Internet roasts Saiyaara, War 2 for using the same copy-paste romantic pose: ‘Do filmmakers think we won't notice?'

Bollywood seems to have found a favourite pose for its romantic films, eyes closed, forehead touch, and intense emotion. An Instagram user recently shared a hilarious observation about how Bollywood seems to be recycling this particular romantic pose for every other poster lately. Same pose, different posters The now-viral video featured the latest poster of Saiyaara starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan featuring Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor. Not to be left behind, even the upcoming film Dhadak 2, headlined by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri, followed the same visual template. Today, War 2 actors Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani joined this growing list. A picture from their upcoming song Aavan Jaavan was shared online, and fans were quick to notice that it too had the familiar romantic pose. In the image, the two actors are seen in a glamorous look, their chemistry obvious. But what really caught everyone's attention was that now-famous forehead-touch moment. Kiara's posters repeating the pattern? As soon as Kiara shared the same picture on her social media with a heart in the caption, eagle-eyed fans pointed out that this was not the first time she appeared in a similar pose. In November 2024, Kiara was featured in the song Dhop from the film Game Changer, opposite Ram Charan. That poster, too, had the same exact pose. And it doesn't end there. The poster of SatyaPrem Ki Katha, in which Kiara starred alongside Kartik Aaryan, also had a very similar look and feel. Reddit reacts The video soon made it to Reddit, where fans started sharing all the posters based on the same template and pointed out how similar they looked. While some fans loved the consistency, others found it a bit too much. One user wrote, 'Most posters follow a template. And there will be many film posters along these lines.' Another added, 'I mean how much innovation do you want for romantic films? There will only be a select few poses.' Another wrote, 'They are telling us, don't bring your brain and watch it with your eyes closed.' Check out a few more posters from recent films Recently, Sikander, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, and Sky Force, featuring Veer Pahariya and Sara Ali Khan, followed the same poster template. On the other hand, Devara, starring Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, and Sitare Zameen Par, with Aamir Khan and Genelia D'Souza, used another common style, the female lead hugging the male protagonist from behind, showing emotional support and intimacy. Fans online were quick to point out how these poster trends keep repeating across big-banner films.

Chunky Panday TROLLS 'Kapoors, Khans' After Ahaan Panday's Debut: 'Pandays Came Out Of Syllabus'

Chunky Panday took a dig at the recent debuts of star kids, and expressed pride in Ahaan Panday's success. Ahaan Panday has become the talk of the town after the release of his debut film, Saiyaara. Of all the star kids who have made their debuts recently, Ahaan Panday is being touted as the next big superstar. Following the footsteps of his uncle Chunky Panday and cousin Ananya Panday, Ahaan Panday is all set to make his mark in Bollywood. Amid the praise that Ahaan is receiving, Chunky Panday took a dig at the 'Kapoors and Khans' of Bollywood. An Instagram post has gone viral, which says, 'In a world of Kapoors and Khans, Pandays came out of syllabus." The post featured pictures of Chunky Panday, Ananya Panday and Ahaan Panday. Chunky Panday shared the post on his Instagram Story, taking a dig at other celebrity families in Bollywood. Have a look here: One person wrote, 'I mean, Pandays indeed came out of the syllabus. No one could've predicted that Chunky Panday's daughter will have a better career than SRK's daughter and Chunky Panday's nephew will have a better first movie than Amitabh's grandson!" Another wrote, 'These nepos should take out each other. That is the drama I am here for." Another comment read, 'Aamir Khan's son, Bachhan's grandson, Saif's son, etc. So many big nepos, it's low-key funny that Chikki Panday's son beat them all, like who even cares for Panday family otherwise?" Another person wrote, 'Pandays did come out of the syllabus. Even the one who is not in the acting profession, Alanna, managed to make her way through YouTube." One comment read, 'He's right, though. His kids are way better at acting than the others." The post has gone viral as Ahaan Panday's debut has become a rare success. While the debuts of Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan were met with intense trolling, Ahaan is being praised for his acting chops. In another rarity, even Shanaya Kapoor's effort was applauded in Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan. All eyes are now on Aryan Khan as he is about to make his directorial debut with his Netflix series. Maalik Box Office Collection Day 6: Is the failure of Rajkummar Rao's crime saga a warning sign for Mirzapur the film?

Good news is hard to come by for actor Rajkummar Rao, as his new film, Maalik, has been met with a lukewarm response at the box office. The film continues to struggle, with audiences largely preferring the alternatives on offer. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Maalik earned approximately Rs 1.6 crore on its sixth day (Wednesday), bringing its total India net collection to Rs 19.7 crore. Made on a reported budget of Rs 55 crore, the film has not even crossed the halfway mark in nearly a week. As things stand, sustaining significant growth on its seventh day remains highly unlikely. On its sixth day, the film recorded an overall occupancy rate of just 9.83%. The growth in occupancy remained minimal throughout the day, with morning shows seeing 5.45% occupancy, rising slightly to 9.55% in the afternoon, 10.63% in the evening, and peaking at 13.68% in the night shows. Traditional urban markets like Delhi-NCR remained underwhelming with just 10% occupancy. Mumbai showed a modest improvement with 14%, while tier-2 cities such as Jaipur emerged as relative bright spots with 18.25% occupancy. Also Read | Bhool Chuk Maaf: Rajkummar Rao has become the poster boy for losers; he plays the same character over and over again While Maalik has managed to outperform other films such as Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan, and Sonu Sood's directorial venture Fateh (Rs 18.87 crore lifetime), these comparisons offer little consolation. At its current pace, the film may soon overtake Kangana Ranaut's Emergency (Rs 20 crore), but it still falls significantly short of Rajkummar's previous hits. His last film, Bhool Chuk Maaf, earned around Rs 40.75 crore in its first six days, while his blockbuster Stree 2 soared past Rs 250 crore in the same timeframe. Adding to its woes, Maalik is facing fierce competition at the box office. Hollywood summer releases like Superman, Jurassic World Rebirth, and Brad Pitt's F1 are drawing crowds. Meanwhile, domestic competitor Metro… In Dino continues its strong run, collecting Rs 42.65 crore over nearly two weeks. To further complicate matters, this week sees the release of Mohit Suri's musical love story Saiyaara, which has generated unprecedented buzz with its advance bookings, sending shockwaves through the industry. The small-town gangster genre has been hit or miss, with Manoj Bajpayee also having a difficult time with his movie Bhaiyya Ji last year. Audiences will soon get to watch a feature film spin-off of Mirzapur, which is taking the Peaky Blinders route.

Love For Cricketer & ‘Shawarma' As Inspiration, Mumbai Sikh Family Invented Iconic Dish Named...

Last Updated: For many Mumbaikars, the Tibbs Frankie kiosk outside Churchgate station is where the love affair began. It's hard to imagine Mumbai street food without the famous Frankie — a spicy, flavour-packed roll that's loved by millions. But did you know this iconic dish was born nearly six decades ago in the city? What started as a simple idea during a trip abroad turned into one of Mumbai's most beloved snacks. Today, Frankie is more than just food — it's a nostalgic bite of history wrapped in a paratha. During the promotions of their project Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan, both Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor paid a visit to Chef Sanjyot Keer, who, while preparing the dish, explained the history behind it. It all started with one man's foreign trip and a cricket match. Frankie isn't just a street snack—it's a slice of the city's soul, wrapped in a hot, buttery paratha. It was 1969. Amarjit Singh Tibb, the man behind the idea, visited Beirut and loved the pita wraps there. Back in Bombay (as it was then known), he had a thought: why not try something similar here? He swapped the pita for a soft chapati, added a beaten egg and stuffed it with spicy Indian fillings. And just like that, Frankie was born. The name? It has a fun twist. Legend says that during an India–West Indies cricket match, someone shouted 'What a shot, Frankie!" after a hit by West Indies legend Frank Worrell. Tibb liked how it sounded and named his creation 'Frankie." For many Mumbaikars, the Tibbs Frankie kiosk outside Churchgate station is where the love affair began. The red stall, the sizzling egg on the tawa and the spicy aroma—it was all part of the magic. Frankie became more than just food. It became part of people's lives. Tibbs Frankie didn't stay small. It grew into a brand with outlets all across India. After Amarjit and his wife Surinder co-founded it, their sons Charanjit and Jasmit continued the journey. The secret? That unforgettable masala and a perfect paratha. Food writer Freddy Birdy once said, 'Only a Frankie can be called a Frankie." He's right. It's more than a roll—it's an identity. Birdy swears by the mutton version. 'A Veg Frankie," he jokes, 'is only half the pleasure." Over the years, the fillings have changed. From classic mutton to chilli paneer and even schezwan noodles—there's a Frankie for every mood. Thanks to the internet, it's now famous far beyond Mumbai. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive.
