AIYF stages protest in Thrissur over alleged irregularities in voter list
The All India Youth Federation (AIYF) has accused the Election Commission of being reduced to a political instrument of the Sangh Parivar and demanded a stronger wave of public protests against voter list manipulation. Speaking while inaugurating a night march organised by the AIYF district committee on Tuesday night, CPI State council member K.K. Valsaraj condemned the arrest of MPs in the national capital for questioning voter list irregularities, as well as the alleged large-scale manipulation in Thrissur's electoral roll. Mr. Valsaraj claimed that the allegation of BJP winning the Lok Sabha polls in Thrissur through voter list fraud has now been 'credibly proven.' He accused the Narendra Modi government of using its influence to dismantle the democratic election process, alleging collusion between the BJP and the Election Commission in large-scale voter list tampering. He said the ruling system, which he described as 'a regime more shameless than even notorious criminal gangs,' feared the unity of India's democratic and secular forces and responded by 'slaughtering the democratic system itself.' Highlighting reports that unoccupied flats were used to register fake addresses in Thrissur, Mr. Valsaraj said several shocking pieces of evidence had already been published by the media. He criticised the continued silence of the local MP, calling it suspicious, and accused the Election Commission of trivialising serious allegations with 'nonsensical' explanations. 'Thrissur was not won — it was stolen,' the AIYF declared in its resolution, accusing the Sangh Parivar of betraying democracy and the Indian Constitution by adding fake votes, and turning bogus votes and black money into the BJP's election slogan. AIYF district president Binoy Shabeer presided over the protest meeting.

CPI charges Naidu with deceiving unemployed youth
Ongole: The Communist Party of India (CPI) has criticised Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for allegedly failing to fulfil his election promises to unemployed youth, demanding immediate implementation of the promised Rs 3,000 unemployment allowance. The state committee meeting of the All India Youth Federation was held at Mallaiah Lingam Bhavan here on Thursday. AIYF state president Mojjada Yugandhar presided over the meeting, in which CPI state executive member Gujjula Eswaraiah participated as the chief guest. Speaking at the meeting, Eswaraiah accused the Chief Minister of deceiving unemployed youth once again. He highlighted that during the election campaign, Naidu had promised to implement the 'Super Six' welfare schemes, including unemployment allowance. He said that the Chief Minister had also pledged to create 20 lakh jobs within five years and enable youth to earn lakhs through work-from-home opportunities, preventing migration to other states or countries for employment. He said that though a year has passed since coming to power, the coalition government failed to fill the four lakh jobs, and criticised the government's failure to establish promised IT industries and industrial corridors in every district. Eswaraiah mentioned the data from the 'Skill Census Survey' conducted in February by the government through village and ward secretariat employees, that over 1.56 crore people aged between 18 and 50 years in the state are without employment across 26 districts. He said that the survey revealed that while 52.69 lakh people are engaged in some form of work, 52.74 lakh are ready to take up any employment. He pointed out that despite approximately 3.20 lakh vacant positions in various state government departments, the government has not released a white paper on filling these posts or issued notifications for recruitment. The AIYF announced plans to intensify their struggle for unemployed youth and called for making the upcoming workers' rally on August 23 in Ongole a success. Various state office bearers of AIYF, including Paruchuri Rajendra Babu, Gandala Santosh Kumar, and others, attended the meeting.

AIYF demands job notifications, unemployment allowance
Kurnool: The All India Youth Federation (AIYF) on Monday staged a dramatic protest in front of the Kurnool District Collectorate, demanding the immediate release of job notifications and implementation of the promised unemployment allowance. The protest, led by AIYF District Secretary K. Srinivasulu, saw youth activists demonstrating half-naked and holding empty food plates, highlighting their distress over unfulfilled electoral promises. Addressing the gathering, Srinivasulu criticised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for failing to deliver on his pre-election assurances. 'Before the elections, the Chief Minister promised to create 20 lakh jobs and provide an unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 per month. Now, after coming to power, he is citing financial constraints. With over four decades of political experience, was he unaware of the financial burden these promises entailed?' he questioned. He demanded that all vacant posts in government departments be filled immediately and a white paper be released on employment and livelihood plans for the youth. The AIYF also urged the government to declare Amaravati a free zone to ensure job opportunities are accessible to youth from all 26 districts of the state. Attempting to submit a memorandum, AIYF leaders were stopped by the police at the Collectorate gate, leading to a brief scuffle. The protest witnessed participation from several leaders, including AIYF city secretary Bisanna, AISF district president Somanna, AITUC city secretary Chandrasekhar, and AIYF members C Ramesh, Peddayya, Anjeet Goud, Raju, Jaffer Patel, Upendra, Nagaraju, Srikanth, Akhil, Kalakhar, Muniswamy, Ravi, Hussain Basha, Nageswara Rao, Babji, Shiva, Naveen, Prabhakar, and Kumaru.

AIYF leaders demand cancellation of IPL matches due to negative impact on youth and rise in betting
CPI affiliated All India Youth Federation (AIYF) Visakhapatnam district unit leaders and activists have demanded cancellation of IPL cricket matches across the country as they are spoiling the lives of the youth, especially students. The latest incident in which 11 youths died due to a stampede in Bengaluru is an example of the commercial sports programme and its direct impact on the youth and their lives, the activists said. Speaking to reporters at the Gandhi statue here on Monday, AIYF district president Y. Rambabu and secretary Achyutharao said that corporate companies have spoiled cricket by luring players with money to create a special cricket division called IPL. It has become a business event of these corporate bigwigs. In the name of sports, these IPL owners are running a sports programme where the youth and students are targetted. The youth are addicted to this commercial entertainment programme, and suffer huge financial and career losses, they added. In those days, government authorities used to organise One Day International (ODI) matches between countries, and the players and matches were entirely from a particular country, so those players inspired Indians. But in the case of these IPL matches, there are rivalries with Indian players when they represent different IPL franchises. They lamented that this creates an unhealthy situation in the minds of the youth. More importantly, during IPL matches, the youth fall for cricket betting. They said that many middle-class people are suffering from this evil act.
