Ariana Grande Sees ‘Brighter Days Ahead' With New Songs — And Almost Hits No. 1
Ariana Grande's Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead drops six new songs, all of which chart ... More on iTunes, with 'Twilight Zone' leading the way. HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - MARCH 02: Ariana Grande attends the 97th Annual Oscars at Dolby Theatre on March 02, 2025 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Chelsea Guglielmino/FilmMagic) Ariana Grande just added six brand new songs to her latest album, and fans wasted no time snapping them up. The singer released Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead, an expanded version of her recent full-length, on Friday (March 28), and every track included in the update is already performing well on the iTunes in America. All six of the new tunes that have been added to Eternal Sunshine – now retitled Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead – appear on the iTunes top songs chart. That list ranks the bestselling tracks in the U.S. on iTunes alone, and it's usually full of new releases on Fridays, as the music industry begins again its weekly tracking period. Among the half-dozen freshly released tracks, just one appears inside the top 10 on iTunes at the time of writing. 'Twilight Zone' currently ranks as the highest-performing cut from Brighter Days Ahead. It serves as the focus track from the deluxe version of the album, and it might soon become the next smash single. 'Twilight Zone' comes in behind several other notable new drops, including Mondo Cozmo's 'Shine' at No. 3, Linkin Park's 'Up From the Bottom' at No. 8, and the collaborative rendition of 'Mayberry' by Rascal Flatts and Blake Shelton, which lands at No. 9. While 'Twilight Zone' is the only new Grande cut inside the top 10 on iTunes, the others aren't far behind. Each of the remaining five songs tacked onto Eternal Sunshine lands inside the top 40, and almost all of them are sitting within the top 20. At the moment, Grande's 'Warm' settles at No. 12, followed immediately by 'Past Life' at No. 13. 'Dandelion' comes behind at No. 15, with 'Hampstead' not far back at No. 19. The extended version of 'Intro (End of the World)' — a longer take on the song that opens the standard version of Eternal Sunshine — debuts at No. 22. It's not just the individual songs from Brighter Days Ahead that are performing well. The full collection is also surging. Eternal Sunshine Deluxe currently sits at No. 2 on iTunes' Top Albums chart, nearly conquering the ranking of the most-purchased full-lengths in the U.S. on that site. The only project keeping Grande from the summit right now is I Said I Love You First, a joint release from Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.

XO Kitty star siblings Sang Heon-Lee and Gia Kim's twinning fashion at Oscars 2025: Fans call them 'power duo'
Gia Kim and Sang Heon-lee attend the 97th Annual Oscars at Dolby Theatre on March 02, 2025 in Hollywood, California. AFP-MONICA SCHIPPER They dazzled—just a little… or maybe a lot. XO, Kitty's star siblings, Sang Heon-lee and Gia Kim, who had already infused the hit series with luxe aesthetics, brought their signature fashion-forward flair to the 2025 Oscars, held at Dolby Theatre, Hollywood, California. Kim graced the red carpet in a breathtaking strapless velvet gown, exuding old Hollywood charm. The dress featured a daring sweetheart neckline, perfectly complemented by a statement gold chain necklace that added a modern edge to the classic silhouette. She completed the look with dangling earrings and a chrome manicure, effortlessly merging timeless elegance with contemporary trends, as noted by Teen Vogue. Her brother, Sang Heon Lee, was not to be outshined. Embracing a bold yet refined aesthetic, he donned a black three-piece suit with an oversized contemporary silhouette, setting himself apart from the sea of traditional tuxedos. His choice of metallic silver Maison Margiela Tabi shoes added an avant-garde touch, making a statement that resonated with fashion aficionados. Lee has already gained attention for his standout style in XO, Kitty. His on-screen wardrobe perfectly reflects his character's suave confidence and effortless charm. He seamlessly blended tailored blazers with casual puffer jackets, accessorizing with sleek sunglasses to enhance his laid-back appeal. His take on academia fashion, layering sweaters over button-downs, struck the perfect balance between polished and relaxed. Even his bold red jacket never felt overdone—it was all about controlled, effortless cool. Naturally, their Oscars fashion set social media abuzz, with fans dubbing them "the ultimate power sibling duo" and raving about their impeccable style. However, not all feedback was glowing—some weren't entirely sold on Lee's longer hairstyle, with a few suggesting he'd look better with a shorter cut. Regardless of the minor critiques, one thing remains certain: these siblings continue to prove that they're always ahead of the fashion curve—whether on-screen or on the red carpet. Meanwhile, in other good news for fans, XO Kitty has been renewed for a third season. Sign up for the Daily Briefing Get the latest news and updates straight to your inbox

‘Wicked' stars defy gravity, ‘Anora' wins big, plus more memorable moments from the 2025 Oscars
'Wicked' fans got exactly what they wanted during the first performance of the night at the 2. Adam Sandler crashes Conan O'Brien's monologue Adam Sandler speaks during the 97th Annual Oscars at Dolby Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood. Kevin Winter/Getty Viewers were treated to an evening hosted by comedian and Brookline native Conan O'Brien, who wasted no time getting silly during his monologue. After O'Brien emerged in a gross scene parodying 'The Substance,' he cleaned up and raced on stage for a nearly 20-minute opener, where he cracked jokes about many of the night's nominees. But one of the more memorable moments from the monologue came when New Hampshire native Adam Sandler, wearing a hoodie instead of a tux, crashed O'Brien's bit. 'You're dressed like a guy playing video poker at 2 a.m.,' O'Brien joked while addressing the underdressed star in the crowd. The monologue ended with a song-and-dance number by the Bay State native. Kevin Winter/Getty 'The Substance' star Margaret Qualley channeled her inner Bond girl during a 007 dance and musical tribute. Qualley performed a choreographed number to the James Bond theme song, backed by a crowd of dancers. Blackpink's LISA then descended from the heavens to sing 'Live and Let Die.' Doja Cat followed with a performance of 'Diamonds Are Forever,' with Raye ending the tribute with a rendition of Adele's 'Skyfall.' 4. LA firefighters get standing ovation, crack jokes Los Angeles first responders are honored onstage during the 97th Annual Oscars at Dolby Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood. Kevin Winter/Getty The Oscars crowd gave the firefighters who took on the recent Pacific Palisades and Eaton wildfires a standing ovation as they took the stage. In addition to receiving a well-earned applause, the firefighters showed off their comedy skills as well, telling jokes that host O'Brien admitted even he 'is not brave enough to tell.' 5. Queen Latifah honors Quincy Jones, with a little help from Oprah and Whoopi Goldberg Queen Latifah, center, performs "Ease on Down the Road" during the Oscars on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Chris Pizzello/Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey took the stage to honor the late Quincy Jones ahead of a musical tribute led by Queen Latifah. Advertisement 'When we're talking about Black excellence, we're talking about Quincy,' Goldberg said during the introduction. Latifah gave a truly royal performance, honoring Jones with a rendition of 'Ease on Down the Road' from 'The Wiz,' which had the 'Wicked' cast and the rest of the crowd dancing and singing along. 6. Chris Pizzello/Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP Morgan Freeman appeared during the introduction for the in memoriam segment, beginning the somber my remembrance by paying tribute to his late co-star Gene Hackman, saying that Hollywood 'lost a giant, and I lost a dear friend.' Other notable names honored during the in memoriam included David Lynch, Shelley Duvall, Maggie Smith, and Donald Sutherland. 7. Winners leave their mark with memorable speeches Zoe Saldana accepts the Best Actress In A Supporting Role award for "Emilia Pérez" onstage during the 97th Annual Oscars at Dolby Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood. Kevin Winter/Getty There were no shortage of memorable speeches on Sunday night, kicking off with Kieran Culkin, who won best supporting actor for 'A Real Pain.' He gave his former 'Succession' co-star and Boston native Jeremy Strong (also nominated in the category for 'The Apprentice') a shoutout in an expletive-filled speech that need a bit of bleeping on the broadcast. Later, Paul Tazewell made history for his win, taking home best costume design for 'Wicked.' Tazewell noted in his speech that he was 'the first Black man to receive the costume design award.' The filmmakers behind 'No Other Land,' winner of the best documentary feature prize, made a statement with their acceptance speech. Palestinian co-director Basel Adra called on the world 'to take serious actions' over the conflict in Gaza, with fellow co-director Yuval Abraham, an Israeli, joining in his plea for peace. Another big winner of the evening was Zoe Saldaña, who earned the best supporting actress award for 'Emilia Pérez.' In her speech, Saldaña noted that she was the 'first American of Dominican origin to accept an Academy Award' and 'a proud child of immigrant parents.' Advertisement Adrien Brody, who won his second career best actor award on Sunday night for 'The Brutalist,' left a mark too with his speech, partly because it was the longest of the night. 8. 'Anora' had the biggest night of all Lindsey Normington, from left, Alex Coco, Vache Tovmasyan, Sean Baker, Samantha Quan, Karren Karagulian Mikey Madison, Drew Daniels, Luna Sofía Miranda, Mark Eydelshteyn, and Yura Borisov accept the award for best picture for "Anora" during the Oscars on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Star Mikey Madison won for best actress, her first career Oscar, calling the moment a 'dream come true' in her speech. Meanwhile, filmmaker Sean Baker won for best director, best film editing, and best original screenplay During one of his many speeches of the night, he made an impassioned plea to movie lovers to get back to watching flicks in theaters, or risk 'losing a vital part of our culture.' The Oscar looks we loved (and the one we didn't)
Cynthia Erivo Grande's sculpted dress may have been a miss, but Erivo's Louis Vuitton ballgown made of dark green velvet with exaggerated hips was wicked incredible (sorry, you knew a 'Wicked' joke was coming). There were subtle hints to Elphaba, such as an exaggerated collar that stood at attention, but this architectural dress was like a walking piece of art. The gown's voluminous proportions swallowed her up. It could have been a disaster (see Grande's umbrella dress). Velvet isn't necessarily forgiving, and there was a risk that Erivo could have resembled a curtain ( Get Starting Point A guide through the most important stories of the morning, delivered Monday through Friday. Enter Email Sign Up Emma Stone arrives at the Oscars. Jae C. Hong/Jae C. Hong/Invision/AP Advertisement Emma Stone There was a lot of playing it safe on the red carpet, perhaps too safe for a night that should be fun, glamorous, and accompanied by sartorial risks that become the stuff of Monday morning water cooler talk. Does anyone remember the water cooler talk? The colors spotted on actresses this year were mainly muted, with splashes of metallic silver and classic black, with an occasional shock of red or blue (thank you for the deep blue palate cleanser, Michele Yeoh). Thankfully, muted doesn't always feel safe or boring. To prove this, look at the details on Emma Stone's Louis Vuitton masterpiece. She glided across the carpet like an iridescent snake in a nude, 1920s-inspired gown that looked as if it was made from fish scales. It's all in the details. Zoe Saldaña attends the 97th Annual Oscars. Mike Coppola/Getty Zoe Saldaña Please give Zoe Saldaña props for making sheer, opera-length gloves the sexiest accessory at the Oscars this year. Sadly, the gloves were the only part of her Oscar ensemble that worked. The 'Emilia Pérez' star wore a strapless maroon dress with a see-through bodice dotted with white crystals. The Saint Laurent dress, which looked more like a bolt of fabric placed in a carwash, did the actress no favors. The tiered dress seemed to gather in all the wrong places — in the most unflattering way imaginable. Perhaps if it were tiered in the opposite direction, it would have looked less like a maternity dress and more like something worthy of the red carpet. Advertisement Timothée Chalamet arrives at the Oscars. Monica Schipper/Getty Timothée Chalamet Could any other actor have shown up to the Oscars, the glitziest, most glam night of the award season, in a butter yellow 'look' by Givenchy and pulled it off? Yes, definitely. But the idea of this suit seemed to fit Chamalet's brand to perfection. The suit (not quite a tux) was baggy at the leg and appeared ill-fitting to the untrained eye. But this was custom-made for the 'A Complete Unknown' actor, and the intention was to give him a casual, nonchalant, and young appearance. Why put a 29-year-old who looks like he's 17 in a stuffy tux? It takes a lot of time and money to look good on the red carpet while simultaneously appearing as if you don't care. Lupita Nyong'o arrives at the Oscars. Jordan Strauss/Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP Lupita Nyong'o Some actresses win awards almost annually (yes, Meryl, we know you'll be back), but Nyong'o consistently wins the red carpet, which is the most challenging contest in Hollywood. No other actress has been as consistently stylish or tasteful as Nyong'o year after year. On Sunday night, she wore a custom white pleated dress by Chanel, the fashion house named Nyong'o as ambassador last year. The ivory charmeuse dress featured more than 22,000 pearls. The bustier was embroidered with silver crystal bugle beads to give the dress a proper smattering of flash. Advertisement Demi Moore arrives at the Oscars Sunday. Jae C. Hong/Jae C. Hong/Invision/AP Honorable mentions This year, a metallic trend was on the carpet, with a parade of actresses donning silver frocks. Please hold your applause until all the nominees' names have been read. The best of this year's silver queens include Demi Moore, Mindy Kaling, Halle Berry, and Felicity Jones. From Moore's classic hourglass gown to Berry's modern broken mirror gown, these screen queens added some much-needed sparkle to the proceedings. Halle Berry onstage during the 97th Annual Oscars.
