Victoria Beckham suffers fresh blow amid Brooklyn drama by former bandmates

Victoria Beckham has been left reeling as her family drama continues, with the mum-of-four now facing fresh heartbreak amid plans for a Spice Girls reunion. Victoria Beckham has been dealt another blow amid her reported feud with eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, distancing himself from the family. The fashion mogul has seen her high-profile family making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The 51-year-old been left heartbroken by the ongoing spat with her son and his wife Nicola Peltz, which escalated after the pair allegedly skipped David Beckham's 50th birthday bash. Since then, a noticeable rift has formed within the Beckham household. ‌ It has sparked fresh concerns that there might be "no way back" for them. Now, Victoria faces another predicament as her Spice Girls bandmates plan a reunion without her. ‌ The legendary girl group will celebrate their 30th anniversary next year, with bosses said to be eager to reunite the band. It appears Mel C, Mel B and Emma Bunton have agreed, while Victoria has not yet confirmed and Geri isn't 100 per cent onboard, and instead is advocating for an ABBA-style avatar of the band to create a virtual concert for fans, reports the Mirror. Victoria is allegedly excluded from these discussions and won't be part of the virtual band. A source disclosed to the Daily Mail: "There will be a Spice Girls reunion and all the details are now being debated by everyone apart from Victoria." They suggested that Geri "isn't interested in coming back and doing a tour" but the virtual concept has "tempted her". The former manager of the iconic pop group, Simon Fuller, is apparently the mastermind behind their latest venture. Although Victoria Beckham chose not to join the 2019 tour, sources suggest she might be open to the new concept provided all her fellow bandmates are on board as well. An inside source revealed to The Sun: "Simon is eager to pull off one final spectacle with the Spice Girls, and this is his latest brainchild. He was the mastermind behind ABBA's groundbreaking digital shows and believes this strategy would suit the Spice Girls perfectly." ‌ They added that a traditional tour seems unlikely, especially with Victoria unable to commit full-time again, so this may be their best shot at a reunion. Victoria herself has previously expressed interest in a virtual Spice Girls show, telling American television in 2022: "That is a great idea." ‌ Elsewhere, Victoria received uplifting news as her husband David is set to be knighted in the upcoming King's Birthday Honours list following years of anticipation. There also seems to be ongoing speculations regarding the recent split of her son Romeo Beckham and his girlfriend Kim Turnbull. Sources close to the family suggest it would take nothing short of a "small miracle at present" for harmony to return between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents, amid the reported family feud. ‌ It follows claims from Nicola Peltz's close inner circle that Kim Turnbull's past interactions with Brooklyn were the reason the couple abstained from attending David's 50th birthday celebrations, allegations that have been denied by Beckham's circle. "There are no signs of reconciliation, sadly. There is still a lot of hurt to process," a source revealed. Insiders close to Nicola have previously claimed that as "an outsider coming into the Beckham family, she has helped Brooklyn see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within". The allegations have struck a nerve, with a source commenting: "It was a low, low can you say such things about your own family. It will be interesting to see if Brooklyn and Nicola make any attempt to heal things now Kim is out of the picture."

Victoria Beckham suffers another blow as fresh feud emerges amid Brooklyn drama

Fashion designer Victoria Beckham's world has been rocked by her ongoing family drama with eldest son Brooklyn Beckham as the Spice Girls try to put a reunion plan together Victoria Beckham is said to have been wrapped up in even more drama as she comes to terms with her eldest son Brooklyn Beckham distancing himself from their famous family. The fashion designer, 51, has seen her beloved family hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons. She has been left hurt by the ongoing feud with her son and his wife Nicola Peltz, that all came to blows when the young couple skipped David Beckham's 50th birthday celebrations. Since then, there has been a stark divide in the Beckham clan amid fears there's "no way back" for them. ‌ Amidst the drama, it seems Victoria has another issue at hand as her Spice Girls bandmates plan to reunite. The iconic girl group will mark their 30th anniversary next year, with bosses keen to get the band back together. ‌ It seems Mel C, Mel B and Emma Bunton are all on board, while Geri and Victoria have taken a little longer to persuade. Reports now claim that Geri is keen for an ABBA-style avatar of the band that will create a virtual show for fans. Victoria is said to have been left out of discussions and would not be part of the virtual band. A source told the Daily Mail:"There will be a Spice Girls reunion and all the details are now being debated by everyone apart from Victoria." They claimed Geri "isn't interested in coming back and doing a tour" but the virtual idea has "tempted her". Their former manager, Simon Fuller, is reportedly the brains behind the new plan. Although Victoria opted out of their 2019 tour, other insiders have said she's open to the new approach as long as all the other members are on board. Another insider shared to The Sun.: 'Simon is eager to pull off one final spectacle with the Spice Girls, and this is his latest brainchild. He was the mastermind behind ABBA's groundbreaking digital shows and believes this strategy would suit the Spice Girls perfectly. ‌ "Touring again seems doubtful - Victoria, for instance, isn't likely to return as a full-time member - so this could be their best chance to reunite.' Victoria herself previously voiced support for a virtual Spice Girls residency. When asked on American television in 2022 about the idea, she responded: 'That is a great idea.' However, Victoria received a huge boost this week as husband David is finally getting a knighthood in the King's Birthday Honours list next week after year after years of waiting. ‌ In her home life, the feud continues to rumble on despite son Romeo Beckham splitting from his girlfriend Kim Turnbull. Insiders have said it would take a 'small miracle at present' for peace to break out between Brooklyn and his parents David and Victoria. It comes as his wife Nicola 's friends previously blamed Kim for them not going to David's 50th. Pals alleged it was because Brooklyn had a brief romantic liaison with her, which was denied by Beckham's friends. 'There are no signs of reconciliation, sadly. There is still a lot of hurt to process,' a source told us. Sources close to Nicola have previously insisted that as 'an outsider coming into the Beckham family, she has helped Brooklyn see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within'. The claims cut deep as a source said: 'It was a low, low can you say such things about your own family. It will be interesting to see if Brooklyn and Nicola make any attempt to heal things now Kim is out of the picture.' The Mirror has contacted the Spice Girls and Victoria's representatives for comment.

Blur don't want to be a band beyond their 'sell-by-date'

Blur don't want to still be a band beyond their "sell-by-date", says drummer Dave Rowntree. The Britpop legends reunited in 2023 for the new album 'The Ballad of Darren' - their first in eight years - and a series of shows, including two sold-out nights at Wembley Stadium in the July, for what marked their first UK headline gigs since 2015. And while discussing the future, Dave said he believes they are "quite a way before we're in our dotage", but they would never want to still be onstage when they are unable to remember their lyrics and "wheeled on in our bath chairs". When I was 21, the idea of 61-year-olds making albums, touring and being in the charts would have been laughable. I wonder if that's how 21-year-olds feel about me now? There's going to come a time when we're too old to do it, but we'll have probably decided to throw the towel in before then anyway. Nobody wants to go on past our sell-by-date." The 'Parklife' hitmakers are only drawn back to the band when there is a "an interesting idea" for new music and would never get back together just for the sake of it. Asked if there is still a desire to keep going, he explained: "Yes, it takes an interesting idea now to tempt us back into the studio. The last one was Wembley Stadium [in 2023]. You can't say no to that. It was the party at the end of the Olympics in 2012 that got us out before, the Hyde Park shows in 2009 before that. As long as people are coming up with interesting ideas for us to do it again, then I'm sure we'll go for it. "There will come a time when we'll go, 'Is there anything left to say? Is there another good Blur album to make?' I think that'll be quite a way before we're in our dotage and unable to remember the songs when we're wheeled on in our bath chairs. But then, look at The Stones – they're still touring aren't they?" Bassist Alex James recently suggested their future could look like an ABBA-style avatar show - or "respectfully" dipping in and out of playing together. Speaking to Ken Bruce on Greatest Hits Radio, he said: "We got back together in 2023, made a new record and I think did our best ever run of shows. It's incredible how the music has endured and it was the first time we'd ever got to the end of an album or tour without at least one of us saying 'that's it, never again.' We didn't do many shows and I think that was probably a good place to leave it. There's two ways to go either the ABBA thing and stop at the top and just let it take its own course and make avatars of yourself when you were 27 and beautiful. Or treat it respectfully and dip in and out occasionally and it's a really wonderful thing to be able to step back into – that all those years of playing together is a gift actually. As long as you don't overcook it or annoy the guitar player or singer too much..." Dave was speaking to promote his new photobook, 'No One You Know: Dave Rowntree's Early Blur Photos', set to be published on September 9.
