Dhruv Rathee, TagMango founders launch AI Fiesta, India's 1st AI super-app
In a breakthrough moment for India's startup and creator economy, YouTube's biggest Indian creator Dhruv Rathee has teamed up with TagMango founders Mohammad Hasan and Divyanshu Damani to launch AI Fiesta — a subscription-based AI super-app that crossed $3 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) within just 36 hours of launch. Positioned as 'India's first global AI subscription platform,' AI Fiesta combines six of the world's top artificial intelligence models into a single subscription, promising a seamless, affordable, and accessible experience for users ranging from coders and designers to creators and professionals. ₹999/month (monthly plan) ₹834/month (annual plan, billed upfront) By comparison, a single premium subscription to ChatGPT or Claude costs around $20 (₹1,700–₹1,800) per month when billed directly in USD. For Indians without an international card, access is often difficult or comes at a markup via resellers. So in short: Subscribers can access the platform at ₹999 per month (or ₹834/month on annual billing, inclusive of GST) — less than half the cost of a single premium AI subscription in international markets. 'AI Fiesta is the first global AI subscription born out of India — built on trust, affordability, and speed,' said Dhruv Rathee, who commands a massive digital audience of 30 million+ subscribers across platforms. Value for Money: How Much Can You Save? Let's compare costs for a user who wants access to multiple AI platforms: ChatGPT Plus: $20/month (₹1,700) Claude Pro: $20/month (₹1,700) Perplexity Pro: $20/month (₹1,700) Gemini Advanced: $20/month (₹1,700) Total monthly outflow = ~₹6,800 (₹81,600 annually). 'AI Should Be a Utility, Not a Luxury' Highlighting the mission behind AI Fiesta, co-founder Mohammad Hasan said: 'This isn't just a tech product, it's a movement. Every Indian — from coders to creators — should have access to world-class AI without needing a foreign credit card or a $20/month budget. AI shouldn't be a luxury, it should be a utility, and AI Fiesta makes that possible.' TagMango, the creator monetisation platform also co-founded by Hasan and Damani, has already facilitated ₹1,000 crore+ in creator earnings. The founders are now channeling that execution experience and creator-first ethos into making AI widely accessible. A Global First: UPI Payments for AI In a significant innovation for accessibility, AI Fiesta launched UPI-based subscription payments — two days ahead of OpenAI's rollout — making global AI tools more seamless for India's digital-first population. 'Every AI model has different strengths — ChatGPT in reasoning, Gemini in images, Perplexity in search, Claude in writing, and so on. With AI Fiesta, you don't have to pick. We've brought the best of each into one subscription at a price that makes sense — so you always get the right tool for the right job, without compromise,' said co-founder Divyanshu Damani. With Dhruv Rathee's influence and TagMango's proven scale, AI Fiesta is already being hailed as one of India's most impactful contributions to the global AI ecosystem. The founding team collectively commands a reach of over 300 million, giving the platform an unparalleled distribution advantage. Early traction — 20,000+ paying users in 36 hours — suggests this strategy is already paying off. Looking ahead, AI Fiesta plans to: Roll out automatic upgrades as new AI models launch globally Introduce support for Indian regional languages, expanding accessibility Provide monthly product updates for transparency Launch an iOS app to widen access Deliver a 'Prompt Book' with 3,000+ examples across 25 categories Build an active learning community with webinars, workshops, and shared best practices The long-term vision is clear: to make AI a daily productivity tool for millions, not a premium niche service. As Dhruv Rathee summed it up: 'AI Fiesta isn't just about building an app. It's about putting India on the global AI map.'

Dhruv Rathee's Startup AI Fiesta Roasted By 'Tech Bros' Of X, Here's Why
YouTuber Dhruv Rathee's startup, AI Fiesta, has received mixed reviews on X. Dhruv Rathee, a popular YouTuber from India with over 29.5 million subscribers, took to his channel by the same name on August 17 to inform his audience about a startup he had built with the help of his team. Called AI Fiesta, the AI tool will assist users with a platform that brings all the market-leading AI tools in one place. This will lead to a hasslefree experience wherein a user can ask queries to all the AI chatbots at once and use the most appropriate response to their query, Rathee stated. However, Rathee's startup has come into the radar of the tech community on X who have scrutinised the YouTuber's startup, reducing his startup to a college project. But why? In the introduction of his video, Rathee admitted that the reason behind building his startup wasn't conceived like a typical 'billion-dollar idea" or something that would shock the world. Instead, he chose something that he used daily – AI. He then stated that he has identified two problems in the AI revolution in India, one being the premium pricing of the popular AI model subscriptions. The average person in India found it difficult to afford these, he added. An average individual premium monthly subscription costs anywhere from USD 20 to 30. He then asserted that the free versions of the available powerful AI tools were restricted and downgraded. According to his survey, 73% of people who had attended his AI Masterclass and ChatGPT course had used the inferior, less powerful free versions of the AI tools, he discovered. The second reason, a problem he identified, was that the top AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and Grok, made a set of unique errors, making fact-checking difficult for his YouTube videos. This, he said, occurred because the AIs were trained on different datasets. He stated that there wasn't a single AI tool that stood out and delivered on all fronts. For instance, Claude AI's written language seemed more natural than what ChatGPT produced. This led to multiple subscription purchases and hefty monthly expenses. Subscription To address these two problems, he developed an AI tool that integrated the popular AI tools, helping users interact with all the AIs on a single platform to fetch the most desirable responses to their queries. AI Fiesta, his startup, brought all the powerful AIs in one window at a fraction of the price, he added. He priced AI Fiesta's monthly premium subscription at Rs 999. A yearly package would set you back by Rs 9,999. Rathee's AI Fiesta, which is already live, has received mixed reactions and reviews from his audience and critics. 'See I'm a researcher and content writer. I actually use AI tools like 4 and 7 for researching and refining my scripts. And honestly, even though I earn a good amount of money, paying for all those AI tools every year wasn't really feasible for me. But this feels like a game changer (sic)," a commentor wrote on Rathee's YouTube video that has been viewed over 4.6 million times at the time of publishing this story. However, people on X were mostly critical of Rathee's startup idea. They criticised the lack of innovation brought by Rathee's AI Fiesta and called it a college project presented in a startup wrapping. Dhruv Rathee is back to scamming people again.– Almost every AI model runs on OpenAI's API, especially Gemini.– It is not even running the latest GPT-5 API as per his claim, it's actually running on the old GPT-4 API. — sid (@immasiddx) August 19, 2025 Cloned @dhruv_rathee 's new startup AI Fiesta and open-sourced it. Use your own API keys to save about 200% on costs as compared. — Kushagra (@i_kushagra) August 18, 2025 A user on X made an open-source version of AI Fiesta and claimed that their tool had more models than those integrated on Rathee's. I just made an open-source version of @dhruv_rathee AI startup.> Even with more models 🙂 Link in comments — Humi (@byteHumi) August 18, 2025 'Dhruv Rathee made 100s of videos questioning Indian innovation & creativity. But when it was his turn to show some in his own startup, he straight up fumbled. Bro is literally reselling existing AI models and calling it a startup," a user wrote on X. AI Bonanza OpenAI recently launched a Rs 399 monthly subscription for its ChatGPT Go aimed at Indian users. Its ChatGPT Plus plan costs Rs 1,999 per month.
