Kia and LG Electronics Partner to Showcase New PBV Concepts for Work and Play
Kia Corporation and LG Electronics today announced a partnership to collaborate on the implementation of mobility space solutions based on PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) technology. The companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Kia pavilion at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, held at KINTEX in Goyang, South Korea, and unveiled concept models for mobile work and recreational spaces that incorporate advanced home appliances into Kia's MOU signing ceremony was attended by Won-Jeong Jeong, Executive Vice President and Head of Korea Business Division at Kia, and Lyu Jae-cheol, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution agreement brings together Kia's PBV technology and LG's expertise in AI solutions. Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 2-door coupe makes Korean debut
Mercedes-Benz unveiled full-change models of its AMG GT 2-door coupe for the first time in Korea at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on Thursday. At the exhibition's press day event, the company introduced two models from the sports car lineup -- the AMG GT 55 4Matic+, powered by a gasoline engine, and the AMG GT 63 S E Performance, a high-performance hybrid. 'The new Mercedes-AMG GT embodies what AMG stands for like no other vehicle, perfectly blending motorsport DNA, accelerating racetrack capabilities and everyday usability,' said Kylian Telen, vice president of Mercedes-Benz Korea, at the event. Among AMG models, the GT 63 S E Performance boasts the fastest acceleration, reaching 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.8 seconds. The GT 55 4Matic+ is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, delivering a maximum output of 476 horsepower. Both models also offer a foldable second-row seat and a larger trunk space, enhancing practicality for everyday use. Alongside the new GT series, the company also unveiled the AMG CLE 53 4Matic+ coupe, the limited-edition AMG E 53 Hybrid 4Matic+ Edition 1 sedan and the G-Class Fast II Future sport utility vehicle, a collaboration with premium jacket brand Moncler. The models will be on display at the booth throughout the Seoul Mobility Show, which runs until April 13.

Seoul Mobility Show 2025 to feature transportation beyond wheels
Record-setting 451 companies to participate in Korea's biggest mobility exhibition The 2025 Seoul Mobility Show will push the boundaries of conventional motor exhibitions by showcasing transportation beyond cars, its organizers said Wednesday. 'The 2025 Seoul Mobility Show will present the most diverse range of products and services in the 30-year history of the exhibition,' said Kang Nam-hoon, CEO of the Korea Automobile & Mobility Association who also serves as the chief of the Seoul Mobility Show organizing committee, during a press conference in Seoul. 'We are looking to present a vision of future mobility through innovation that transcends the boundaries of technology and goes beyond the limitations of land, sea and air.' The biennial mobility exhibition will bring a record-breaking 451 companies from 12 countries to Kintex, a large convention center in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, from April 3 to 13. The previous event held in 2023 drew about 510,000 visitors. Led by homegrown automakers Hyundai Motor, Kia and Genesis, a total of 12 auto brands are participating in this year's exhibition to showcase their lineups and unveil new cars. In particular, Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD and British luxury sports car maker Lotus will take part in the Seoul Mobility Show for the first time. Vinssen, an eco-friendly shipbuilder, will display its electric-propelled leisure boat EV002 at the event, while Sambo Motors Group will present an urban air mobility aircraft -- a two-seat electric model designed for vertical takeoff and landing. HD Hyundai, a shipbuilding and heavy industries conglomerate, plans to debut its new excavator in a world premiere at this year's Seoul Mobility Show. Lotte Innovate, an information technology affiliate of retail conglomerate Lotte Group, will offer test rides of its autonomous vehicle without a driver's seat. LG Group, meanwhile, will introduce its mobility-related businesses such as battery, charging infrastructure and delivery robots.
