at the 2022 World Cup in a 1-1 draw with Wales. ___ AP soccer:
