Dist library to soon get a makeover
1 2 Kanpur: The govt district library would soon be equipped with modern technic and facilities. District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh on Friday visited the library and announced that the library would be redesigned through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds of Rs 20 lakhs. More than 65,000 books are available in the library including literature, science, mathematics, history, culture, children's literature, biography, spiritual subjects. All major newspapers are supplied regularly. The library has basic facilities like RO, Wi-Fi, toilets and is open daily from 10am to 5pm. The membership fee for three years is just Rs 500 which is refundable. Career counselling and motivational classes are organised from time to time in the library premises. During the inspection, some students demanded an increase in the operating time of the library during the competitive examinations, on which the District Magistrate directed the Additional District Inspector of Schools (ADIOS) – Prashant Kumar Dwivedi to take necessary action in this regard. tnn

KIMS Hotel Mgmt College organises ADIOS farewell party
Karimnagar: KIMS College of Hotel Management conducts ADIOS, a grand farewell party in the campus on Friday. Chief guest Dr Suresh Kumar, Controller of Examinations, Satavahana University addressed the students KIMS Group of Institutions Vice Chairman Periyala Saketh Rama Rao, said that the hotel sector and tourism has developed & spread all over the world. He reminded KIMS students have secured good jobs not only in our country but also in various countries. He also added that the institution provides 100 percent job opportunities to students. The cultural programs of the students entertained the guests immensely. In this program KIMS College of Hotel management Principal Goutham, Faculty members Ajay, Sathish, Sai Baba, Chandrakala, Shirisha and 250 students participated.
