1000 MIGLIA 2025, the fifth and final leg has started

Overtaken yesterday by Erejomovich-Llanos, Vesco-Salvinelli return to the lead with the first Time Trials of the day BRESCIA, Italy, June 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Setting off from Parma heading north, the crews carried out the first sports trials of the day near Soragna, in the lower Parma area. Subsequently, they passed through Roncole Verdi for a Passage Control, with a picturesque passage under the clock tower of the Rocca Pallavicino palace. The results updated at Time Trial 140 see Vesco-Salvinelli (Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Ss) in the lead, after slipping into second place in yesterday's partial classification. All eyes on the Argentines Erejomovich-Llanos (Alfa-Romeo 6C 1500 Ss), who will try to snatch victory from the defending champions in the last series of trials. Third are Tonconogy-Ruffini (Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gs Spider). Four years after its last visit, the Red Arrow returned to Cremona, which welcomed the event in its city centre with a Passage Control in Piazza del Comune, in front of the majestic Duomo di Santa Maria Assunta. Before leaving Cremona, the 1000 Miglia 2025 also visited Soncino for the first time, for a Passage Control in front of the Rocca Sforzesca and the last, decisive series of Time Trials. The Time Control in Orzinuovi, another new feature of this edition, will mark the return of the convoy to the Brescia area. This will be followed by the passage through the centre of Pontoglio, the return for the second consecutive year to Palazzolo, which will host a Passage Control, and the passage through the historic centres of Adro and Erbusco, where the crews will parade in front of the headquarters of the Consorzio Franciacorta. After the magnificent views of Franciacorta, it will be time for the Passage Controls in Travagliato and Gussago, after which the crews will finally head to Brescia. The modern Ferraris taking part in the Tribute will begin arriving in the City of the 1000 Miglia at around 11:00 am, while about an hour later it will be the turn of the electric cars of the 1000 Miglia Green and the 430 classic gems of the 1000 Miglia 2025. At the end of the 1,900-kilometre route, the crews will parade as per tradition along the Viale Venezia ramp, welcomed by the cheering crowd. 1000 Miglia 2025: Morning Between the Futa and Raticosa Hairpin Bends

FROM 1:00 PM THE 430 CLASSIC CARS WILL START ARRIVING IN SIENA, WHERE THEY WILL STOP IN PIAZZA DEL CAMPO BRESCIA, Italy, June 18, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The second leg of the 1000 Miglia 2025 left in the early morning today from Bologna. The weather continued to assist the crews, who reached the two historic 1000 Miglia passes, the Futa and the Raticosa, in view of sun-kissed Apennine panoramas. Along the stretch connecting the two passes, the first Average Trial of this edition was also held. 'The roar of the engines at the start and the smell of paraffin for me are synonymous only with the 1000 Miglia – Joe Bastianich's statement while waiting for the Time Control at the start of the leg in Bologna – today we will be in Siena, in the Chianti region, and in Rome, the Caput Mundi city. It will be an adventure, we are doing very well, and we are happy that the weather is assisting us.' The classification updated after Time Trial 32 sees Erejemovic-Llanos in the lead in a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Ss, who, with today's first sports trials, have overtaken the defending champions Andrea Vesco and Fabio Salvinelli, who had ended yesterday's leg in first position. Still in third position is the Belometti-Ricca crew in a 1929 Lancia Lambda Spider Tipo 221. Hotz-Mozzi remain in the lead of the Ferrari Tribute with an F8 Spider, and so do Magni-Giavardi in a Polestar 4 for the 1000 Miglia Green. Around 9.15 am, the convoy reached Prato: after the Time Control on the banks of the Bisenzio River, the cars made their way through the heart of the Tuscan town, passing through Piazza Duomo, Piazza San Francesco and Piazza Santa Maria delle Carceri, greeting the Prato public with a Passage Control in front of the Emperor's Castle. It was then the turn of the Time Trials in the Linari area, after which it was the Val d'Elsa that accompanied the convoy to the arrival in Piazza del Campo in Siena, for the iconic glimpse of the liveries parked on the tricolour synthetic in the famous square of the Palio delle Contrade. 1000 Miglia Returns With Iconic Route, Expanded Programme

GENERAL KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 (Bernama) -- The 1000 Miglia is set to return from June 17 to 21, with 420 classic cars tackling a 1,900-kilometre (km) route across Italy in a five-day event that echoes the spirit of its epic pre-war editions. Departing from Viale Venezia in Brescia, this year's route forms a symbolic figure-eight, connecting the eastern Adriatic and western Tyrrhenian coasts while preserving the classic Brescia-Rome-Brescia path. Highlights include stopovers in San Lazzaro di Savena (Bologna), Rome, Cervia-Milano Marittima, and Parma, before the grand return to Brescia for a final parade in Piazza Vittoria, coinciding with Festa della Musica. Meanwhile, the passage through the Naval Academy in Livorno will seal the partnership with the Italian Navy, showing the collaboration and closeness that the Armed Forces and Police have always reserved for the 1000 Miglia. The 1000 Miglia 2025 convoy will be preceded by 123 Ferraris from the Tribute 1000 Miglia and 1000 Miglia Green electric cars, accompanied by the Politecnico di Milano's robo-driven cars reflecting on the introduction of autonomous driving for optimising urban transport. The pre-race programme started on June 15 with the inauguration of the 1000 Miglia Village in the historic setting of Piazza Vittoria featuring children from the 'La 1000 Miglia goes to school' project that decorate the car dedicated to the initiative, travelling behind the convoy. Furthermore, the 1000 Miglia Charity Car, with La Zebra Onlus, will raise public awareness of the purchase of a latest-generation ultrasound scanner to be donated to the Children's Hospital in Brescia. -- BERNAMA
