Crews locate plane that crashed into Long Island Sound
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Teams have located the plane that crashed in the Long Island Sound over the weekend.
Miracle on the Long Island Sound: Father, daughter safe after plane lands just off coast of New Haven
The piper 32 Cherokee plane is currently being brought to shore. The plane, which was being flown by J. Scott Edwards of Newtown, crashed into the water just miles away from Tweed New Haven Airport Sunday.
Edwards and his teenage daughter were safe after the crash with minor injuries.
