Man from Newton Mearns raped woman and fractured her skull

Christopher McDonald repeatedly tormented his victim leaving her traumatised by her ordeal. The attacks included the 45 year-old raping her and also fracturing her skull when he discovered she was in a new relationship. The woman was known to McDonald. The crimes mainly occurred in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire. The first offender had denied the accusations during a trial at the High Court in Glasgow. But, jurors found him guilty of a total of three charges. READ MORE: Thug knocked out three of teen's teeth with one punch He was convicted of engaging in a course of abusive behaviour which included violently having sex with the woman "without her consent" in August 2022 and punching her on the face the same day. The other charges were two counts of acting in a threatening manner. Describing the most serious incidents, Judge Douglas Brown today told McDonald: "In the early hours, you awoke her from her sleep and got into bed beside her. "She got out and tried to get out the room, but you grabbed her. "You pinned her down on the bed and raped her." The hearing was told McDonald, of Newton Mearns, also East Renfrewshire, flew into a rage again later that day when he found out the woman was seeing someone else. He added the victim had been abused in her own home "where she was entitled to feel safe". The judge told McDonald: "Your behaviour has caused her substantial and enduring psychological harm. McDonald was put on the sex offenders list and banned from going near the woman - both for an indefinite period. Gary Allan KC, defending, said the attacker maintained his innocence. A clutch of testimonials from those who knew McDonald had earlier been given to Judge Brown. The advocate added McDonald's life was also in "tatters" whatever the jail-term would be.

Incredible moment Bridgerton star FIGHTS thief who took her phone before tackling him to cafe floor & grabbing it back

THIS is the incredible moment a Bridgerton star fought off a thief who swiped her mobile in a cafe. Zacariah Boulares swiped the device from Genevieve Chenneour as she sat in Joe & The Juice in Kensington, South West London. 7 Zacariah Boulares was captured stealing the star's mobile Credit: Met Police 7 Genevieve Chenneour fought back against the thief Credit: Met Police 7 The star was targeted while sitting in a coffee shop Credit: Instagram The brave actress, who played Clara Livingston in the third season of the Netflix period drama, bravely attempted to stop the teen escaping. Astonishing footage from police shows Genevieve grabbing Boulares' shoulder as she realises her phone has been taken. She then tackles the serial thief to the ground with the help of another customer. Genevieve managed to take her phone back from Boulares before repeatedly hitting him with it in the posh cafe. She previously claimed she suffered a concussion in the horror in February and said even her dog was "traumatised". The star added: "They didn't expect me to stand up for myself – but I did." Algerian national Boulares previously pleaded guilty to stealing the phone. The teen also admitted common assault against fellow Joe and the Juice customer Carlo Kurcishi, who had stepped in to help. Boulares pleaded guilty to a separate charge of theft after he swiped a black leather hand bag from a diner at a pizza restaurant. The court heard he has 12 previous convictions for a total of 28 offences - all relating to theft. His rap sheet includes threatening to cut off Aled Jones' arm while stealing his £17,000 Rolex. The Songs of Praise presenter, 52, was out with his son Lucas when he was targeted near their home in Chiswick, South West London. Boulares - then aged 16 - pulled out 20 inch machete and repeatedly threatened Aled in a bid to steal the luxury timepiece. He told him: "Give me your f***king Rolex or I will cut your arm off." Aled handed over the £17,000 Rolex Daytona watch rather than fight with the armed robber. He and his son bravely followed the 6ft teen but when he spotted them, he snarled: "Walk the other way or I will cut your head off." Boulares was given a two year training and detention order after pleading guilty to robbery at Ealing Youth Court. But he was released from youth detention early after serving just 14 months of his 24-month sentence. He will be sentenced for robbing Genevieve on June 17 at Isleworth Crown Court. As well as Bridgerton, Genevieve appeared in historical film 1242: Gateway To The West. She is also a former professional athlete who represented Team GB at the Baku 2015 European Games in Artistic swimming events. 7 Genevieve tackled the thief to the ground Credit: Met Police 7 The actress appeared in season three of Bridgerton 7 Genevieve claimed she was left with a concussion Credit: Instagram

I was 15 when my nude pics were leaked – grown men sent them around at the football club & everyone blamed ME

NOT KIDDING I was 15 when my nude pics were leaked – grown men sent them around at the football club & everyone blamed ME Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) LIKE many young girls, Jess Davies wanted to impress her school crush and decided to send him an explicit photo of herself. Little did the 15-year-old know that he would send it around the school and she would become a victim of image abuse. Image-based sexual abuse is a criminal offence, it's when someone takes, shares, or threatens to share sexually explicit images or videos of a person without their knowledge or consent, and with the aim of causing them distress or harm. This can include digitally altered images, also known as 'deepfakes' - something Jess has gone on to lobby the government to include in the Online Harms Safety Bill. Now 32, Jess has opened up about the trauma it caused and more shockingly, how she was blamed for the abuse. She revealed that once the photo had circulated in her hometown, it was then shared to grown adult men on the local football team. Instead of seeing Jess as a victim, whose private photo was shared without her consent, people blamed her. "Everyone knew my age because it was a small town, and yet, the whole narrative was around how it was my fault," Jess added. "That I shouldn't have sent it, what kind of girl are you? "There was never any conversation around why are men in their twenties and thirties passing around a child's image?" Jess was left as a teenage girl worrying about how to navigate the situation, and she decided she had to laugh it off. 2 Now, she advocates for sexual abuse victims Credit: Instagram/jessdavies Vicky Pattison shares deepfake porn clip of herself as she warns of dangers on C4 doc She revealed that boys in year 7 would run up and ask for a hug as they had seen the image as well. "I was laughing but secretly, this was humiliating," she said. In the end, her parents also found out about the image, as her nan was told about it from one of the men on the football team, where the image was being circulated. Now, as Jess has gotten older, she realises that the way people treated her for the image was not okay and that she was held more accountable than the grown men sharing the image. It has now led Jess to become an advocate for female rights and sexual abuse. Her BBC documentary 'Deepfake Porn: Could You Be Next' was used to lobby the UK government to criminalise deepfake porn. Jess also has a new book, No One Wants To See Your Dick, a guide for surviving the digital age to help us understand and tackle online misogyny and question society's understanding of consent.
